  1. True, hopefully there are no issues found and we can get on smoothly, even if a little delayed. Sorry you were met with a sold out sailing, I’m sure an extra 10 days would be greatly enjoyed. I’m happy to have found and booked this sailing when I did as I got nice rate, and it definitely seemed to fill up right around final payment date. I’m excited to try out Vision - especially to be on it for the joy of cruising and sailing. I feel like I’m going to enjoy it just fine without the bells and whistles of the newer ships, and with the sea days I should get plenty of time to relax and enjoy the ship.
  2. Yeah, while I’m obviously a bit disappointed to be delayed getting on board, at least we know and can plan accordingly if needed.
  3. I did one last hear that left on Halloween 9so it was the first night and not the “dress to impress” night, but there were plenty of people in the Halloween spirit in costume. They had a big Halloween parade on the Promenade and I believe a costume contest as well. It made for a fun cruise having a “minor holiday” but there were many guests and crew in the spirit and a good amount of decoration as well.
  4. Last time when I was in Puerto Vallarta I had done the zip line tour RC offered. It was run by Canopy River, but they have a lot of other tours that take place across the valley there, including ATVs, RZRs, horseback, etc. The restaurant at the location was pretty good and reasonably priced as well for after a couple hours of activity, and they also have a pool on site you can use with the tour price after the activities. The website is https://canopyriver.com/en/ Trying to figure out my excursions for my trip in September now, my tablemates at dinner raved about their snorkeling trip in Puerto Vallarta they did, it was booked through RC so I might do that.
  5. Have seen nothing but great things about Woodwind, and definitely a plus that they're so close to the pier. Good to know about them dropping off closer if time necessitates it, though I'm not too worried on this trip as all of the port days are quite long. Just trying to figure out how I'm spending the day in Aruba and Curacao now.
  6. Since I don't see this one listed, let's open this one up! Booked on this sailing to be Part 1 of my B2B with the 7 Night Cabo/Mazatlan/Vallarta sailing on Sep 29 after as Part 2. The extra sea day (and cheaper sailing) led me to choose these dates for the pair to maximize my time enjoying the trip.
  7. Just booked this for my sailing to the ABC islands next month. Saw info posted from someone on my sailing who has went with them twice before and looks to be amazing. Can't wait to try it out and enjoy what the Caribbean has to offer.
  8. Well I'm sure you'll be missed in September, but at least someone will be representing the family for the cruise.
  9. Booked and counting down to sail to the beautiful Mexican Riviera later this year. I greatly enjoyed my trip last year, and booked a repeat while on board (booking it as a B2B with the 4 day Ensenada cruise just before for Sept 25-29 to enjoy some more time sailing the Pacific). Hoping to enjoy another great trip and enjoy the company of all the others joining.
  10. Hope you enjoy and have a great time on the sailing a year later from the November '22 cruise @WAYNO. But if it's your 5th identical booking I'm sure you'll have no trouble enjoying things. It really is a great cruise and itinerary, I'm taking it again at the end of September myself.
  11. Happy to be trying out a new location - this will be my first Caribbean cruise. I've been glad to have Royal sailing from Los Angeles for my introductory sailings, though much more limited itineraries from LA than what the Caribbean can offer. But that hasn't stopped me from enjoying a few trips to the Mexican Riviera since my recent start of cruising to discover how much I enjoy it (I've got a B2B from LA booked for later in the year!).
  12. Booked this one a few months back, but just haven't been on the boards as much lately due to a busy work schedule so finally getting a chance to join the roll calls... Definitely got excited for this one since so few itineraries go to all 3 of the ABC islands in the same sailing and have heard from many of how great they all are so I am excited to be able to get to all of them for one trip. I'll be headed out from the west coast and getting into Fort Lauderdale on Sunday morning and just booked my hotel for the night before; definitely in full countdown mode for the trip!
  13. Another update since I just saw this listed: I’m on Navigator for a week long cruise and noticed a Cruise Director’s Language Class listed. I’ve got another activity scheduled for that time so won’t be able to provide updates on content, but the description suggests basics for a few languages aimed at conversation with staff on board. So on board language activities may be up to the individual cruise director.
  14. If only they gave that as a choice in the departure section… and I just checked because I’m on board my first of a B2B and it’s just for true departure timing requests. But like all, I don’t want to see departure in the app, it’s sad enough to leave the ship as it is!
  15. I’m sure it’s what will make the most money first (just as @twangster says), then beyond that who knows. But with most pricing I’ve seen if you’re doing anything in the upper part of the range you probably should have just booked the higher category to begin with since the price would be similar (but without the benefits of booking that category originally, if any, when done through RoyalUp).
  16. Mine was sent within minutes (to within the hour, I didn’t check until a bit later). Maybe check spam/junk folders, and confirm the redemption actually happened in the “redeemed” section of the app. One time there was a glitch in my redemption and it wasn’t actually redeemed, but all redemptions show in the redeemed section across all the family of apps.
  17. It has looked like they’ve been updating the app frequently lately (I’ve seen 1-2 updates a week on my phone). Great if it works to just book via the app. Noticed a few weeks ago I had the option to book excursions via the app too before on board, but had already booked via the cruise planner.
  18. All my recent offers have been quite similar I've received for one ship lately. But I've bid just the minimum and gotten stuff.
  19. @twangster hit the nail on the head with the info. Last week I was assigned a room by Royal that was right next to the elevator, wouldn't have known it from inside the room if I didn't know where it was. Absolutely no noise noticed related to "elevator traffic". Definitely had zero complaints about location for that room.
  20. LA's requirement came from county mandates for all transit hubs, but they dropped that at the beginning of October. But even then, as soon as you got outside the building to walk to the gangway, they almost all came off. (Don't know if it was from mask mandate being dropped in LA, but now there's facial recognition for CBP clearance too so that makes things great for that!)
  21. Bought mine the next day after posting, and my brokerage issues statements on the 1st of each month so I was able to have it to submit for the upcoming sailing (that turned into 3 upcoming sailings quickly after) and already got a $200 return (since 2 were short sailings). Since all the required info was on separate pages of the statement, I just decided to save the PDF and use the markup feature on my iPad to draw big black boxes over all the stuff they didn't need. Turnaround time was generally 12 hours (submitted late at night after getting home from work, got confirmation email the next day before leaving for work - though sometimes just the updated invoice showing the OBC). Only thing I have hindsight regrets for is that two days after I bought my stock the earnings call came in where prices dropped $7 a share. Made it back the next week, but as a human I had that "if I had only waited" moment, but that easily could have gone the other way too. Still bought it for a good price, and enjoying reaping the benefits so far!
  22. @TessOR I haven't used Messenger/WhatsApp but did just use WiFi calling that's a part of my AT&T plan for the first time on ship last week. Got a call from my landlord I needed to take and had no issues during the call on board. And as far as I can tell it doesn't look like any extra charges either from looking at my account online. Looks like you've got a plan similar to mine (that includes Mexico), so the built in WiFi calling should work flawlessly (and SMS texting works well also via the WiFi Calling feature). As for using the phone in Mexico, to fully use the plan you do have to turn roaming "on" but confirmed from AT&T rep that since this is an included perk there won't be any roaming charges.
  23. Just noticed MyVegas T&C changed from before and now state only 2 redemptions for Royal Caribbean rewards within a rolling 180-day period. So now I'll have to be a bit more judicious in my reward selection...
