  1. This happened to me already. When we lost our March sailing we got FCC and used that to pay for our August sailing. We had to top it up a little with extra money. When the August sailing got cancelled, we opted for the 125% FCC and it was all rolled into one for us.
  2. Another opportunity to send a virtual hug to your TAs (travel agents). This cannot be easy for them. I cannot even imagine the disruption to their lives. Let's hope that things go up from here on out. Here's to a better 2021 cruising season!
  3. Was it the June 26, 2021 sailing for Brilliance?
  4. I agree with what @nate91 said. The worth of a JS really depends on which ship you are sailing. Other than the double points and extra space, if the ship has Coastal Kitchen, it might be worth the upgrade. There are other factors to consider as well. What type of cruiser are you? Do you enjoy time in your cabin? If so, the upgrade to a suite might also be worth it? Does the JS have an aft view (some do), if so, that might make it worthwhile to upgrade as well. Personally for me, my work schedule really limits my cruise time. So the suite always wins out because I simply cannot squeeze in the extra cruise or two that many others can when they save by forgoing the suite.
  5. There is not a MSC blog that I know of. However, if you do a search here for "MSC", you will find quite a few posts comparing Royal vs. MSC. Also, if you have specific question, there are many here who are happy to try and answer.
  6. Sometimes, if one agent doesn't know, another one will. Just try again. This is the way with Royal unfortunately. The policy change does exists though. @Matt blogged about it last week already. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/10/30/royal-caribbean-makes-using-future-cruise-credits-easier-rule-change
  7. I think that’s been around for a while in North America.
  8. Or at least refrain from posting the same negativity on multiple threads. ?
  9. That is one of the best levels to reach! It's just pretty much double what you normally get.
  10. With the loyalty promo, if you are sailing solo, 7 nights in a JS is 42 points. Two or more in the cabin, 28 points. Under normal circumstances, solo in a JS for 7 nights is 21 points. Double in the cabin or more is 14 points.
  11. It's only a 3 nighter but I can only take 2 days off work so it is what it is lol.
  12. But wouldn't that mean that they would have to extend the terms of L&S? I thought the current terms was that you can only shift to April 2022?
  13. Pinnacle is the only level that does not transfer to children. They are on their own for that one! lol
  14. Funny you mentioned that. It just happened to us too. As I mentioned, we squeezed in one more short Navigator sailing after they announced the Loyalty 2x promo. For some reason, it would not let me access the refundable rate for a category VP. I followed the steps and entered all my info, then also did the same for Hubby. When I tried to click "next", it would not let me to the next screen to choose refundable. I tried several times throughout the day, same dead end. In the end, I just messaged my TA and she was able to access it. For this particular sailing, refundable was just over $200 more. I figured that breaks even because if I booked non-refundable and cancelled, I would lose $200 for the two of us. As I get closer to it (not until next November), I might move it to non-refundable. Most suites are automatically non-refundable, but when there is a category VP, I sometimes will play this game. I don't always use this strategy and I get what you are saying. Almost double is not worth it, IMO.
  15. Great question! Curious minds need to know.... @Sharla @michelle?
  16. Why not book a refundable then? That's what we did to squeeze another one in.
  17. ? this is too funny! But we love you @WAAAYTOOO!
  18. @WAAAYTOOO does have time now, but I doubt they will give her a suite.?
  19. Oh, about Izumi, the drink that I absolutely love there, and @JLMoran does too, is “She’s a geisha”. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but it think they have a sit down bar area there. Not sure if you need to pay to get in though. ?
