We went from Interior to Balcony. We generally cheap out and get an interior room so we can put more money toward excursions, dining, drinks, etc. We have a real "just get us on the ship!" mentality. 😆
Like I said, though, our fare ended up being so low that bidding extra to get a balcony was still more than reasonable.
PS: Don't tell my wife we got a balcony, it's a surprise! 😆

My Royal Up bid was just accepted this morning a full two weeks ahead of the sail date. My bid was right in the middle of the "Fair" category.
I'm thinking that I  probably could have gotten it a lower price, but I got our original fare so low with a re-price that our total price after the upgrade is still more than worth it!
BTW, does anyone know when our eDocs with the new luggage tags might be updated? Our Set Sail passes are updated on the app and on the website, but the eDoc PDF still have our previous deck and room number listed.
***UPDATE*** I asked Royal Caribbean through a DM on Twitter about new eDocs. In UNDER 2 MINUTES, I received a response that I should expect new eDocs within 48 hours of my bid being accepted.
***UPDATE 2*** Exactly 7 hours after received my Royal Up upgrade email, I received an email containing my new eDocs.

Apparently Vision lost several lines. Allure came in to buffer the waves. Transferred crew as well.

Have you thought about weather conditions? Snow could REALLY screw up yours best plans out of DC on your embarkation day, regardless of your check in time. If it were me, I would take the flight that got me into your port around midnight, check into a hotel with a beach, get a good night sleep, enjoy the beach and then head off to your cruise ship. That way you will be well rested, stress free (hopefully) and pre-sun screened before boarding. Best wishes and hope it all works out for the best! 😎

It depends. Flying nonstop does make it less problematic. Are there later flights on your chosen airline that will get you to Orlando in time if your flight cancels? Where does the plane come from for your flight — does it overnight in DC so you’re more likely to depart on time-ish, or does it fly in that morning? How’s the fog in DC this time of year?
I used to be pretty blasé about flights, but when a 90 minute delay made us the Very Last People on our Med cruise back in the day it turned me into a “day before” convert. Personally I’d take the late night flight and just get a hotel right at the airport that night.
