  1. My last few cruises had 5pm for early dining. Our cruise last summer, July '22 had 5:30 printed on our cruise card and then someone manually crossed it off with with a sharpie and wrote 5pm. Just because it says 5:30 on your invoice, doesn't mean anything.
  2. Lazertag didn't become available on my Wonder cruise until we boarded. It had to be reserved the first day. You could not just line up and get to participate when you saw times available in the cruise planner.
  3. I wonder they'll fix the big movie screen?
  4. The Playmakers on Wonder had free arcade games but they are very close to the billiard table. If someone is playing on the billiard table and you are playing on the free games you are usually in their way. Space invaiders was on the far right and didn’t interfere with people at the table. There were Donkey Kong, Miss Pac-Man and a few others, too.
  5. It just isn't how I would book a room. I booked 4 rooms for 8 of us today. We all have assigned rooms. But they were booked through a travel agent at a group rate discount. If I would have booked the rooms on my own, they would have cost more than double what the agent could get them for. Have you contacted a travel agent? This way you can have a guarantee and not a gamble. I don't play the lottery or go to casinos, either. I like to know what I'm getting for my money. I guess some people like gambling.
  6. The chance of this working out for you is very remote and not worth the risk. We can give you examples of how someones lottery ticket won them 100 million dollars. Then, you are going to go buy a lottery ticket but not understand why your ticket didn't win 100 million dollar, too.
  7. You just need to send an email to [email protected] a couple of weeks before your cruise. You need to include your sailing date, what ship you'll be sailing, and all the reservation numbers of people you want to sit with. Everyone will also have to have the same dining set up on their reservation, either the late or early time. I haven't tried this w/ mytime dining. I would guess that would be much harder for a group. Having reservations linked does not automatically put you at the same dining table.
  8. That is probably best. I'm not sure about all the ships, but I was on Wonder last month. On the big screen TV at the main pool a "friendly reminder" aired about every 10 minutes to not be a chair hog. It said any unattended items left on chairs would be removed by staff and could be picked up at the towel station. It was being enforced. Crew were putting those cards down (like the one shown above from Celebrity) and were removing people's belongings.
  9. It depends on the ship. I'm an early riser. Cafe promenade was open 24 hours on Wonder, but you technically couldn't get a doughnut, fruit, or croissant until 6am. Only sell serve coffee before that. Sometimes the crew would let you have something a little earlier. But Windjammer opened anywhere from 5:30am the last day to 7am on sea days. Port days was usually 6:30am.
  10. I sailed onWonder last week, yes there was an omelet station in the WJ and you're right it was very easy to miss. My husband and I were standing in line where the guy was frying eggs and a waiter/kitchen supervisor asked us, "are you looking for omelets?" He showed us, it was the opposite side, the port side, not where the entrance was. They gave you a beeper when it was ready. It only took 5 minutes both times we got them.
  11. I don't think it's that at all. It is very expensive to bring in a Broadway production show and takes months for the cast to prepare. Now, Tap Factory isn't Broadway, and it is Wonder of the Seas least expensive production show. Voices, Effectors 2, 365, and Intense were more expensive in scope, scale and sets. The workers are contracted with the cruise line. The contortionist is a huge part of the show. He wouldn't be able to be removed from the show. If anyone has seen it, they would know what I mean. I wouldn't want to say anything here to ruin it for someone watching it for the first time. I do think the show is worth going to once. All the other shows, are shows I would see over and over again. Wonder is loaded with very good entertainment.
  12. Yes, he's there. We sailed last week. I was grossed out. Everyone was talking about it after the show. I had to close my eyes.
  13. I was on Symphony last year for Super Bowl. We wanted to watch the Super Bowl in the Aqua theater but it was raining, so we opted for the indoor Cinema showing of it. The only extra thing that they were serving was some popcorn. My husband wanted to get a burger from Playmakers and they refused to sell him one, because the entire venue was reserved. We got hotdogs at Boardwalk Dog House and a milkshake from Johnny Rockets and took it into the theater. Be prepared that the Super Bowl commercials are not shown. You will have the same 4 commercials for 4 hours straight. We just got off Wonder and saw The NFC and AFC championship games on board. The same 4 commercials get old VERY fast. None-the-less, it is very fun to watch the games with an enthusiastic crowd.
