  1. The main thing that everyone seems to be overlooking and not airing is if you book a sailing in June, FULL PAYMENT IS DUE once you book!!
  2. OOOHhhhhhhh.....you just reminded me that I had a Bermuda cruise from Cape Liberty in July....I wonder what's going to happen there. ?
  3. It shows one full day at CoCo Cay but it's supposed to be overnite.
  4. Carnival's Princess Cruises and Holland America extend cruise suspensionsF Carnival Corp. CCL, -5.30% said Tuesday that its Princess Cruises will extend the pause of its cruises sailing out of Seattle through June 27. And Carnival's Holland America Line said it was extending the pause of cruises to now include all June 2021 roundtrip sailings to Alaska from Seattle. "We continue to stay actively engaged in dialogue with authorities in Canada and the United States to understand what cruise opportunities may still exist in Alaska, knowing how important this market is not only to our brand, but to the communities and individuals who depend on our business," said Holland America Line President Gus Antorcha. The extended suspensions come after fellow cruise operator Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. NCLH, -4.72% said earlier Tuesday that it was extending the suspension of all of its cruises through June. Carnival's stock dropped 4.2% in afternoon trading and Norwegian shares shed 4.0%, while shares of fellow cruise operator Royal Caribbean Group RCL, -5.17% slumped 5.2% and the S&P 500 SPX, -0.16% edged up less than 0.1%.
  5. Of course I did but apparently you missed the "jist" of what you directed me to read. And I quote your provided link: "Fully vaccinated people can: Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing Visit with unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk for severe COVID-19 disease indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing For now, fully vaccinated people should continue to: Take precautions in public like wearing a well-fitted mask and physical distancing Wear masks, practice physical distancing, and adhere to other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people who are at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease or who have an unvaccinated household member who is at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease Wear masks, maintain physical distance, and practice other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people from multiple households Avoid medium- and large-sized in-person gatherings Get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms Follow guidance issued by individual employers Follow CDC and health department travel requirements and recommendations" This is the guidance per CDC. What you are stating is 100% erroneous information and is being taken out of context and twisted like a pretzel.
  6. Seriously??? Then, how do you explain Italy closing down again??? And I quote as reported by Italy directly, "Italy is facing another lockdown, as the government attempts to contain a recent surge of coronavirus cases, marred by the presence of new variants." I have several family members in the medical field and I, myself, have a medical background. And as for your statement about what the CDC stated is 100% inaccurate. And I quote from CDC directly, "We’re still learning how vaccines will affect the spread of COVID-19. After you’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you should keep taking precautions in public places like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces until we know more." Finally, The cruise line stated that their ship will be 100% vaccinated zone??? Which cruise line??? In order for this to happen the top three, RCG, CARNIVAL & NCL, would have to make that determination and/or U.S. government, which has not been announced for any U.S. Port. If you are referring to Israel's requirement of OotS sailing out of Israel, that determination was made by the Israeli government in order for RCG to proceed with those sailings only. What happens in ANOTHER country DOES NOT apply to any U.S. territory Spreading misinformation unless back by concrete facts frustrates everyone who is seeking to get back to sailing and get verifiable information.
  7. Can you honestly say, without fault, that the vaccinations that are being distributed, IF you took/received it, can AND will protect you from EVERY variant of COVID?? We all know that the vaccinations that are approved and are being distributed do not guarantee protection from EVERY variant of COVID. That's why we are still fighting this horrid pandemic and cruise ships cannot sail without guidance and protocols. There are currently are NO "100% vaccinated zone" in existence as if there were, cruises would have been sailing from U.S. ports already.
  8. Seems as the Med are still having issues: https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/13/europe/italy-coronavirus-national-lockdown-intl/index.html
