  1. My buddy took this while on the Mariner a couple of weeks ago.
  2. I have a buddy going on her a week from today. Another one that goes on her 7/13 and I will be sailing on her 11/9 the weekend before we go on the Symphony 11/18
  3. Good Morning, I used Resort for the Day in San Juan but unfortunately they do not have any hotels in St Maarten listed. Believe it or not, I also have heard that if you call the resort directly (not thru 800 or main res numbers) they offer day pass rates.
  4. Thank God they got rid of those horrible blue faced furniture!!!
  5. Thank You Sir! That's funny you were on the repositioning for the Adventure, we were on the Freedom for the FLL to San Juan Repo 5/6/18. The pictures are awesome. It's a total of 8 of us going next year for Christmas and we have both the port and starboard side corner aft staterooms 1388 & 1688.

  7. So I know you were in a JS for this voyage, but did you happen to see inside a standard balcony stateroom? Did all stateroom get new carpet, drapes, and reupholstered furniture? We are sailing on her for Christmas 2019.
  8. So I have an update with my experience with Resort for the Day in San Juan. We took a short by expensive cab ride from the port to the Marriott (hint:use uber or lyft much cheaper, took uber to airport from hotel only 8 bucks vs 20 for cab). Check in at the front desk was efficient and the staff was very friendly. We were Issued two wrist bands and two 20 vouchers for lunch. Since the weather was crappy, we decided to stay by the pool, good thing, because during our 5 hours there, we had about 7 down pours, oh well, can't control mother nature. We had access to lounge chairs and towels either at the pool or beach. We had lunch pool side and food was great, only had to pay 5 additional dollars. Would I recommend, Yes.
  9. Just booked the Adventure for an 8 Nights for Christmas 12/21 Woo-ho
  10. The only way I have seen fares go down is when I randomly check them during the week. You can be sure that they do not go down during one of the many sales they promote. I agree with the TA. Group bookings have produced some good fares.
  11. In the past, the sign up book for the next cruise desk was always full. The last three cruises which have been over the last year, I have walked by to see one maybe two people in the next cruise area with the sign up book nearly empty. Has anyone else had this observation? They will never admit it was a mistake nor go back to some of the perks they had when booking on board. All they see is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  12. I predict that the Next Cruise desk being removed from the ships in the very near future. Sad for the crew staffing these location, Sad for Customers.
  13. I hear you melski94! Our family is at a point in time that four of us in one stateroom is pandemonium!!! My daughter is going on 14 and son going on 18, man I feel old, not really, the only thing that makes me feel old at 48 is the gray hair which I can live with since I take care of myself. Anyway back to the topic. I could understand to some extent, if they have different perks for those under 16 but in today's world MOST OF our young adults over 16 are more mature. They would benefit from the standard adult perks.
  14. I was thinking about the different on board perks we currently get as C & A members and how they are different when you are 21 and younger. My question is, if you only have two in a stateroom, one being over 21 and one under 21, you still pay the full fare for both, so why are the perks different. One example came to mind is internet, if it was the wife and I we would each get an hour free. Now let's say it's my son and I who paid two full fares, why does he get the modified one for teens? I could understand if you are paying less for the teen but most times they have to be under 12 to get that deal. One could also say the teen is not paying for the fare, but how do you know that for certain! My kids earn an allowance, it's just not handed to them. I'm I making any sense?
  15. It's a long story but it was like pulling teeth to get 1700 for the freedom cruise in two weeks. It originally opened up only for a quad then they released it for doubles. My take on 9692 or 9690 is that you have more of a viewing angle in the corner, however, 9690 has more natural light because of the slider.
  16. I just don't know if the corner with the door is worth it. We have had 1700 on the Indy and soon the Freedom 5/6/18 but they have a full slider.
  17. Copy, if you could would you take 9692 or 9392?
  18. Did you not book the corner one for a reason?
  19. I have the same dilemma for our Christmas cruise on the Adventure for 2019. The link show 9692 for the Adventure which for sure has the window and door. I will agree that the balcony is bigger on in 9692. And one would say it's for the Adventure but she is the sister ship to the Mariner.
  20. Thank You all for giving me some great information! This has put my mind at ease. Have a good day!!!
  21. Thank You for the information, it has made us feel better with our decision to just stay the day. Question, our flight leaves SJU at 6pm, what time should we leave the resort? Should we Uber or Taxi it over to the airport? Do we go thru customs in SJU?
