  1. Totally depends on the ship. Different food and beverage managers have different rules when it comes to embarkation day food delivery. As much as your Genie wants you to be happy, they have to follow rules as well. Other than embarkation day boarding, there is not a dedicated Star Class line ports of call. People return to the ship at all different times at a port of call, there is usually not much of a wait. In the odd situation that there is a crowd, some Genies have been known to meet their guests at the gangway for a faster boarding. @WAAAYTOOO had an experience like this but again, it's an extreme situation, out of the ordinary. I blogged about our first time on SC here if you want more info: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/10695-“i-dream-of-genie”-–-star-class-harmony-of-the-seas-–-031019-031719/ Most important thing to keep in mind is that with all the info out there, it's very easy to fall into the trap where you want to replicate someone else's experience. The basics of SC is the same from ship to ship, but the smaller details are not consistent unfortunately. What can be done on one ship, may not be able to be done on another. That leads to disappointment for some people, and it's directed to the Genie most often.
  2. Side to Side lol. It's only about 40-45 mins away from each other. lol
  3. I just booked Allure out of Port Everglades on 12/19/2021. Pretty decent price on a CLS. Short cruise but for the price it's not bad. And I have tons of FCC to use up lol. @WAAAYTOOO @twangster wanna come along? lol
  4. So I am guessing that the announcement tomorrow will cover till the end of April? Is that what you heard? And sorry about the UFS. I feel your pain. Since last March, we have lost 4 Star class sailings. Next one on the chopping block is going to be my RLS on SY....so yes, I totally feel your pain.
  5. Just curious, who exactly did you get the call from?
  6. Just like @WAAAYTOOO, I have been purchasing things for my cruises in 2021 even though the majority of them likely won’t happen. But what I have been doing is before I cancel the cruise, I cancel the CP items first and the refunds seem to come back sooner. YMMV
  7. I am not sure what the rules are outside of North America, but I can tell you from my own experience, the answer is yes. I have done this twice now. Cancelled under CWC and used the FCC towards a new booking. My TA encountered zero issues both times.
  8. +1 on this!!! Check out what TripAdvisor says about some of these properties....not worth it IMO.
  9. Duh! #teamOasis class! What can possibly beat Central Park, the Aqua Theater, and Deck 17?? I love anything Oasis class, but if I had to pick one, it would be either Harmony or Symphony. The are both so similar.
  10. I like that plan!! Then cruise during early December and January when it’s cheap! ?
  11. Haha...Same. Need to catch up with @WAAAYTOOO and @twangster. I told Hubby if he doesn't want to move there, then at least we can be snowbirds.
  12. I am willing to bet any cruises that involve Canada will not be happening for the 2021 season.
  13. All those cruises prior to November 2021 that are 7+ nights disappeared a while ago. I think it has to do with the CDC conditions. Those cruises aren’t cancelled, just in limbo at the moment.
  14. I no longer know what Plan I am on. Lost track a long time ago. But still booking them haha.
  15. Aww, happy to have you here. We're really just a bunch of enablers lol.
  16. +1 on the Gift as well. ? Clearly, it's been way too long since I forgot about that too until @Ogilthorpe mentioned it.
  17. Labadee Barefoot beach cabanas are reserved only through the Genie or Suite concierge. The earliest you can reserve one is upon the initial Genie email about a month out from sail date. Genies reserve cabanas for their guests first and then about a week out from sail date, the suite concierge reserves for the rest of the sky class guests. There is a cabana attendant. They will deliver drinks to your cabana if you want. The lunch there is a BBQ lunch buffet and most people just go and help themselves. Unsure how covid will change this.
  18. If Hubby and my younger daughter were answering this question, they would say yes, even without the cabana. Like @JLMoran mentioned, they are beach people and Hubby loves the BBQ lunch so it makes no difference to them. My older daughter and I will not get off the ship in Labadee without a cabana. That would be a deal breaker. ?
  19. I am Canadian, and if I sailed out of Vancouver, I would probably tip in US dollars. While true that you can tip in any currency and they can make use of it, between the two choices, the US dollar probably goes a bit further for them.
