  1. My older one, D13, wants nothing to do with blogs and message boards. My younger one, D11, reads every blog and she reads the message boards regularly. She's not signed up as a member because I won't let her but she wants to. I'm sure she will be an Insider in no time. It's cute. She only 11 but she knows quite a bit about cruising and Royal. I raised her right! lol
  2. Something that I've been wondering and I don't even know if the answer is out there yet... Is Odyssey going to run the same Royal Suite Class program as Oasis and Quantum class ships? Or is it going to something totally different like what Spectrum did?
  3. Depends on the ship, but generally 3-4 cabins per Genie.
  4. I totally agree. As much as I love the suites on the newer ships, I cannot stand the shower with the half glass door.
  5. You'll probably get your survey any day now. Make sure you check your junk mail folder because sometimes it goes there. Also, it will likely go to the email of the primary person on the reservation.
  6. People who have had Sebastian have said great things about him. The general consensus is that he is not great with pre-cruise communication but once on board, he takes great care of you. We met him on Harmony back in March, he wasn't our Genie but he is good friends with our Genie. He's a very funny guy. @WAAAYTOOO had him before. I'm sure she can shed some light.
  7. There has been Kraken available on all my sailings within the last year. I think you'll be safe, unless you are on a cruise with @twangster. Just ask @Matt. ?
  8. Haha. Nope. Two years ago, I took a year off of teaching. My kids went cruising and to Disney World during the school year. Priorities...Need to take advantage of KSF and low season pricing! ?
  9. I have been watching my Harmony sailing for months now and no luck. Also at $999 still. It's anyone's guess if they will come down or not. No way of predicting it. Your best bet is to check often. You can always change your mind up to 2 days before sailing.
  10. Feel free to check our Master Member's cruise list to see if anyone is on your sailing. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/2056-master-member-cruise-list/
  11. Yes, you can easily re-price up to 2 days prior to sailing. But like @melski94 mentioned already. Prices for these cabanas vary by ship and sailing. I have not seen it lower than $499 either for Oasis class. Most of the $299 prices that others are mentioning are for non-Oasis class ships. For my Harmony sailing, Thrill Water Park cabanas were sitting at $999 for the longest time. That is why I grabbed at $499.
  12. I let them scan my app but I also take screen shot of the set sail pass on the app (the screen with the bar code) as a backup.
  13. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/07/23/view-the-updated-perfect-day-cococay-cabana-map
  14. I just grabbed one at $499 for our Harmony sailing next year. It will be our first time at Perfect Day and the water park cabana was sitting at $999 for months. Hubby and the kids wanted to do the water park regardless and at $79pp for a ticket the cabana was only a difference of $25 more. No brainer.
  15. Lately the Genie emails have been all over the place. Some get it as early as 60 days out and some as close as a week or two prior to sailing. It really will vary by Genie on this one.
  16. They have but some have reported that their Genies have been able to still get it when asked. Some Genies cannot. This one is totally ship/Genie dependant.
  17. Hmm...I sense a @twangster junior here. ? I say if you can do it, go for it!
  18. To add to my above post, I forgot to put "total". I would pay no more than $300-400 total. Definitely not per person on non-O and Q class.
