carry on storage on Harmony of the Seas
Cactus527 replied to Barbarabeebee's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The only way to get around this would be to purchase The Key. This would allow you to get on board with your carry-ons, and then you can immediately go to the carry-on luggage drop off area for Key guests. They will then hand deliver that to your room so that way when you are able to get to your room, it will be waiting for you. However, it's pricey per day and you have to get it for every person in your room. It may not be worth it; in fact, it might just be cheaper to buy the water package and have it already in your room. Just a thought! -
Saw that too. Enjoy the rain at PCC today?

I'm literally on board a ship right now and I'm going to the bar to order the burabura brew! Thank you so much for posting this!!!!!! EDIT - I just ordered this with the bartender. He said that's such an old drink, it takes me back, do you know we have a new drink menu? I had to laugh. The drink is great!

Here's what I discovered: The beach loungers that are located on the map east of the reserved/for-pay daybeds no longer exists (red Xs). At least, the lifeguards are not allowing anyone down that way. They don't want you going past the rock that's on the shore at the end of the daybed area, marked in black on my map here, so if you want free beach loungers furthest away from the floating bar on South Beach, your only choice is the little sliver between the daybeds and cabanas. I've been out here all morning in the pouring rain, and it's been delightful. I even got visited by chickens!

Thanks. I guess I'll find out this weekend!

I'm trying to figure out something regarding Perfect Day at Coco Cay. I found this via this link: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/perfect-day-at-cococay-wayfinding-map.pdf . However, I can't find it on any other maps of PDCC. Can someone tell me if this beach is still open and available? I like the idea that it's so far removed from everything else.

THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA!!!!!! I'm not a regular alcohol drinker (maybe 3-4 drinks annually), so I love how you've arranged this!

I think a single soda is something like $3.50, but then you have to do the 18% gratuity on top of that, so it essentially becomes a $4 drink. That being said, if you think that you will be drinking more than three sodas a day, it would definitely be worth it. Anecdotally, my youngest child is not a soda drinker and only drinks it occasionally. She went bananas on our last cruise and actually ended up having 10 in one day. So, if you're going to "live it up" soda wise, it might be worth it!

I love the location of the room I have chosen for my next cruise. Embarkation is Friday. When I got the Royal Up emails initially, I just ignored them because I don't want to move. Now that I am 3 days out from sailing, I have gotten three emails in the past week from Royal Up asking me if I am I sure that I don't want to bid on something??? Really annoying! Please tell me I'm not the only one getting these incessant emails.

Your chances of getting a balcony and interior that are opposite from each other on the guarantee rate are like winning the lottery. If you don't want to take that chance, pay the pick your room rate.

Log into your Cruise Planner via the Royal Caribbean web site to see if it's there. Whenever I have a cruise that has OBC, it pops up as a header like this when I log on for that sailing:

If one does not have an Apple device/wallet, how would one see the bar code for this trick then?

Maybe I am late to the party, but I just opened the RC app and noticed that you can now click on "Cruises" at the bottom and it will allow you to search directly from the app for RC cruises. Cool! Love that they are making the app better and better.

Have you considered arranging for the same excursion through a private tour company such as Viator, Shore Excursion Group, etc.? They might be able to accommodate 15 all together doing the same thing the RC tour would do for a much lower price. Just a thought. We did a private tour through Viator in Cozumel that went places RC doesn't go, and itcost so much less than anything RC was offering.

I checked out the Utlimate Family Townhouse for just me in January 2026. $96K. I kid you not. I laughed and laughed, and then said "we're just going to do a Voyager class ship instead!"

Allure of the Seas the worst Oasis Class?
Cactus527 replied to ApexoftheSeas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
One thing I really appreciated about Allure versus the other Oasis class ships is that the darn slides aren't blocking your view out the aft! It still feels fresh and fun. As others say, it depends on what you value. You want slides? You're going to be disappointed on Allure. -
No one flies through MCO?

She's lucky to have someone thoughtful like you to care for her mental health! Definitely go again.

Viator had great private tours, but I'm not sure what offerings they have for Roatan. Definitely don't wander the port area on your own. While the neighborhood doesn't look terrible, it doesn't look great either. The scary part is more the vendors that are lining the streets pushing their wares on people as they come by. Some of them appear to be quite aggressive. Just my interpretation, others may see it differently, but if you want to do something in Roatan, definitely have it arranged ahead of time.

Woot woot! Sorry I missed the original, but I'm doing Independence 9/22. -
I'm so glad it went well! I've been reading all your question posts and was wondering if you had done the cruise yet. Jealous! Going back to Alaska in 2025.

The work around that we found for my 12-year-old this summer was to actually put in the wrong birth year on the app (to make her appear 13), and then it allowed her to use it.
