  1. We booked that one back in May 2022 and it ended up getting cancelled because of wind/weather. Too bad, I think it would have been pretty cool to check out!
  2. Funny story...RC made a big snafu and the deluxe drink package was extremely discounted. We ended up getting the drink package for 8 days for maybe $500, if that. RC sent out an email to everyone that bought the package during the frenzy saying that they would honor the mistake. Pretty sure someone was demoted over that one.... Unfortunately, this was pre-covid and the cruise that was scheduled for 2020 was cancelled. But damn that would have been pretty cool!
  3. @CrimsonCruiser your list is the best!! And I think that's pretty much what we do as well. As soon as we were able to make the internet connection, I think that's when we started trying to book shows. Have fun @Scott Hammer! Cruising becomes an addiction...but a very good one!
  4. When we went May 2022, it was in the MDR but the menu was from Chops.
  5. @RCIfan1912 thank you! Pretty cool that you're able to do that.
  6. What is this bar code trick? I think I'm late to the party as usual.
  7. My brother in law is on this cruise! He was very unhappy to be going north instead of south to Bermuda. But then again, a cruise is a cruise!! Never been to either of those places but I think Nova Scotia would be pretty interesting.
  8. Yes, I just looked and it looks like they are again. But when I was trying to make the reservation in March and called them, they told me they were no longer servicing RC. It appears that they've changed their minds. Sorry...again
  9. You are both correct and I am extremely wrong! I apologize to both of you that I wasn't aware it was not the same parking area. Thank you both for clearing that up for me, I looked up the address (hubby made the ressie not me!) and realized it's totally different. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for the education!! Appreciate you both!!
  10. @Ampurp85 we loved GoPort when we used them before. But when I tried to do it this year they said they no longer serviced RC. My brother in law was able to keep his reservation because he did it so early they said they would honor it. We ended up doing the other parking reservations but from what other say maybe it doesn't matter if we have a reservation or not.
  11. @WAAAYTOOO did you do a reservation? When we cruised last May 2022, we used GoPort and we were shuttled to the terminal but they no longer service RC cruises. We booked a reservation with Port Parking Space but it said that they don't accept customer's until 945am. I'm assuming it doesn't make much of a difference and there will still be a lot of traffic. Now I have one more thing to stress about until December 3rd...
  12. Agreed!! That was one of those drinks I could have had multiple of! Food wise, we've been to both. We really liked 150 but thought some of the servings could have been larger (sorry, but I'd like more than a couple scallops for an appetizer). Chops is also great but agreed with another poster that it's a basic menu, items you can get elsewhere.
  13. I don't have an "official" answer but speaking from experience, I've brought my own hair dryer with me. I know they have one in the room but I'm partial to my own!
  14. The Key is one of those things that you'll hear both sides. Usually, the group that has a lot of cruises and are high up on the points, think that it's not really worth it, and maybe it's not. But for those that don't have the higher ranking, I think it's worth it. We get it so we can get onboard quicker and the lunch in MDR is nice, plus the internet. It's really a well debated topic on here and kind of amusing! I think we'll keep getting the Key until we get higher on our points! Have fun!!
  15. We actually have a cruise booked on the Wonder leaving December 3, going to all these places. We booked an excursion in Roatan that does the "glass bottom boat" and the the monkey/sloth park. We've been to Cozumel before and did the ruins, this time we're doing the Jeep, hidden ruin and beach excursion. We haven't been to Costa Maya before so I'm interested to see that place. You have the right idea, I think sometimes finding something a little different is a lot more fun!
  16. Ooh, I'm late to this party! I love most of the food on the cruise! Creme Brulee is my all time favorite dessert, order it every night! Usually the bananas foster is pretty good but last cruise, I think they used plantains and it wasn't good. I like the muesli that's in the Windjammer at breakfast. Honestly, I'm all about the food!!
  17. Dammit!! @WAAAYTOOO we were on this cruise and then changed it! We're going to do the Wonder in the beginning of December with my brother in law and his family! Would have been great to meet you!
  18. WOW! This is amazing! You have done such an amazing job! Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone!
  19. We had The Key for our last cruise and purchased it for our December cruise on the Wonder. From reading many of the different posts on this, there seems to be mixed opinions on if it's worth it. Personally, I think it's worth it, especially if you're not high on the point/level system yet.
  20. We've eaten at both, but if I had to choose it would be Chops. 150 was really good but we felt the portions were a little smaller. It was more of a looks type of plate, if that makes sense. Chops seemed to have more of a choice when we went. But keep in mind, we did Chops in 2016 and 150 last May on the Harmony.
  21. Oh let's see...I think it was our 2016 cruise. We flew down early, rented a vehicle and took a tour of Big Cat Rescue (yes, that Big Cat Rescue with that crazy Carol lady. This was way before the Tiger King excitement). We took tons of great pictures, it was really a cool place. Time to take the vehicle back, get back to the hotel and realized I didn't have our BRAND NEW camera...with all our great pictures on it. Get back to the rental place to see if the camera may still be there, no such luck...black camera case, black interior and I missed it. We get to the ship, things are going pretty good....well, at least it seemed that way. We did end up buying the same camera we lost on the ship (thank you in laws for the OBC). Now my order of things may not be correct but I don't think that part matters much. Now I had been feeling a little off prior to leaving for the cruise but didn't think much of it. Hubby said I should go to the doc before we left, I didn't listen. We booked an excursion to Tulum (a short pleasant ferry ride to the bus - nearly puked from the chopiness and wasn't feeling good), get on the bus and drive, eventually get to Tulum and the coordinator didn't have the proper paperwork for our group. After waiting 45 minutes for that to get straightened out, we finally get to see the ruins (rushed, but we saw them). I'm still not feeling 100% and starting to think I should have gone to the doc. We get back to the ship, I'm still not feeling great and decide I should go see the ship doc. We make our way to the doc and he tells me what we pretty much already thought..UTI. Gives me some meds and off we go...Less $300 charged to our account (thank you again to the in laws for the OBC). Okay so now we got a new camera and some meds to clear up the UTI. Time for a dinner date at Chops. We get all dressed up and head to the restaurant. Decent dinner, I had some issues with looking out the window and getting seasick. We start heading back to the room and the sole of hubby's shoe comes off. Apparently, they dry rotted since he hadn't worn them for a few years. He walks back to the room in his socks. It was still a great cruise and maybe this doesn't constitute as a fail, but it certainly made things interesting. And pretty funny after the fact..
  22. We transferred our last reservation to MEI with no issue. We got paired with Jenn and she's been amazing. She assisted us with changing an October cruise to December and was able to get the room we requested to be near our family members. Any time I've emailed her, I've heard back quickly, even on a Sunday. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with your TA but maybe give MEI another chance.
  23. Story sounds so similar to ours!! We stayed in an interior cabin ONCE...never again. Next few cruises we did the balcony...LOVED IT! In December we're booked on the Wonder and will be staying in a JS for the first time. I don't see us ever going back after that jump.
  24. Thank you!! That worked for me on both the phone app and computer!
