  1. Since when does Barefoot Beach have filet? I want that to be a new thing but I don't think it is. I'll be there in 3 weeks but I won't be expecting it.
  2. @AndrewJL, don't worry about it. It speaks volumes about you that you want it to be perfect in every way, but the cruise itself and what you do will be fantastic. You won't miss the things you don't have. I'm not sure whose quote this is, but it's one I love and I think it applies here. In your life people will forget the things you say and they will forget the things you do, but they'll never forget the way you make them feel You're going to make her feel like a million bucks. Have a great cruise!
  3. I don't mind a fee to keep lines down and accessibility possible. I don't think it needs to be 90 bucks to accomplish that, but with RCI, it's not what should it cost, it's what can it cost.
  4. Yes, NCL Breakaway has the plank as part of it's decent sized course. That ropes course is included in the fare.
  5. Nachi is in Cozumel not Costa Maya. I think Maya Chan is the place in Costa Maya that is often recommended. I have not been there.
  6. That's a bummer. I'm part of the problem, because we will pay it and do it. I was expecting around $40 which I also thought to be high. I'm not seeing it in mine @TheMaxRebo, is there no listing currently for Port Days?
  7. Yeah, I last saw it and booked it in the spring. Haven't seen it in the CP since. Looks like a thing of the past.
  8. Looks like you'll be in Cabo that day. Accu Weather says High 71, Low 69
  9. Just wait until you board the ship and grab your first drink @Traveling Mike. The atmosphere will be different than the daily lead up and your mind and body will find that place in your spirit that has lead to your many cruises. You'll remember why you do them and have the excitement of what looks to me to be a really sweet 3 week journey. Now that you've posted here though, I am excited because this is essentially a contract for you to blog your experience and share it will all of us! Have a great trip!
  10. The app shows the menu of the current sailing. It is generally the same for the same itinerary.
  11. Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta depending on when your trip is. The beach took some damage from recent hurricanes so it's shut for the moment.
  12. Is your point that there are worse things than thieves @Thom Cruise? I'll concede that, but the post you quoted didn't present itself as an exhaustive list of bad actors nor did it suggest that the thief was the worst. Looks to simply be adressing the topic of the thread
  13. That is not, but it's a great one. Thanks @instaGator
  14. Thanks @FionaMG. That is it indeed. @Robin Eng is the coolest man ever to flow ride!
  15. Totally agree @twangster. Why not do a quick search on Amazon for the magnet, or knock on the door and ask if you can buy it from them for your grandkids if it just grabs you so much. If it were me and someone really wanted it and asked, I'd almost certainly just give it to them.
  16. Yeah, it's essentially 2% on RCI purchases and 1% in others. 4% RCI during this promo. So tou need to spend $2500 with Royal to get $50 OBC.
  17. Hi Everyone, Hoping maybe I can get some help finding an old post and picture. I recall it being from this past spring/early summer and in a thread I think about Alaska. In it there is a picture from a user whose username I can't remember. If you've seen it, you'll understand my labeling it as "The coolest guy ever to flow ride". The picture is taken from above and behind so you see the wake of the ship, I think a sunset and the man shredding the flow rider. He's probably in his 50's and bald. If anyone remembers that picture and that user, I'd love to find it. I want to show it to my children as a symbol of what the effort to learn can turn into. It's far too late for me to be that cool, but my boys have all paths open still. Thanks for reading and any help.
  18. Log in to your BOA account online and go into the card in question. Then hit the Rewards tab There you will see a summary of your point accumulation and a button to Redeem. Click that button That will take you to a page to choose the category. I choose Onboard Credits and Amenities Then you can choose between OBC and the robes From there you can add it to your cart and when you check out it will ask for your reservation number and the OBC appears in just a couple of days. I can't show you that part because I just redeemed everything for OBC on my upcoming cruise. It's really quite easy. You never need to call or talk to anyone and despite reports of it not applying until just before the cruise, that has not been my experience. It has shown up within a few days even if the cruise was still 6 months out. $900 spend isn't going to get you much. With the bonus you could get a trinket item from the merchandise and Charitable Donations section. You're really looking for 5k increments in points.
  19. What's your beef @CruiseGus? We're all just having a conversation here. People share the experiences we have and the things we learn and collectively we piece together possible shifts or changes in policy. Some of it leads somewhere, some of it nowhere and some of it in between. Don't take one person's experience on one ship or something they heard from one crew member to be gospel across all ships at all ports. As you want to be a stickler for accuracy, I read @Ampurp85 post and I see nothing inaccurate. She conveys what crew members and the CL Concierge stated to her. She conveys them not as facts but as third party knowledge in a subforum concerning Rumors. I suggest you are not accurately using the word accurate. Accuracy in the case of conveying a rumor is to convey what was said and by whom it was said. She did that. Can you please know that your word choice is truly accurate before you rant? Please?
  20. Don't wait for the sail @JS514. Book now and if better pricing comes along you or your Travel Agent can do a reprice and get the lower
  21. Hi @MeganChurch You can't go wrong with either of those 2 ships. Mariner is of course the older of the 2 and the smaller. On Harmony, it does hold more people, but the neighborhood concept really dilutes any crowding. You might feel it near the elevators as shows let out or during the dinner hours. I combat that by using the stairs. I would choose Harmony because of 1 thing. Central Park. It's my favorite place to be. Show wise, Harmony is going to have 2 Aqua Shows, 2 ice shows and 2 "Broadway Style" shows (Columbus and Grease). Mariner has (I think) Gallery of Dreams and an Ice Show. You would have a great time on either ship. I do encourage you, even though you are out ahead of this, to engage the services of a Travel Agent. They can do many things for you and you will never pay more for your cruise, but a big benefit is you often can pay less if they have group space on the cruise. I work with MEI who sponsors this blog and they very often have group space on the cruises we're interested in and the result is a really big discount vs RCI website pricing. Sometimes the availability of group space can help break a deadlock decision like you have today, sometimes it's not available, but even then you don't pay more. On a cruise I'm taking next month MEI group pricing resulted in a 23% savings on the exact same cabins vs RCI website pricing the very same day. That's just one example. You're husband will love either ship. Come back and tell us how it all worked out.
  22. You can bring both on for the B2B. They probably will just let you through with it, but at the very least, one will be held for the second part of the B2B. It is technically 1 per adult.
  23. It's only some. I was also past Final for many that I cancelled and rebooked. What you are looking for are the the charges for the things you booked not appearing on your CC. You'll still have the times booked but they won't be paid for and that seems to throw RCI's systems to a place that results in many headaches for the guest. If the things you rebooked are charged on your CC, you will be ok.
