Looks like it @KevinK.  I'm guessing they nabbed it because of the extension cord attached to it.  I bring one that plugs into the European outlet and gives 4 additional USB.  Haven't had a problem, but you never know when the wrong person will make the wrong decision.  As they tend to be drunk on power, they never listen to reason or change their minds.

Hmm I wonder if I take this and pack the cord separately, will it go thru..

@KevinK do you live in the NJ/NY area?

If you do, or if you're pretty familiar with the area, maybe you can give me a bit of advice.

I was wondering how long roughly to allow for a transfer (likely using a car service) from our pre-cruise hotel in downtown Manhattan/Chinatown (Henry Street) to the port? I looked on Google maps and it suggests between 30 and 40 minutes. Does that sound about right to you? I don't want to snag a decent check-in time and then miss it by not allowing enough time to get there.

    Thanks a lot.

I live in Brooklyn, from my house to the port.  It is about 30 mins drive with no traffic.  I normally leave my house at 9:30am for my 10:30am check in.  I like to arrive early so it will be less people.  Since you are taking car service from Chinatown to the port. Yes I would say 40 mins should be good if you have the early am check in.  But of course it all depend on that day of traffic.  I usually stay up and wait till the check in to open up so I can grab the early check in spot.

    Thanks. Fingers crossed. 🤞

We saw it on our Canary Islands cruise back in September and it was early on then too, first or second night. It was one of the very few shows DH enthused about and didn't fall asleep during. It was a tall, slim guy doing it then and he was excellent. I actually saw him in the gym a couple of times when I was working out.

Yup, he was great.. On Nov cruise. I was watching their practice during the day and watch all of their show.  Didn't get tired of it, it was great.  Even the harmony sister is different girls.  Hopefully, on this April, it will be the original cast from Nov.

Booked it for day 8. I'd been hoping it would be on earlier in the cruise, so will keep watching in case there's a chance to change. Do you remember if it was available earlier when you were on in February?

The extended (pay) sessions of North Star and I-fly have also opened up for booking in the activities section of the planner.

On Feb 4, If I recall correctly, it was on day 1 or day 2, and then maybe day 4 and day 6.  It was never toward the end of the cruise.  Plus the first show Spectra was the guy.  Then the rest of the show they change it to a female.  So not sure what happen, plus you can tell the group got smaller.  I was on Thanksgiving also, the show was really good. On Feb Spectra show wasn't that great once they change to the female lead.  That was just in my opinion.  Hopefully, this time, will be good.

Looking forward to my cruise on Apr 23-30 just having a terrible time getting a reasonable airfare to NYC. Kept on waiting for the fares to drop but they are just plain ridiculous. Just found a flight leaving out of FLL at 11:30. If I do the self disembarkation what are my chances of making it to FLL in time?

I though the only cruise out from Cape Liberty on April 23 is the Anthem of the seas, which is 8 days and should be 4-23 to 5-1.  Since I am on that cruise

I don't see this surviving even the mildest pushback.  I'll be on Anthem next week and I'll be ordering 2 and expecting 2 at once simply by saying "Please bring them both at the same time"

If offered the rule that he has to wait until I eat the first, I'm simply going to tell him "I know that you want me to be happy and I know that you would like to receive all 10's on the survey at the end, and I want to give you all 10's.  I really want to do that.  I'm only going to be able to do that if I'm able to enjoy my meal the way I'd like to enjoy it.  Please bring me both"

I should also say, before I sit down and order anything on my first visit, I will have tipped him.

I was on Anthem on Feb. 4, I had my time dining, and all different waiter said they wouldn't bring more than one dish at a time.  I will be on Anthem on April 23 again, please let us know how it turn out.

Yes, this is what I experienced last week.  It's dumb.  Royal really isn't accomplishing anything with that policy other than to annoy a guest.

I totally agree.  Sometime I want to sample different dishes at once.  Now I can't, I have to finish one dish and wait for another dish to show up.   That's why couple night I went to Windjammer for dinner..

What about if you want surf and turf on lobster night? Do you have to wait on the surf or the turf? Can you pick the order in which they are served?

On my Feb trip, on Lobster night, I asked for a lobster and a steak.  My waiter said he could only bring one out at a time.  I asked if he could combine lobster & steak into one dish.  He said he can't have to be one dish course at a time. I guess that's the new MDR rule.