  9. Odyssey of the Seas is a new ship that has not even sailed. They are no experiences to share.
  10. Princess Cruises and Holland America Line Extend Cruise Cancelations By Ben Souza March 9, 2021 Two of Carnival’s cruise lines, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line, have canceled more cruises and extended their pause in sailings from select homeports. America Line The latest cancelations from the cruise lines affect three cruise ships from each line on sailings through June 30, 2021. Princess Cruises has canceled the following cruises through the end of June: Caribbean Princess: Seven-day Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises Enchanted Princess: Seven-day Mediterranean & Adriatic, seven-day Western Mediterranean, and 14-day Western Mediterranean & Adriatic Medley Ruby Princess: Seven-day Classic California Coast, seven-day Mexican Riviera, and five-day Cabo San Lucas Getaway sailings For guests booked on a cancelled voyage, Princess will offer to move guests to the equivalent cruise in 2022. The rebooking process will have the added benefit of protecting the guests’ 2021 fare on their 2022 voyage. Alternatively, guests can choose a future cruise credit (FCC) equivalent to 100% of the cruise fare paid plus an additional non-refundable bonus FCC equal to 10% of the cruise fare paid (minimum $25 USD) or a full refund to the original form of payment. Holland America Line has canceled the following cruises: Nieuw Statendam: Eight departures from May 2 through June 27, 2021, that include seven- and 14-day Norway and Baltic itineraries, as well as the 14- and 21-day Collectors’ Voyages of those cruises. Volendam: June 19, 2021, 14-day Adriatic Dream cruise and the 24-day Adriatic Dream and Greek Odyssey Collectors’ Voyage departing the same date. Westerdam: June 19, 2021, 12-day Greece and Adriatic Antiquities cruise and the 24-day Adriatic Antiquities and Mediterranean Romance Collectors’ Voyage departing the same date. Holland America Line is notifying all guests and their travel advisors of their options. Guests currently booked on the canceled Europe departures will be able to rebook on an equivalent cruise in 2022 at the 2021 fare – with all cash and Future Cruise Credit funds moved to the new booking. Guests will be offered a comparable cruise in 2022 to replace the canceled voyage and instructions on how to confirm this selection online. If guests decide not to accept a cruise booking in 2022 by April 15, 2021, they automatically default to receive a Future Cruise Credit of 110% of any cash paid on the booking. The minimum FCC is $25 and the maximum will be an amount up to the base cruise fare paid. Guests will retain any other FCC used for the canceled 2021 booking with all FCC amounts moved to their loyalty account for use on a future cruise booking. For all bookings in 2022, standard cancellation policies apply.
  11. What RCG is reffering to is when they apply for a COVID-19 Conditional Sailing Certificate, there are materials that need to be submitted at least 60 calendar days prior to the date on which the cruise ship operator proposes to commence restricted passenger operations.
  12. The funny thing is I have JetBlue reserved but that flight/scheduled time slot doesn't show up at all on JetBlue's site.
  13. JetBlue doesn't let you choose your seats unless fully paid. AA lets you choose. I believe United also lets you choose.
  14. No. You should have also looked up the word "gathering": an assembly or meeting, especially a social or festive one or one held for a specific purpose. Gathering and groups are totally different. The CDC stated and I quote, "Visit other vaccinated people indoors without masks or physical distancing." What you are implying is that the CDC "meant" groups which is not what they said. You have to understand that in the "legal world" words are measured precisely in order for any parties whom make a statement will not fall flat on their faces or end up getting backlash. The CDC has been playing these word games from the start.
  15. Not exactly what they said. The new CDC guidance says fully vaccinated people can: * Visit other vaccinated people indoors without masks or physical distancing * Visit indoors with unvaccinated people from a single household without masks or physical distancing, if the unvaccinated people are at low risk for severe disease. * Skip quarantine and testing if exposed to someone who has Covid-19 but are asymptomatic, but should monitor for symptoms for 14 days However, people who are fully vaccinated still need to take precautions in many scenarios. The guidelines say fully vaccinated people must: * Wear a mask and keep good physical distance around the unvaccinated who are at increased risk for severe Covid-19, or if the unvaccinated person has a household member who is at higher risk * Wear masks and physically distance when visiting unvaccinated people who are from multiple households. Let's not get things twisted or misinterpret what is stated in black and white. No one more than me wants to get back to cruising and as things are improving fast, the only thing that worries me is when crusing resumes that boarding the ship I dont get trampled as I know it's going to feel like the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona. ????
  16. No change to CDC travel guidance In the new guidance, the CDC notes its travel recommendations have not changed: The CDC says people should delay travel and stay home. Here's how close the US is to a possible Covid-19 surge, expert warns Walensky said CDC travel guidelines will remain the same for the vaccinated until there is more data about how much or how little vaccinated people can transmit the virus to others. She added that a "larger swath" of the population will also need to be vaccinated before it's really safe. About 90% of the country is still not vaccinated, Walensky said. Travel brings too much exposure to crowds and the spread of variants is also a real concern. "Every time there's a surge in travel, we have a surge of cases in this country," Walensky said. "We're hopeful that our next set of guidance, will have more science around what vaccinated people can do, perhaps travel being among them." Jeff Zients, the White House coronavirus coordinator, said he hopes the country sees the announcement of new guidelines as a "hopeful day." "We are here in no small measure because of the safety protection that many, many Americans have taken with regard to their family, friends and neighbors," Zients said. "We ask people to continue to do that so we can get there, as quickly and as permanently as possible." There are now 30 million people in the United States who are fully vaccinated, but the United States still averaged more than 60,000 cases per day over the last seven days, according to Johns Hopkins University. Get CNN Health's weekly newsletter Sign up here to get The Results Are In with Dr. Sanjay Gupta every Tuesday from the CNN Health team. "We continue to have high levels of virus around the country, and more readily transmissible variants have now been confirmed in nearly every state, while we work to quickly vaccinate people more and more each day, we have to see this through," Walensky said Monday. "Let's stick together. Please keep wearing a well fitting mask and taking the other public health actions we know work to help stop the spread of this virus."
