  1. Harmony of the seas. Seriously, I just realized/recalled that this is a RC Blog Group sailing!
  2. No secret really other then the same luck I’ve had my entire life! Let’s see how this plays out this week. I will update in a few days.
  3. Aruba & Curaçao stops in the Southern Caribbean are game changers. I would go with Allure (ship is amazing) and Aruba + Curaçao + anything is great.
  4. I get the feeling that Super Mario is so super that he has no need for health insurance. It’s YOLO with him.
  5. Thanks! Go FSU! I’ve had the same thing happen where it pops up random and you think “I will finish this next time I log in” and then it’s gone an hour later. Royal just can’t get IT under control. Good luck, try back often & it will pop back up.
  6. Close it out and reopen. After about 3 attempts it pops back up. Very annoying.
  7. Not yet, but I will report back in about 3 days when I win the upgrade to star class from a crown loft suite.
  8. I can confirm # 4 as I take my two younger children in and out of the suite lounge all day. I’ve never had a single issue and my kids are hardly what some would consider “well behaved”. Enjoy
  9. Anyone have experience with a Star Class Royal Up? Normally the contact is made w/ Genie a month out but with a Royal Up win it’s only a matter of a couple days before the sailing that the upgrade is official. Has the experience been the same in your opinion? We are not a needy family with lots of requests so I’m hoping that makes things easier.
  10. It’s worth the price for sure. The extra $44 is well spent especially if your already on the 10 yard line ready to score a touchdown with a suite on Harmony! YOLO
  11. Anyone know what’s up with the reservations for children that will need the PCR test at the terminal? Normally an email is sent out with the kids already registered based on our boarding time but this time, nothing.
  12. We are 9 days out and it’s very stressful trying to avoid getting sick and avoid missing another Thanksgiving cruise! Hopefully next Friday after the rapid test results come back negative I can finally relax. I remember the days when the lead up to the cruise was almost as exciting as the cruise itself!
  13. Also, check 2 post above and you can see that @Jason12 got on the ship via a negative result from a rapid antigen test.
  14. This is news to me. It mentions PCR or Antigen, I don’t see a single thing that says you can’t take a “rapid antigen test”. This is the test they are conducting on children at the port prior to getting on the ship from what I understand.
  15. This whole testing thing is a mess. In the interest of clarity, the test must be taken “no more then 2 days prior to sailing” which means if you have a check in time at noon on a Saturday then you can test anywhere from 12:01 Thursday afternoon to 11:59 on Saturday am. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong because we are going to be doing this next week in preparation for a holiday sailing. As for the children, “no more then 3 days prior to sailing- but NOT on boarding day”. My family of (4) 2 adults and 2 young kids are going to test next Friday afternoon.
  16. RC has already released the updated protocols and I don’t see anything like this listed.
  17. Was the insurance slip from the 70’s? IMHO you should ask this question on a watch forum like “the rolex forum” and then go under the sub topic “Omega”. Someone should be able to assist with answering your question. That’s a very interesting piece.
  18. This hits the nail on the head. Invicta is the scam. Please don’t waste your money on this garbage.
  19. Also, important to note, 30 days does not actually mean 30 days… I have put in Royal Up bids outside of 60 days multiple times, it’s hit or miss. Much like the old days where a 1:00pm check in at the port meant you were on the ship eating lunch by 11:30am, RC always has play built into its parameters I’ve noticed.
  20. IMHO the roll out of the Royal Up program is probably one of the better decisions RC has made in terms of its customers!
  21. Can anyone please elaborate on what (if any) of the COVID-19 self test kits are approved and have been successfully used for cruise travel? I’m getting mixed results in my online searches as far as what brand/type test kit can be used for Royal Caribbean. Thanks in advance.
  22. It’s vacation, wear what you want! Personally anywhere I cannot wear shorts & sandals is not a place I want to be anyway (especially on vacation).
  23. This is about as close as you can get with a recreational boat before the sheriff starts flashing lights at you.
  24. I’ve seen them at both PE and Miami. I would imagine it has to do with the recreational boating at both respective inlets. On the weekends it’s gridlock boating traffic. Whenever the cruise ships start moving the Broward Sheriff office boats stop traffic and the Coast + Pilot boat escort the ships out of the inlet to the outside marker.