  14. It depends on the dishes. Some of the shrimp dishes were small. The Mexican enchilada was actually a huge burrito that I ordered as a 2nd main after trying the chili-lime crusted salmon. I probably only ate 1/4 of the "enchilada". On a side note, I have heard no one mention that there is an OUTSTANDING Indian dish available on each night. We did the Indian dish 4 separate times. The Indian dishes come with an extra plate of fresh baked Indian breads. It felt weird getting Indian on French and Italian nights, but the Indian dishes were the star of every theme nights menu, IMO.
  15. I just got off of Wonder w/ the new menu. Escargot was 3 or 4 nights, but not every night anymore.
  16. I also suggest bringing ziplock bags on board and stopping at Cafe Promenade and getting a bunch of chocolate chip cookies to eat at the airport. It makes for a happier wait. Besides, by the end of the cruise, you're used to eating every 2 hours!
  17. We just got off Wonder on Sunday and had a 12:08pm flight. Our self disembark time was 6:45AM, but we went to Windjammer and had breakfast and left the ship at 7:30AM. Walking off the ship was no wait at all. Opened the app, picked a Lyft that saved $12 because we'd wait 15 minutes. We got to MCO by 8:20AM. This was too early for me. You cannot check a bag before 3 hours early. So, we waited until 9:08AM to check our bag. TSA precheck took about 10 min. Then, we were stuck waiting almost 2 hours before we could board. Starbucks line past security did take 45min. But I would have much rather had an 11am flight and less waiting at the airport.
  18. I'm a nurse at an intercity hospital in Cleveland, OH. Weed is not legal in our state. We just got 3 new police dogs at our hospital. The officers told us the dogs sniff all drugs except for marijuana. They said the reason was, "it might be legal someday and they don't want to retrain them. Besides, do you really need a dog to smell it? We can smell it as humans, a mile away!".
  19. I’m on Wonder next week and want to watch the games, too. I’m hoping playmakers isn’t the only venue. I’m pretty sure way more people than playmakers can hold will be interested in watching the games. I was on Symphony last year for Super Bowl and they had it in the aqua theater, main theater and they didn’t even let us get a burger to go at Playmakers because you needed a reservation.
  20. I can't help w/ lobster lunch, but we bought a very cute hand painted and crafted coffee mug with a sloth painted on it from the iguana encounter that we did after going to Daniel Johnson.
  21. I've been to Daniel Johnson a few times. We absolutely love it there. Although you are holding the sloths and can get very good video and pictures, you must remain very still with the sloths. Get off the ship early because once the sloths don't want to be held anymore, they will stop people from holding them, their sloths come first, not the guests. Yes, you will get a private driver for the day, the snorkeling is done right at the sight Daniel has his own boats. The boats are Pittsburgh steelers themed (if you can get beyond that) sorry we're from Cleveland. If you're lucky Daniel Johnson (the owner) might be your captain of the boat and take you to the off shore snorkeling and share his life stories with you. We can't say enough wonderful things about him, his family, and his business. Highly recommended. I'd recommend going to the iguana add on, too. It's at a different facility, but another amazing animal encounter that your driver will take you to.
  22. Im on Wonder in 13 days. We're in San Juan from 2pm to 10pm.
  23. I went ahead and booked it, hoping that the mask requirement is old info. We’ve never done a behind the scenes tour before.
  24. I wonder if the disparity in mask wearing is because Ovation is down in the South Pacific? Wonder is sailing out of Orlando. They haven't worn masks out of Florida since February. Anyone done the tour on Wonder? I would call Royal, but we all know their phone reps don't have a clue!
  25. I just noticed that this became available for my Wonder cruise in a couple of weeks. I was reading the description and it says that a KN95 mask must be worn. Has anyone done the ship tour in the last few months? I don't want to do the tour if we have to wear a KN95 mask. I was hoping this might be an outdated description.
