Congrats! I will be on the same cruise in August with my wife and daughter. here is what I have planned this far: Santorini: Oia on our Own the RC excursion. Ill go back to fira with the car but Ill stay in fira the rest of the afternoon and have dinner at Le Moustache a greek restaurant we made reservations for. the goal is to see the sunset. As for Mykonos - I have booked a car to take us to and from Elia Beach. I am researching to see if there are cheaper alternatives. Is there a ferry or taxi or bus that runs frequently?

Enjoy Thus far I did Oia on our own through RC however I like yours and am actually seeing what is available as I can cancel my excursions through RC easily - Santorini Kusadasi - espheus (solo) my wife and daughter will meet me after my 3 hour trip and we will explore the port city on our own. Mykonos - booked Viator private car to Elia Beach and back Naples - we are doing Capri on our own through RC. Since we only have 8 hours I wanted to enjoy the coastline and if we ever come back to Naples and stay longer ill go ahead and do pompei and vesuvius etc. Barring any Crazy Weather we arrive a day and a half early from our Embarkment in Rome and then we will stay 3 days once we complete the cruise and I booked some skip the line tours through Viator.

For those who've been to Mykonos, What is the best beach? Is it Elia? I want to rent a Bed but I was hoping to see if there are any hotels that offer "passes" I dont want to book a hotel room but a guest pass in the resort and use the pool and restaurant while also enjoying the bed at the beach. Any tips?

I got a free massage. I was polite the whole time talking with the person, there was no nagging or begging or let me speak to the manager. I was just talking to them about my trip and how excited we are. He clearly saw all the purchases Ive already made and they said, how about we assure you and alleviate your wallet a bit. Done!

We secured a win lol.. I wasnt looking for a free vacation. I wanted to see if they can throw in anything and yes I will also get a massage as well so its a wash for me.

I called and spoke to the person on the phone, I actually got a free Spa Credit for a massage. I plan on booking another myself. Ya see how easy it was.

I am definitely not bidding on a room upgrade. I will call them and ask and see what they can offer. I was hoping to see if anyone has done this before with any luck.

First time crusing with my family this august. I wanted to know if you folks ever got upgrades on anything from RC or how to go about asking. We booked a balcony but have added drink packages, wifi package, fun event package on the ship, arcade game pass for my kid, I also booked every excursion on every port with RC exclusively. All in all, dropping some extra $$$ to ensure my vacation is perfect. I dont care for food package, We will be fine with MCD and buffets but is there a way to ask for an upgrade to the room to suite? or complimentary wifi. A Spa? Something? I just want to know has anyone asked about this? Whats the best way of going about it? Thanks Do you do this on the ship or in email prior to arriving?

How was the excursion? I am looking at booking the Gulf of Naples & Amalfi Coast: Capri & Positano RC excursion for my wife and daughter. RC does not really provide much info. So I am debating on spending the $$$ for this excursion.

I am following thread for advice but for now my our plan is to go to the beach, rent a palapa and enjoy the Aegean sea and eat local food.

I am not a fan of the prices on RC site regarding some of these excursions on these ports. I am seeing cheaper options on viator but am open to booking RC if they are all the rave. Santorini - do we need to pay for excursions or can we sight see on our own? I am thinking a catamaran tour and doing the sites. Mykonos - Open to anything but want to see shops and get a cabana at a restaurant hotel and enjoy cocktails and lay in the beach. Naples - We want to do Amalfi / Capri / Positano. Hit up the Lagoon, Go swim, sight see here. Is it worth doing an excursion and pay 500+ dollars or can we hop on a ferry and hit up the coast and enjoy it ourselves. Kusadasi - same as above, shopping sightseeing. I want to get best excursion suggestions. Do I book RC or go with Viator or something else?

Grazie!!! lastly do we get beach time? We want to enjoy the beach and go swim. We want to go into the blue lagoon and swim also. Does this give us time to enjoy the water? I dont want to get 30 mins of beach time and then go drink Limoncello. I dont care for liquor drinking. I am going to be with my wife and 5 yr daughter and we want to really enjoy ourselves.
