  1. I found this video that shows the damage from a different angle just after the impact and the ship being reversed off the sand. Looks like a significant dent/hole in the ship by the hole (don't know the technical term!) where the anchor retracts into. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/video/other/cruise-ship-rams-dock-at-honduras-roatan-island/vi-AAvKlfj
  2. Yeah thanks. I had a look at that site and that's partly where I got confused - it says possible noise from bar below but as far as I can see it's MDR below and it also says it has a sofa bed but it's a connecting room so I thought that doesn't have sofa bed because of the door. ?
  3. Thanks but I can't access these slides as I'm not a member of that site.
  4. Hi everyone. We are now well and truly doing the double-digit dance having 96 days until our cruise on IOS. We've just made our final payment and appear to have been assigned cabin #6666 when I looked on the cruise planner (we had booked a guaranteed balcony). Has anyone got experience of this stateroom? Looking at the deck plans I think it's spacious OVB and appears to be above the MDR. Does that seem about right? I'm not too bothered about whether or not it is spacious, more bothered about having a quieter location which I imagine, if it is above the MDR shouldn't be an issue. Also, as it's a connecting room, does that mean we will have an armchair instead pf a sofa? I would point out that I'm not overly concerned about any of these things or I would have selected a room rather than rolling the dice for a guarantee - I'm just curious.
  5. Can't believe you're on another cruise m. I don't know whether to be jealous or delighted ?? Looking forward to your posts. Have a great time.
  6. 14 Night Western Med was our first ever cruises on Navigator in 2016. We then did 7 night Scandinavian cruise on Crown Princess in 2017 (were not as impressed with Princess as we were with RC). We have another 14 night Western Med booked for this year but on IoS and with a slightly different itinerary to our previous one. Being from England, we love the convenience of sailing from Southampton.
  7. There are some 14 night Mediterranean or Canaries and 12/14 night Iceland or Baltic cruises from Southampton currently and 12/14 night from Copenhagen nd Amsterdam I think. Don't recall seeing any longer than that in the region. Norwegian Fjords - I've only seen 7 nights from Southampton. There are also Spain & France and British Isles 7 night options so you may be able to B2B it...
  8. We've so far made the most of our last meal on board in the Windjammer - my aim is to eat enough to not be hungry for the rest of the day which helps to overcome the fact that, once I get home, I've gotta cook for myself again ? I HATE the hectiness of the WJ on D-day though. Might give main dining room a go next time around.
  9. Interesing post. Thanks @CHRIS WONG Do other crew members have to chip in and help clean cabins in disembarkation/embarkation day?
  10. If they say it's not available, I believe you can go on a waiting list for our and if all else fails go and speak to the MDR staff on embarkation day.
  11. Thanks for sharing. I'm. Looking forward to finding out more about Adventure. Happy Cruising!
  12. Sounds like you had an excellent time. Thanks for the review.
  13. I'm trying to but I'm on @henrysea13 's diet at the moment ?
  14. I love that the lobster mac and cheese wedges are served with cheese! ???
  15. Looking forward to sailing on Independence around he Med July 14th-28th ? It'll be our 3rd cruise, 2nd on RC, 1st on IOS
  16. I've only tried two: Chops & Izumi. Difficult to rank them as they are different cuisines and both amazing. If I could only pick one to visit I'd probably go for Chops. But then again, I can great steak at home whereas great sushi is harder to come by where I live... This decision is too hard: I give up! ?
  17. Thanks for sharing. Looks like you're having a great time already!
  18. Being a Brit, I'm a bit disppointed about the Fish & Ships addition - I can get great fish & chips so many places at home, I'm extremely unlikely to want to eat it whilst on holiday. That said, I might have to try it when I'm on IOS this summer for "research" purposes!
  19. Is the all-in-one menu thing fleet-wide or is it just on Liberty? Also, do you HAVE to order dessert when ordering your appetiser and entree or can thou order it after eating your entree?
  20. Love this live blog. Thanks for sharing ?
  21. I can't imagine that would be a problem. Just speak to guest services when you're on board.
  22. Have loved reading time blog and looking at all of your awesome photos. It's got me very excited for my cruise on Indy later this year ? ?
