We actually ended up cancelling the cruise from Barbados so I have not been following their protocols.

It does not appear to me that anything has changed since the last post to this thread on September 6th. We are scheduled to arrive in Barbados on Dec 3 but will likely change to the 5th or cancel all together if the quarantine rule is still in effect. Does anyone have any additional insight?

Oh. I didn’t know she refused a second test. Why would she do that? Nothing to lose from doing the second test once the first it positive. Maybe she was intentionally on board to cause trouble?

I believe I’ve read elsewhere that she has since tested negative after returning home. Why didn’t Royal do a second test to confirm the first positive? Seems like a logical step to take given that these tests do have a history of false positives.

We did an Uber to Old San Juan from the airport for $15 + tip on December 27th at around 3PM. Friends did the same trip around midnight for MUCH more. Suggest checking Uber / Lyft when you get to the airport and if their fares are up at that time, take the flat rate taxi.

I'll be in Nassau with my wife later this month on a Saturday port stop (9/28). We've walked the areas near the port (shops, Queen's Staircase, Junkanoo Beach, Wattlings, Graycliffe, etc.) and were thinking of heading over to Paradise Island to check out that area. We like to explore. Any thoughts or recommendations? Taxi vs Ferry? Things to see / do? We weren't planning to do the water park or beach as we'll be at Coco Cay the next day.

Looks like Oasis is headed to Spain...

Has anyone heard the status of Oasis’ propulsion system. I’m seeing posts on Facebook that she will be towed to Spain. That seems like a really long tow.

It would appear Oasis has been moved to a new location within the Shipyard.

We booked this tour based on your recommendation KLA and we are so exited to be on St Maarten next Wednesday for this tour! Hoping we get "The Mailman" as our guide! Also hoping we can hop off the bus in Philipsburg for a bit, even if it means we have to get back to the ship on our own.

Matt: You have really built a great community here at RoyalCaribbeanBlog.com! Rich Triplett was on Navigator of the Seas this weekend and was kind enough to get some photos (and a video which I cannot load here) of our room. It confirmed a lot of what I had read about these rooms online (including the pole in the room) but a picture is, indeed, worth a thousand words!

Our "kids" are in college so the schedule works pretty good for us. Kids are away so it's time for Mom & Dad to play! See ya on the Feb 2017 cruise!
