  1. I wonder if the bartenders on board would know how to make a "virgin" mudslide. I was thinking of buying my whole family a drink during sail-away but my son's wife is Mormon and doesnt drink. I know everyone would enjoy a mudslide so hopefully I can find a non-alcohol version for her.
  2. Are you sure when you originally booked your cruise, that you selected "My Time dining" as your option? Also, it is a bit confusing as MTD reservations appear in the planner in the same section as the specialty dining so it may appear like it is something you pay for, but it isnt
  3. Really like your attitude! So many would have taken the weather out on RC as if they had some kind of control. Sorry the weather didn't work out for you this time.
  4. To clarify I meant what is the advantage to doing it as soon as possible (say 90 days out), as opposed to waiting (lets say 14 days) out. Besides your own piece of mind, does it affect your boarding time etc.? I know there are definite advantages to getting check-in done early for some airlines (Southwest especially), but for others it really has no effect.
  5. How far in advance of sailing can you do on-line check-in and what if any advantage is there?
  6. Oh Wow!!! This is why I read everything I can on this site and Liberty FB. You never know where/when you might gain valuable info. I had no idea there even were filters for Gopros. I bought a Hero5 Session a few months back specifically for my cruise underwater experience. Have only used it once. After reading your article I looked for filters on-line and sure enough found them. Thanks for the tip!
  7. I assume the charge is per room order. I.E. I can order breakfast for both of us and pay $7.95
  8. From what research I can do you definitely did NOT go to Coral Gardens. It is an area at the "Barrier Reef" which from what I can tell is just north of Sting Ray City. MY own excursion for Grand Cayman is supposed to include Stingray City, snorkeling Barrier Reef, and snorkeling Coral Gardens. Really hoping we have better luck as it is supposed to be the highlight of my entire cruise. Sorry to hear things went so poorly for you. Anxious to hear about Jamaica!
  9. Actually I found a "sorta" work-around. Bring the compass up to full screen. On a laptop press and hold the "function" [FN] key, and the Windows Key, and the "print screen" key together. This should take a snapshot and save to your pictures directory. Next you can flip the page and repeat! I was able just now to print the entire Liberty compass form June so I can mark it up a bit.
  10. I know how to get to the compass but so far have found no way to print copies. Cant use "Snipping Tool" because once you make the Compass be full page, there is no way to activate the tool.
  11. For the best scallops I have ever had I would recommend the Union Oyster House at 41 Union St (about a block from Faneuil Hall), which claims to be the oldest in Massachusetts. Lots of other eateries around Faneuil Hall as well.
  12. Nice, honest review! Being a huge Disney fan myself (though never cruised) it is encouraging to know RCL can stand up in quality.
  13. The suspense is killing me!! What about those stingrays?
  14. Ich kann sie nicht verstehen! Sprechen sie deutsch?
  15. Makes perfect sense, and I have every intention of pre-purchasing. I only asked for my budget spreadsheet. I am an excel junkie and have all kinds of "what-if" scenarios including such things as "what if Deluxe goes on sale", "what if my OBC gets credited in time?". Originally my sale what-if included the same 30% discount being applied to the sodas. I will now correct that. thanks!
  16. Still waiting for sales that include January sailings, but the other day I thought I saw something out here that would effect my budget......I know they have sales form time to time on the Deluxe Beverage Package. Am I correct that typically they do NOT put the Soda package on the same sale?
  17. I believe Matt is exactly right. I have the same problem. My middle name worked just fine until I joined the Air Force who insisted in using my first name (actually a lot of otyher names too but we wont go into that!). Of course legal documents (including passports) will always use the first name.
  18. Sooooo...Hypothetically...If this plan were implemented....I have three rooms... my wife and I in one ....daughter and fiancé in second ..... son & wife in third. If my daughter and I are the drinkers couldn't I just move names around in the room reservations?
  19. So I realize any answer is purely speculative, but given the test is supposed to run thru November 18th, how soon thereafter would you think RCL could implement this across the fleet. Really hoping I can grab my drink package for my January cruise during a Black Friday sale.
  20. A follow-on article from the same news source seems to shed a better light on what i happening and would seem to suggest very little actual change for RCL. http://jamaica-gleaner.com/article/news/20170709/tourism-officials-seek-downplay-pullout-cruise-lines-falmouth-port
  21. RCL shows Liberty still going to Falmouth thruout 2018
  22. Keep in mind this entire rumor comes from a single, poorly written article in some on-line "news" source called "The Gleaner". How legit this source is remains unknown. Could be on the level of the Tines, could be on the level of Enquirer. A search of the internet finds no other references to a pull-out from Falmouth. Personally I am on my forst cruise in January and it stops at Falmouth but I would love to see it changed to Ocho Rios after all the troubles I read about Falmouth and it's relative remoteness from the attractions (Dunns Falls etc.)
  23. Cant wait for your next report as it sounds like you are doing the excursion we have picked for Grand Caymans!
