It was our first cruise and I thought especially in the MDR it really put a weird spin on sitting trying to enjoy a meal. Harassment isn’t far off how we felt leaving the MDR that night. 
 

The main dining room manager and the staff and also the windjammer all laid it on really thick about the survey with a side of guilt trip on Anthem the other week whilst proclaiming they’d been voted the best service in the fleet for the last 8 weeks.

I certainly don’t want to make anyone’s life harder but as Matt had pointed out in a recent video, the survey really is a waste of time. 

We’re just off Anthem and the Teen Club was 12-17 and we never seen our 12 year old from 8pm- Midnight every night. Totally ditched us every day and had a brilliant time. They got to use some of the activities exclusively too during their time, like the flow rider and the climbing wall. 

We’re just off of Anthem and got a free ride in Olden. The prices seemed really expensive and not worth it personally for the extended experience. I hope it comes down for you if you’re looking for the extended one.

I’m 3 days away, and I’ve still got two Italian nights, one day after the other

This makes me wonder…. Why populate them in the app then if what you are seeing isn’t accurate but what I’ve learned in the past month or so…. The app is not without many, many issues!

Anyone had problems with the menus changing?

We’re due to sail on anthem in a few days. A few weeks ago the menus for the MDR were populated and we were all happy with what choices were would have. Then last week a completely different line up appeared with a taste of the UK (not particularly exotic when you live there ) and a great looking taste of Asia menu. Then a few days ago they have changed again with two Italian nights and no sign of the taste of Asia. 
 

We are not particularly bothered, I am just one of these sad people who really enjoy looking at menus in advance and thinking about what I could order but any indication any one has of when they would be finalised would be great!!

In the excursions threads there’s a Norway thread with a great bit of info from a “local” about what to expect in Haugesund that day.

We’re hopefully going to get to enjoy a few hours in the solarium when the 2.5 year old goes to the nursery (never be in any sort of daycare yet ) the 12 year old has (please, please, please!!!) made some friends!!! So the plan for needing to message us hinges on a few things

Just want to be able to drop a message if plans have changed. This all sounds positive like we can do this without expecting it all to be instant. Just as a back up!

We made a conscious decision that we want to be internet free for this cruise. I’m sure as we move beyond 12 we may need to re-visit that!

I’m sure I the answer to my question is no, but thought I would ask the experts!

We’re sailing on Anthem and have booked Jamie’s with some OBC. We love the look of the drinks menu and were wondering if during our cruise if we just fancied one of the drinks from Jamie’s (ie Birra Moretti or a San Peligrino Lemon) we would be able to order these drinks to go? We’ve got the unlimited beverage package purchased already!

We are going to be travelling with an infinitely sensible 12 year old. Can we ask guest services to allow their app access to the chat function or is it just a no go to overwrite with age?

-As an alternative can more than one phone be signed into the same adult’s account on the app?

It’s just to allow them a degree of freedom but the comfort of knowing how to find each other fast!

We’ve got a 2.5 year old and a 12 year old coming with us. I’m sure the 12 year old will be trying to convince us they can still fit in the buggy at some point!

We’re going to be in Haugesund on constitution day this year! Is there anything you would recommend as a must do/see/eat on constitution day? I see from videos on youtube there seems to be a fun parade which well hopefully get to go see, but would love to know if there’s anything else we can partake in!

4 weeks to go. It cannot come quick enough!!

Midnight check-in for Anthem out of Southampton in May, 11.30 was the earliest choice I was given.
