  1. You don't need to lie. Just go to Guest Services and ask for another card with access to the door but no charging privileges. I will be doing this in August to get my family access to my deck #17 suite.
  2. I liked the proximity to the bar and washrooms. The buffet I found to be a bit of a let down, considering it was "upgraded" from peasant class... We'll be back there this summer and springing for a cabana so our family in peasant class can join us heh
  3. Drinks in the Suite Lounge are somewhat limited. Small selection of beer and wine available from 1100-2300hrs. A smallish selection of mixed drinks available during happy hour from 1700-2000hrs. No frozen drinks available at any time. If sailing Sky class, I would have to buy the drink package.
  4. Hi all. Using a travel agent has it perks ( as heard on many podcast episodes....). I repriced my upcoming Anthem cruise and contacted my TA to get 1500 off...he came back with an even better price...,my daughter was FREE ! We saved about 2500. The second guest 60% off sale is advertised but I have not seen kids sail free to date. You might want to have your travel agent (you do all use an agent, right?) reprice your upcoming reservations.
  5. You have an old email. You must have booked a while ago.. Now the Anthem has traditional dining and MTD. With traditional, you'll have early or late seating- same time/table/assigned tablemates each night. With MTD, you can make reservations for whenever you choose, or just go wait for a table.
  6. First a post about alcohol free beer...now a post about meat free burgers...... I'm afraid of what might come next...
  7. Non-alcoholic beer? That's a thing??? heheh
  8. I'm going to suggest that if RCI thought they could make more money sailing from the West Coast then were their ships are currently deployed, they'd be there. Hell, they probably would have never left.
  9. They are advertising a big time headliner to perform a special concert. I wonder if Bonnie Tyler is available?
  10. I don't bother with luggage tags. I show the porter my luggage documents, they pull out pen and write my cabin number on the tag. If they are friendly, I give them a few bucks and magically my bags show up at my cabin a few hours later. My next 2 cruises we'll take our luggage right into the terminal and our genie will detail some muscle to bring our bags up to the room right away.....not going to lie, kind of excited about that.
  11. Harmony, Liberty, and Adventure are the only ships to currently have water slides.
  12. Bring layers. It can range anywhere from chilly to scorching hot in Canada at that time of year. Contrary to popular belief, we don't all live in Igloos.
  13. Thanks for your super informative review. We are sailing in 1724 in August. Also on my reservation ( err, credit card bill) are my folks, in-laws, and brother/sister in law. Also travelling with us but in separate unlinked reservations are my 2 aunts, and aunt and cousin. My wife and I were hoping to have a sail away party on our balcony. Is this easily do-able? I've heard rumours genies being able to arrange it with a selection of food and some beverages too. Is this easily achieved do you know? Are there fees associated with it? I'm also optimistic that our genie might be able to get Poppy the troll to slide by.. my daughter will lose her mind! Thanks in advance.
  14. Love the big ships. The difference is I need to book a balcony ( or a suite) on the Oasis class as I feel there is a disconnect with the ocean. On the smaller classes I've been on ( Freedom and Radiance) there is the outdoor promenade deck and the helipad. No such luck on the big ladies. But I love the amenities. I felt much more crowded on the Radiance then I did on either the Oasis or the Allure.
