  1. I was told that no crew member can be onboard for more than 1 year - hence the reason they are sailing lots of folks home. Feel bad for the crew - sounds pretty miserable on board since everyone is quarantined.
  2. I have seen unspeakable hygienic behavior in the Wind Jammer - good riddance. Regarding the COVID19 rapid response testing - this is a big question for me with the most promise for any chance of cruising soon (ish). Can it detect the virus if you were exposed to it 60 mins prior at the airport? Do we go through the test each time we get back on the ship after a day on the beach? I assume the crew would also be held to these standards. In the end, I still don't see how cruises can resume until this thing is gone. I'm all for smart, well thought out solutions, but it just seems too soon to hop on board.
  3. Waited 75 minutes Sunday flying home from Denver, and we were the lucky ones. It's 2016 and we don't have any better technology to help the screening process be more reliable and faster? Blows my mind. Saw a poor lady with 3 small children being searched. They were taking apart her diaper bags, going through her stroller, etc etc. People started to turn on the TSA, questioning why they were even bothering with this young mother. Things started to get pretty heated! Yes, I realize that there is a minimal chance she could have been a terrorist or something, but honestly the entire check in, and TSA process needs a complete, modern overhaul. The facts are that under cover agents were able to pass through roughly 85% of check points last year with items we aren't supposed to have on flights. It's a terrible system! Just wait until we adopt screening processes just to get into the airport. Talk about major delays! It's unfortunate, but in our lifetime the air travel industry is going to become much more complicated. Eventually, getting on a cruise ship will become much more difficult, as it should! The screening process to get on these ships is minimal at best!
  4. I'm with you on this one, it's just an average dinner IMO.
  5. Giovanni's, Izumi, and 150 my recommendations. Giovanni's for dinner is amazing!!! Chop's has been so / so quality my past few visits, and for the price it's just not worth it to me. But if you've never been and are getting a decent deal give it a try.
  6. I ran into issues getting cans of RedBull with the premium package last two cruises. Some bartenders would give me a can, others wouldn't. Didn't make any sense since RedBull Vodka's are included in the premium package. Didn't want to argue, so I just bit my tongue.
  7. It's awesome. Gives you a whole new appreciation for what goes on behind the scenes. We did a C&A bridge tour on our last two cruises and it was absolutely incredible seeing the bridge up close and personal.
  8. Ritz Carlton - great beach, awesome hotel.
  9. No ifs, ands or buts about it - my wife and parents have booked a family vacation on Harmony and both are 100% certain they want the 7 month old to come a long. Wife, baby and I are booked in a loft suite, which will help for space and comfort. What are some top tips/must haves for cruising with an infant? We plan on using the nursery on board quite often. Some of my general concerns - baby getting sick where will baby sleep? getting around with baby? stroller or carrier food food food Any input would be great! This is happening so I want to be prepared.
