As for the "group planner" Again unless you have paid for a wedding coordinator or have some other contract with RCCL, you will not have access to a group activity planner. However, as a suite guest, you can utilize the consierge to help you plan things like parties/hors d'oeuvres/drinks in your suite or other unbooked areas on the ship. The consierge can also help get people in you group on the same excursion (sometimes) if one shows as sold out. They can be very helful. We did tip our consierge appropriately.

Unless you are actually having a ceremony on the day of departure, I would not think you would have an escort to accompany your group on to the ship. We were actually married on board (not on disembark day) and had a small group (15) and we were not provided a way to board as a group. That said, on a previous cruise, my parents were suite guests and my wife and I were permitted to board with them in the priority line even though we were not suite guests

Not quite on topic, but I do have a question. If I have a cruise booked with TA, can I rebook it at the "next cruise deck" (assuming it is the same, or lower, price) to take advantage of extra OBC?

I also learned the hard way, but on my last trip on Adventure 5 of our 6 ports were covered by Verizons plan and I was aware enough (this time) to turn my phone to airplane mode the night before we pulled into port of the one island not covered by the plan. No extra charges at the end of the trip!

If are definitely not getting an Internet package, your best bet is to explore what options your Canadian service provider offers. This options comes with some potential peril! Most international plans include the cellular service provided by the ship. This cell service is good for calls and text only and will still probably cost you a couple of dollars per minute. Just be very aware of what ports and islands your plan covers. Also understand that as soon as the ship enters the port, the ship is required to turn it's cell service off and your phone will connect to the local service if you have not turned it to airplane mode.

Question isn't whether they are tech savvy, are you? Also do you intend on getting an Internet package?what mobile service do you have and which phone/device? For example I have a galaxy s6 which has wifi calling capabilities without third party apps, so as long as I have wifi I can make calls at no charge to any phone anywhere. In the past I have also purchased Verizon's international plan for about $50, which gave me the ability to call from the ship (WHILE NOT IN PORT) for a rate of about $2.50/min which is less than the $8 per minute the ship would charge you to use their phone which is always an option.

Once on board I may stalk the people in a hump JS on deck 6 and see how they like their cabin?

So I got two different consensus from two different boards. Here=high. CC=low, more specifically deck 8 and I got a fair amount of feedback. My final decision was, since we have a hump JS on Allure on deck 11 in October, I booked a hump JS (8640) on deck 8 the next fall. That way I can tell the next guy which I like better:) in the end, I think life would be more enjoyable if I didn't think so much!?

We probably spend only an hour, sometimes less, each night in the casino. But it is absolutely a key ingredient to our cruise experience. No DCL for me.

No buzzing or getting warm? I know there are several brands that make this type of device. This one has worked great for us.

So my dilemma is getting a JR suite on a higher deck or a lower deck on Oasis? Every RC ship we have been in in the past, the JS was on a higher deck and we have always enjoyed the bird's view and having a true appreciation of the size and scale of the ship. We have also been in a mini suite on a princess ship which was on closest cabin deck to the water. We really enjoyed being that close to the water. We have never been on an O-class ship, but appears that the JS on deck 6 have an understanding Obstructed (no life boat below) View of the water? So the question is which do you prefer and why? Point of note, motion sickness is not an issue. Thanks

I agree $2 per bag and round up to the nearest denomination in $5 increments. Also, In regards to an unrelated post about bringing soda and water on board, it never hurts to tip the porters a little more if you have affixed a luggage tag to a case of water or diet pepsi.

I am curious. I will be sailing on Allure in October and will be purchasing the ship tour for my father and I. My question is, where do they list it on "cruise planner"? Is it listed as an activity, entertainment, or shore excursion? Last time we did one it was free and listed as a shore excursion but that was 10 years ago. I know it is costly now but my dad is a retired engineer and I think it will be worth every penny to him on an Oasis class ship. The other question would be, Does anyone know when they usually make this available for purchase?

Royal Caribbean's official policy, is that you are NOT allowed to bring soda or water on board. However, the policy is rarely enforced. I have had success both in san juan and galvest getting a 12 pack of diet Pepsi on board. I simply double bagged the 12 pack in plastic grocery sacks and fastened an extra RC luggage tag to it. I made no attempt to conceal it, and it showed up at my cabin with the rest of the luggage. I also made the mistake of stashing an 8pk of diet Pepsi in my suit case. And although they did allow me to keep the soda it did cost me a trip down to the naughty room to collect my bag.

So, I went from Extremely excited to nervous and expecting to be disappointed. This morning I booked (with our TA at 10:30am) Navigator April 13, 2018 9nt out of miami. The price was rediculously low. We usually book Junior suites, but I got a grand suite $3600 + tax (9 night, wow). I went back to look at it when I got home from work and that sailing is no longer listed. Just emailed my TA but I'm guessing I will have to wait until tomorrow for an answer??

I noticed a post on CC from a passenger who is currently on Navigator and he was told by the RCCL representative at the next cruise desk that they will be releasing the new caribbean deployments on Thursday the 14th.

Never mind, I answered my own question. I did not see that I still had to click "add guest" after selecting each passenger from the other reservation.

We will be doing our first O-class cruise, thus it will be the first time we will prebook specialty restaurants and entertainment. Simple enough I know, but we will traveling with my parents and we will be linking the reservations for some of these events. So the questions are: Do both parties have to book separately? Do both parties need to link the other party? I went through the reservation process for chops and I saw where I would add my parents and was able to "check" both of there names. Will they have to do the same thing and add us? Or will they get some type of notification? If I wanted, would I be able to pay for their dinnerfrom the reservation page? Thanks
