I have the Amex Platinum but do not see the offer listed.  If I call my agent at MEI, will they be able to find it?
 
 

thank you for this info!! just saw it also on the RCB and followed the steps to activate it on my card. my final payment was due today and i used my amex so i could get the points!!

The only offer I see through my personal AMEX is free specialty dining for a 6 night or longer cruise.
 

I called the gifts number 1-800-722-5443 and purchased OBC of $900 to go over $1000 for my cruise. I got the American Express email almost immediately after the card was charged saying I met the requirements.  The gift certificate I bought earlier came under some other business name so I don’t think that works but the OBC purchase is the same name as the reservation.
I’ll have to see if it holds and I get the $250 Amex credit. I’ll also need to see if I can get a cash refund once onboard otherwise I’ll have to spend it …probably mostly at the casino.
I consider this risky so do it at your own peril. 

I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to mention that the barcode scan worked for me as well. I just booked a suite guarantee on Monday for a cruise a month from now. I did the check-in on Tuesday morning, and at night I noticed that my SetSail Pass showed me in Sea class and a muster station and a barcode without numbers. Later it showed deck 10, but still no cabin number I found my barcode scanner app, and when I scanned the SSP it came up with a number followed by -10232, which is a Junior Suite and obviously what I was given. I had been hoping for a Grand Suite, since several are available, but I'm sure that they have people bidding for those.
I don't understand why they hide the actual cabin number from people, especially for long periods of time, as reported by others here.
 
Update -- I had my cabin number show up two weeks prior to the cruise. After they tried to get me to bid on an upgrade, of course.

I wanted to comment for all of the non-iPhone users. If you get your SetSail pass but don't have your room assignment, GooglePay may not prompt you to add it. You can still see the number underlying the barcode by using a barcode scanner app. I took a screenshot of mine, then used an app to read the barcode from the image. 

We're 84 days out and don't have our official assignment, but we have a room from the barcode. That room does not appear to be available to book on RCCL or through our travel agent, so I am assuming that it is indeed reserved for us. I'll be sure to report back when we get our official assignment!

Sadly, if you check Royal's website it shows cabins there (click on "May 3rd, 2020 - April 25th, 2021", although I thought the DD was supposed to be done earlier). . I think we can all agree that is probably the least interesting thing they could have put there. Not sure what type as I can't figure out what purple is.

Yes, that is what the website says! Presumably it's just Royal's website incompetence at it again.
Meanwhile, I had not realized that Sabor was going away! We really enjoyed that and were looking forward to using the free lunch there for booking a CP balcony! Given that it was one of two options for the free lunch, I wonder if they will substitute something else?

We did the 12 night Baltic on Celebrity and it was one of the top cruises we've done.

In St. Petersburg, we did the 2 day deluxe tour with SPB with folks from Cruise Critic. We booked late and were lucky to join an existing tour that someone else had arranged. It was excellent.
 
You can always cancel the tours you booked with Royal if you find something better.

There are reports from people who have spoken to the executive chef on the current Anthem cruise and gotten confirmation of the impending change. I think you should reach out to Royal for some official word.
