I noticed the price list is also from 2016 have they gone up since then?

Also If you prepay gratuities does that not count toward al la cart drinks?

I know if you prepay gratuities it does not count toward the deluxe package.

We are trying to decide if we want the package or not on our 4 day cruise in November we have already prepaid the gratuities. My wife and I can go to a bar and spend a 100-120 easily a evening. We only go on special occasions because of the cost. As this is our first cruise we are still learning. On Enchantment if we buy the deluxe package when they are having a sale comes out to about 475  but that also gives us other drinks besides just alcoholic drinks.

Y'all would definitely benefit from the drink pkg!!

Tip time...if you do not have your heart set on getting off the ship, then stay on. Barely any lines this morning. Kids have already swam, gone on slides, climbed the Lucky Climber, all with little to no lines and crowds. Now they are playing ping pong with no one around.

YES, best tip ever!!  Was on DCL in 2006 and we got back onboard REAL early on the Nassau stop. we were the ONLY 3 people at the pool.  typically it is over run by children!

Pretty uneventful flight into FLL. We are checked in and settled at Hyatt Place now as I sit here to update this. Everyone is either napping or relaxing. D9 seems to have picked up a second wind.

First impressions of this hotel is that it is a decent pre-cruise hotel. I did not bother to scope this as there was nothing extraordinary about it but definitely more than sufficient accommodations for one night. The room sleeps 6. Two double beds and the sofa pulls out into another double. My only gripe is that the sink area is outside the shower area. I don't like that set up. Other than that, very spacious.

    VVVVVVVVVV

The plan is to head out for an early dinner in a bit....La Bamba! ? Then we'll call it a night.

wow...impressive! What hotel is this??   NEVERMND.....HELPS IF I READ, RIGHT!!

Matt, always "talked up" cruising on a big ship for a first time cruiser and I would listen in bewilderment...WHHHYYYY!!!!!!!!

You always remember your first cruise regardless of the ship! Each cruise after can't hold a candle to that first one...UNTIL YOU STEP FOOT ON TO THE PROMANADE OR ESPLANADE ! IT'S LIKE CRUISE FOR THE FIRST TIME ALL OVER AGAIN....AAAAHHHHHH!  THAT AWESOME FEELING!!!

Marketing 101: First satisfy quantity. Then satisfy QUALITY...kinda

I always book late seating for dinner. At home, I consider it late if we eat past 6pm, but on a cruise ship late seating is a great idea.

The nice thing about late seating is it frees up your afternoon much more, and you have more time to get ready for dinner (shower, change, etc).  This is especially true on port days.

No, not too late!  I 100% agree with Matt. All his points are mine also. PLUS, you get to enjoy an 4 O'clock-ish Pre-meal at a Café or sushi restaurant onboard! The TRUE Fourth Meal!!

Ooo - only saw one dog. After all of the complaints on the other site I was surprised. It was a Yorkie - In my opinion was  not a real service dog (no special harness) and it irritated me UNTIL I saw them again (I used the running track at least 4 days which is where the doggie pad is) and he ran to me to pet him. I'm a sucker for a sweet pup and all of my annoyance was gone.

Please understand I get the need for service dogs but think that sometimes people stretch the reasoning. I also would never bring my house pet on a cruise, it seems mean to them.

ummm ...a "Service Dog" would NOT run up to you.  Gotta love the nerve of some people.

  8. Howdy folks!!

For out Harmony cruise next week I ordered the  3 night dining package.  I understand that night one (or 2) is picked for us and we pick the 2 subsequent nights. The system seems convoluted when ordering and appears there are no reservation available. Do I make our two subsequent reservations on the Planner, or can I just make them on day one once onboard??

    Thanks Mike T
