  1. Yes, the messaging feature works on Harmony. Just be warned you don't get any notifications of receiving a message unless you're in the app.
  2. USA passports are valid for 10 years, 5 years for those under the age of 16.
  3. The dispensers in the photos are for drinks that are included for everyone. Exception being the beer tap, that had a card swipe.
  4. Correct, CocoCay is treated as an extension of the ship when it comes to honoring beverage packages.
  5. A German site last year made claim it would be Melody. So far this has been the only use of Melody. Doing a quick search "Melody of the Seas" isn't even trademarked. Looking back on Symphony, "Symphony of the Seas" wasn't trademarked until a shipyard photo was released. That photo had a partial spelling of Symphony. Trademark blog post: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/01/26/royal-caribbean-files-trademark-symphony-of-the-seas-cruise-ship-name Leaked photo blog post: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/01/20/construction-photo-reveals-name-of-royal-caribbeans-next-cruise-ship Now the domain name Melodyoftheseas.com has been registered by Royal since September of 2013, three months after Symphonyoftheseas.com
  6. Knew I forgot to take photos of a station! From what I recall it was fruit, cookies, and brownies. Personally, I'd rather head over to a Snack Shack for a funnel cake. Can also get the brownies with or without caramel sauce poured over at the Snack Shack as well.
  7. World of random pictures... Oddly missing is deck 17.
  8. EpiPens Carry On Bags: Yes Checked Bags: Yes TSA allows larger amounts of medically necessary liquids, gels, and aerosols in reasonable quantities for your trip, but you must declare them to TSA officers at the checkpoint for inspection. 9. Add to the real fun mix when it comes to towels. On Symphony's May 18th sailing they took down the towel station outside the ship in the afternoon. So you couldn't drop them off when heading back onboard or get one if heading off. Had to head up to the pool deck to get towels at that point. Now I'm not 100% if they didn't have something hidden after security screening. Exchange locations look to be in Thrill Waterpark and over by Chill Grill. This is the map showing the location by Chill Grill.
  10. By policy of the drink package, only the holder of the drink package may consume drink obtained using the package. So if your daughter has a package that would cover juice or virgin drinks, sure. Otherwise it it will have to be purchased, per policy.
  11. Keep in mind any marked sale pricing is based off the onboard rate. On the Symphony sailing week of May 18th the onboard rate was $66 pppd. Also on the first day they were offering the BOGO50 promotion for the second package. So the price for two would have been $99 per day. A few bars also had signs listing the price at $70, so this sailing might have had a discounted rate. Keep in mind the 18% gratuity still needs to be added to these figures.
  12. I recall seeing orders being boxed up and walked out from the Snack Shack near Oasis Lagoon on the 24th. I'm sure these were cabana orders.
  13. Thought it would be a good idea to post a quick photo look around of the offerings a Skipper's Grill on CocoCay. I'm going to assume that Chill Grill would have the same offerings. Per signage, the hours of operation are 11:30 to 3:00 Starting off it was nice seeing the beverage station outside of the buffet area. This area also has a soft serve machine. Getting a closer look at the beverage island area. Better view of the drink dispensers I'm not sure if the beer by the ounce dispenser is covered by the beverage package or not. Also want to say a hand washing station was on the other side of the dispensers. Fruit carving just so you know where you were. Skipper's Grill was divided up into multiple sections. Once for cold salads and pre-made sandwiches. Some sandwiches being made. Grill stations with the classic hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, corn, and not shown fries. Next up was a taco/mexican station, here they had chicken, beef, pulled pork, rice, and beans. (Need to double check if I have any pictures) One highlight was the freshly made flour Finally two different topping stations. One geared towards burger fixings and the other for taco fixings. Finally a photo just for drool factor. This plate was a cuban sandwich (made with a soft sweet style bread), rice and beans plus some of the pulled pork. Also forgot to mention there is a small bar counter within the Skipper's Grill area. Don't recall if they did blended drinks but they did carry plenty of beers and spirits. Only major complaint I had was food temperature, nothing seemed really that hot. Most of what I tried was almost warm, some stuff was hot but for the most part it wasn't consistent. I might mark that as being there probably when they first opened around 11:30. Overall they weren't that busy at the time.
  14. CocoCay is now the Wild, Wild, West when it comes to cabanas. From what I've gathered no cabanas are held back for ship board inventory. @Lovetocruise2002 could verify, many Star class folks have been upset about this change in policy.
  15. @Pima1988 If they are going by dates my hunch would be the date the Cabana was booked. Big kicker, I could see those that reprice getting moved down the list due to a change of booking date. Change of date would be a result of how Royal handles doing price changes from the Cruise Planner, cancel the current purchase and create a new purchase. Plus I'm sure some other voodoo magic could be in play, example those that have suites might be placed in more ideal locations. Plus the great mystical powers of the Genie, if they might have some clout on where their guests are placed. I do recall the Genies have no power in reserving Cabanas for purchase, Star class guests have to do it them self in advance.
  16. What they are looking for is when they feel you might become a problem to others or yourself. Good example might be not being able to safely walk... in calm seas. Officially no limits on the amount of consumption. Some bartenders might impose a 10-15 minute break between drinks. Repercussions could be getting cut off for the rest of the day. Extreme cases get completely cut off. If being a problem still continues it could enter the realm of getting kicked off.
  17. Chill Grill / Skipper's Grill had a portabello and mozzarella sandwich. Snack Shack offers salads and a few non meat fried items. Same subject of salad you could in theory build one with the toppings bar. On the fish or seafood front I didn't see anything.
  18. So far the only one I've done, on Adventure, we had the Environmental Officer at our table. Was held in the MDR at a few tables for 12 or so. Each table an Officer or equivalent, example another table had the Music Director.
  19. On the Symphony sailing I was the only 340+ point holder that signed up. Due to the lack of sign ups it was cancelled. The Loyalty Ambassador did offer lunch at any specialty restaurant instead.
  20. Missed this comment, but I'll agree. Nothing wrong with that in my book.
  21. Might aswell say we are back
  22. Also wanted to give @Skid a shout out for a job well done on this Live(ish). Plus I'd like to extend a thanks for letting me crash it. Sorry we never got a chance too meet in person. However you did manage to capture me in one of your pictures.
  23. Booo... So the time line of key events for the early morning Pub shutdown ~12:45 Casino shutdown ~2:00 Attic shutdown ~2:30 Sorrentos shutdown ~3:00
  24. Wow, meant to post this two hours ago... This was the final Ultimate Dining Package procurement for the cruise. A triple order of the chicken tenders without fries. Sure if I had fries it would be another box filled to the top. Overall I have to say Playmakers really added value to the UDP. The continuous hours plus being open late (normally 11 to 11:30 pm range) added great availability. Never did give Johnny Rockets a chance. Otherwise I did end up enjoying all the pay venues with the exception again of Johnny Rockets and Solarium Bistro for dinner. Not really sure if the UDP would have covered any of the upcharge items at Solarium Bistro. Again from what I was told the upcharge items in the MDR wouldn't have been covered either. Guess that it is one aspect that Star Class will have an advantage of, upcharge items covered. Overall the freedom of being able to use the UDP multiple times in a evening was great. Challenge of course is being able to fit in an early meal followed by a second round later. I still would find it difficult to have a dinner at 5:30 or 6:30 and then try to hit up another place by 9:30. For a final note, once again I didn't get a chance at that Campfire Cookie from Playmakers. Maybe on Mariner the end of October/beginning of November.
