  1. The price is high but I think it's worth going to at least once, assuming you're a person who likes waterparks.
  2. I know I'm late to the party on this, but I also have a Surfside Family Suite for an 11/30/2024 sailing and have 4 occupants (2 adults, 2 children) in our room. Like @Lovetocruise2002, we did not get an option to cancel or change.
  3. For me, transatlantic and a Hawaii cruise are on my bucket list.
  4. I'm sure there will be a Valentine's Day sale, St. Patrick's Day sale, Easter sale, so on and so on.
  5. I flew into Daytona Beach (DAB) for Wonder in October. I rented a car to get from DAB to Cape Canaveral, dropped it off, they shuttled us to the port for free. We flew out of MCO, and on the way to the airport we used Go Port. I bring this up because you do have the option of renting and taking a shuttle one way each. We used Avis in this instance.
  6. I believe it was talked about in their Making An Icon video of Central Park.
  7. Agreed. However, with a large portion of these customer service jobs being remote nowadays, it's harder than ever to properly train.
  8. I took advantage of this when I was on Wonder in October and this is what came with mine:
  9. Interior/Ocean View - $25 Balcony/Junior Suite - $50 Grand Suite and above - $150
  10. This really irks me. I'm a big believer that the newest ships should be doing 6+ nights. If they wanted to have a newer ship do short cruises (such as Harmony or Symphony), then I understand that. But to me, Wonder and Utopia should be weeklong cruises.
  11. I thought I read a post a few weeks ago that someone from Royal Caribbean let it slip that the third Icon-class ship would be going there. Personally, I'd like to see a Quantum-class ship.
  12. Reservations open on 12/5 to C&A members. Maybe they're also doing the reveal that same day?
  13. This is certainly very sad and unfortunate, but you'll have a hard time convincing me it was accidental.
  14. This right here. On Wonder, we did the scavenger hunt and we had to take a picture with an officer. He asked if he could hold our daughter for the picture because she reminded him of his daughter at home who was a similar age. He was so genuine it was impossible for us to say no.
  15. I was there last month. I can't speak for the zipline, but for the waterslides not located in the kids area, you must be 48" tall.
  16. When I was on Wonder last month there was an offer through the Royal Caribbean app for a future cruise. In short, if you knew you wanted to cruise again but didn't know exactly where or what ship you wanted to cruise on, you could put down a $200 deposit. The deposit is good for up to 12 months. However, if you book within two months, you can receive a discount or onboard credit dependent on the length of your cruise and stateroom category. For our 2025 cruise, we really wanted to go on a ship that leaves out of Cape Liberty. Maybe wrongfully, I had assumed this would be part of the Caribbean release but based on what I'm reading it's actually part of the northeast release coming in February. If that's the case, my two months will have definitely passed by then. Here's my question - someone on Facebook said that you can call Royal Caribbean and request an extension on this since my desired itinerary isn't released yet. Has anyone ever done this and had success with it?
  17. Wait, so you're telling me that this Caribbean itinerary that got released doesn't include cruises from Cape Liberty?
  18. I'd go for Coastal Kitchen. Sometimes the adults there are more of a nuisance than children. When I was on Wonder last month, there was a lady eating dinner in Coastal Kitchen who was FaceTiming with a family member. The whole call lasted approximately 10-15 minutes and she was excessively loud during the call and also had her phone turned way up. Multiple people in the restaurant were giving her snarky looks.
  19. I can't speak specifically from any personal experience, but my sister-in-law went on Mariner earlier this year and purchased one and they had a 2-year-old with them. She said everything went over just fine and nothing was said to anyone about having her in there.
  20. I'm booked for Icon in November 2024. When booking, I was torn between two rooms, the surfside family suite and the infinite family ocean view balcony. I really liked the infinite family room because it has designated bunks which would be perfect for the two young kids that will be coming with us. However, I was extremely caught off-guard at the price of it, primarily because it is categorized as a balcony but costs significantly more than some suites on board. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Do you think it should be categorized as a suite? And also, does Royal Caribbean have a precedent as some suites being cheaper than lower category rooms?
  21. I was on this sailing as well. I, too, thought we were going insanely fast. The last 3 days of the sailing were extremely rocky.
  22. Probably an unpopular opinion, I used to collect but as I've gotten older I feel like the quality in these is not worth the price. I would be more than willing to pay for something that is 3 or 4x the current price if it was a little cleaner model.
  23. Anyone have any insight as to what will be sailing out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey in July 2025?
  24. I was looking at this excursion for my upcoming visit to Roatan. I see that it includes two people, but two more can be added at an extra cost of $199/pp which can be booked once onboard. This may be a silly question, but does anyone know if a 4-year-old would cost that or is that price only for adults?
