  1. To each his own and live and let live. The only problem I have is socially inappropriate behavior and people hating on me for my beliefs.
  2. Invariably I will have a morning during a cruise when I will wake up way too early. On that morning I head to Cafe Promenade to grab me a cup of coffee and begin to do my daily walk but rather than use the walking track I walk the halls of each deck. The only reason I do this is to view the various door decorations. Some of the better or more interesting I will take a quick pic of. Perhaps due to the well used drink package there will be a number of doors that aren't completely closed. The most unusual thing I have ever seen was a pair of lace panties hung on a door knob.
  3. I have to admit cruising lost some of the luster on the last sailing...however I have another that leaves on the 30th and it happens to be on WOS which is new to us...and one that goes out in September on the Allure which we have sailed on several times, PLUS, a next booking that I haven't as yet assigned. We are getting close to D+ which is nice and something I have looked forward to. So, I guess I will have to see how I feel when I disembark on 5/7. I can't say that this upcoming cruise is at the same level of anticipation as the others have been. Perhaps the last one has a little to do with it but I believe it is primarily due to all the 'happenings and challenges' that we are dealing with at the moment.
  4. They have my TA listed on the receipt and in the past everyone I have booked on board has gone over to her immediately. This time I couldn't come to a decision for a cruise in 2024 so I just paid the deposit.
  5. and need to book a cruise in the next couple days in order to hold onto the onboard credit. My TA is on a cruise and not connected so I am trying to use this on my own. Does anyone know how to do it?
  6. On arrival on our last cruise, Odyssey, we had a card in the room advising us of our crystal block award and the option to receive it on the ship or have it mailed. I told the C&A person we would take it with us as I had seen posts here where it was months and still waiting for it to be shipped, and it was delivered to our room the day before we left.
  7. My first time on Wonder is approaching but we have sailed on Symphony before. I would sail on her again with no hesitation as we truly enjoyed the ship.
  8. Balcony on Wonder end of April, JS on Allure first week of September...same price.
  9. Wasn't happening on Odyssey. I know for a fact they had a lot of new, 1st contract, crew members and wondering if they were also short staffed.
  10. Food is ok but not much of a variety...it's rather small in fact.
  11. Frankly I believe that RC is totally ignoring Covid and have removed a lot of their protocols and procedures that were implemented after the return. Service to clean on our recent Odyssey cruise was poor at best. Tables being cleared and cleaned was slow. The old signs showing a table had been sanitized abandoned. 5 cruises post return before testing was eliminated and no issues. On our most recent cruise we both came back with Covid. A FB group my wife was on for that cruise, dozens reported returning with Covid. Loved the ship, the cruise and even booked a Next without assigning it to a specific cruise. Still haven't chosen a sail date and beyond our next two already booked, and one already paid for, not sure what we will do going forward.
  12. Really impressed by this ship! The layout is different and takes some getting used to but it is definitely a ship we will return to and already considering booking a future cruise while aboard. The menu function wasn't working on the app and we only went to the MDR the first night and I am trying to see how I can transfer it to this page. Will tell you that it is a theme night setup and they cut the wild mushroom soup off the menu completely, was only available the first night anyway but that is a must have for me. Fortunately Chops came through for me last night. They are limiting the French onion soup to 4 or 5 nights. The food was very good in the MDR but service was a bit slow. We were told by more than one person they have had a much bigger than usual turn around with the crew and there are many on board that are first time contracts. We are doing the CK tonight and tomorrow and hope that I can get an upload of the MDR menu on here soon. Best JS ever!! Love the split bath, the overall look and feel, the fancy curtains that are controlled by the panel and the number of plugs and usb ports. Heading into to Ladadee now so gotta get my feed on as I will need the strength to tame the Dragon's Breath zipline.
  13. Mine are showing and the best thing about looking is the 0 days to go on our cruise!!
  14. Will try to upload for you. Big sundae? Gonna hafta look that up. Will be in Playmakers for the game Monday night so just might endulge. BTW...this isn't just a first on the Odyssey, it's a first for the ports of call as well.
  15. We are getting on for a southern this weekend and like the port choices as well as the Symphony. Perhaps you could book that cruise and watch for rates to go down. But as others have said, 2k for one night more on the same class ship seems high.
  16. Ampurp85 is correct as you can get a tender ticket from the Diamond concierge in the D lounge. We did just that when we sailed Nav last April. You can continue to check on your planner jic there are openings before you sail. If not best to check on embarkation day at the excursions desk and if none are available ask to be put on a list. Off ship there is Cabo Adventures which has a good rep.
  17. I am going to check at the C&A desk when we are on board next week. The reason this came up was because of a phone call, the rep on the phone showed one point less than I see on my login. The explanation above from CGTLH about the conversion makes sense. What it would mean is an 8 day puts me at D+ if the number I am seeing is correct but that is only with that '1' point. Thanks to everyone for sharing!!
  18. I wouldn't keep my Stetson on in a movie theater, gets in the way of those behind me, but would a gimme (ball) cap. I don't wear a hat/cap in the MDR because I have showered, dressed etc. so no cap needed for been out/bedhead hair and my mother told me not to. She would however not have a problem me wearing one in the WJ.
  19. My wife was looking at a menu shown online and was very disappointed as it seems they are not offering the french onion soup every night in the MDR. We sail on Saturday so she is hoping to find out that is not the case.
  20. We have done that room on Liberty, and if I recall correctly, it's about 10 square feet more in the room and 20 more on the balcony.
  21. First RC cruise was 12/2009 completed January 2010...previously on Carnival...so not sure about the conversion date you mention. I do know that the tally from past cruises is 1 point less than what is showing. The only reason it matters is we are close to D+ with our already booked cruises for 2023.
  22. Does anyone know why my point total (shown on my login page) is one point higher than the total on my past cruises? Do you get a single point just for signing up?
  23. If I buy $500 worth of chips at the blackjack table and play for an hour and cash in my remaining chips what credit/points do I get?
  24. Our next cruise leaves on the 14th...guess we will see what the setup is. We have a JS so not sure if that makes a difference on service. Your pool towel suggestion is a good one and will probably grab a couple for the room the first day.
