  1. Cancelled my first cruise last night. Our TA added my son, and was able to get the room I originally wanted with a new booking. Price was pretty much the same with this new "sale". Question: how long does it normally take to see the refund on the credit card?
  2. Thank you jce2 and Matt, I'm gonna check it out when I can get to a computer (on my phone at the moment)!
  3. Having my TA checking my 2 bookings for me tonight, we'll see if there are any savings to be had.
  4. No grits on our New England cruise 😞
  5. Seriously? Wow, props to you. Any way we could see a sneak peak? 😉 Totally cool if you can't, or don't want to show it.
  6. Looking to book Majesty for a trip to Coco Cay for my nephews who missed it last time due to weather. Has August had pretty good weather down there from your experiences? I know it's hurricane season, but aside from that.
  7. I believe you on the "they already prepared X amount before we all ordered". One night they started handing out extra scallops since they all didn't actually get ordered by anyone. I was stoked because I had some as an appetizer, and they were killer. But...the extras they brought weren't cooked through and through, so I only ate a couple.
  8. Also, it seems to me the portions are smaller than a typical American restaurant.
  9. I hate to see food wasted, anywhere, but if you're not sure about an entree just order it. Maybe someone else at your table will like it, and eat it, if you don't.
  10. I didn't know they did this in WJ until it's come up on here over the past few months. Will definitely check it out next time. We skipped the MDR last time one night because nothing on the menu spoke to us.
  11. For Grandeur there is no need, or ability, to reserve seats for shows (unless there is a mystery dinner or something random like that). No free water slides on Coco Cay. A big waterslide on land you can buy a day pass for, and a floating water park you can buy tickets for (1 hour slots).
  12. Loved the water park in Coco Cay! An hour may not sound like much, but having to swim to each inflatable is a little tiring. We went at like 10am, and there were maybe 10 people in the park, it was great.
  13. If I'm not mistaken, at least one pool is always open. If they're cleaning the Solarium then the main pool will be open, or vice versa. But yeah, they'll kick you out I imagine. I've never actually been in a pool when they're ready to clean it. Same goes for hot tubs.
  14. On our last cruise we ended up using chocolate milk from the WJ to tweak it a little. Kinda like a melted coffee milkshake.
  15. That bungalow looks pretty sweet. I would take that most likely, I'd hate to get my feet all over the bed trying to get comfortable and whatnot. And, I'm not really a napper at this point in my life, still too hyper. Anyway, that's my never-rented-either two cents. Have fun!
  16. True. So many people do fine climbing, then freeze up coming down their first time.
  17. Do it! Obviously listen to your body, but have fun ☺
  18. I've seen a lot of topics come up on this blog/forum (no I haven't read ALL of it), but never the rock walls (random brief comments have been made). I'd love to hear your stories and whatnot! I'll start it off with mine. I was stoked before our first cruise when my wife said Enchantment had a climbing wall, "on a ship?", I was a little confused. Couldn't actually climb that first time around because I threw my back out washing my hands at a Rays game 2 days before we left. But, our last 3 I've been there. On Freedom I climbed 6 out of 7 days, and there were I think 2 routes on the wall I couldn't do, they just kicked my butt. On Serenade I was out there in the wind and rain hoping it would be open...nope, just me looking like a moron out there. It was open a few times when the weather was good, and I think 1 route beat me. I really love seeing ALL ages trying it out. Some give up too quick, but others dig down, and the look on their face when they make it is priceless.
  19. I chose a Brilliance 5-nighter as our first cruise with a baby, 7 just seemed too long. We'll see what happens. Some of my in-laws live in various cities in that area, so I'm hoping to con one of them into taking us to and from the port, and letting us park our car at their house 😉 I'm now waiting for the later Tampa sailings for maybe a Rhapsody week.
