  1. It isn't an e-mail template. When you log into your account and go to your cruise and then boarding pass a message pops up. On it talks about vaccines, unvaccinated onboard testing, and then states pre-cruise it shows the message that it hasn't been announced. It could very well be they just haven't updated it. The cruise is 29 days out. Like I stated I am going as if I need everyone to test, but it is odd to me that this is not updated for our cruise. When I click on the health and safety page specific for Harmony it doesn't even mention at all about pre-cruise testing other than the one at port for un-vaxed. I mean honestly they need to update that, because for anyone who is on these cruises aren't going to realize they need tested if they follow all the links for their specific cruise.
  2. Agreed, I am planning on scheduling my tests as soon as it is two weeks out from the date, but mine says the same thing. Wonder if non-holiday cruises have the same message or just holiday ones. I would think it would have the testing protocols announced to March so I thought it was interesting when it said testing protocols have not been announced.
  3. I am sailing out of the US. I noticed it the other day as I ignored it thinking it just said we needed to test since I had known we needed to test based on checking everything out since my son is unvaxed (under 5). But the other day I read it and realized it said they didn't know what the rules would be. I am moving as if I need everyone tested, but clearly they don't have the rules set in stone at this point or it would tell me when I logged in for my specific cruise. I am wondering with Christmas and Christmas Eve if they are trying to do 3 days instead of 2.
  4. This is not what my cruise information states. For my Dec 26th cruise it specifically states "Pre-cruise and onboard/debarkation testing requirements have not yet been announced. Tap Health on the Royal Caribbean app's home screen or visit our website for updates." when I go into my boarding information.
  5. It shows as an option for my Dec 26th cruise on Harmony at CocoCay
  6. Thrill Park is down $50 that seemed to be the largest drop. I believe the Vroom s cheaper, but that is the one I didn't remember from a week ago. All the drink packages dropped in price. Very few excursions dropped in price though, mostly CocoCay stuff.
  7. CVS and Walgreens don't put their testing schedules out that far. I can't even make an appointment for anything past 12/5. Same with the Curative site, most places that have tests only have appointments to the beginning of December. I tried calling one place and they said they haven't been told anything for the holidays yet. So I figured I would check 2 weeks before Christmas Eve for appointments at various places as that seems to be when schedules are released. If I can't find anything anywhere then I will order the mail tests. There are 5 of us and my son can't use the at home tests at all, but he can test the day before Christmas Eve, so I know for him I can get something. We have so many testing places that do Rapid Antigen around us I see no reason to pay for mail in unless I absolutely cannot find a rapid for Christmas Eve once it gets in the time frame where they release appointments. I no longer am in a hot spot so testing is much easier to find these days in my area.
  8. I also assumed it was a park non-tour people could go on. Which is why the being able to explore the park, beach, pool, etc seemed so odd to me.
  9. I am curious how they will start to handle the kids club with some kids vaccinated and some not and will that push them in a direction to move to fully vaxed. Because unvaxed I guess have to stay socially distanced, but vaxed wouldn't. So are they going to say you over here can be closer but you over here can't? And will that make some upset that their kid has to socially distanced even though they are vaxed. I guess I will find out in December as I will have 2 vaxed and 1 not (he is under 5).
  10. My drink packages are much cheaper now also. The one is $13 cheaper than it was yesterday.
  11. I will need to remember to pack my toiletry scissors because my 6 year old has tiny wrists and I imagine there will be a ton of band hanging down that she will get into everything. Glad I saw this post.
  12. Honduras Gumbalimba Preservation Park tour. You can hang out on the beach, hang out at a pool, or go back into the park and explore on your own. It says "Coaches will be returning to the pier throughout the afternoon"
  13. I am fully aware of the rules, but two of my tours have "Free Time" at the end of the tour. One allows you to do one of 3 things and there is multiple buses to take you back when you are ready. I thought that was interesting with the rules that it should be a "bubble tour"
  14. Oh good to hear, I was planning to see what deals Black Friday would get me for food. I don't have to do a specialty place but my one child did ask about that one.
  15. That answers my question. I was wondering on Oasis if the boardwalk and central park were places you had to wear masks. I am like I think that is considered outside, but never been on an Oasis ship. So is it really just walking to and from room to destination and entering places of eating? But once at table you can remove mask, right? And then shows? my son is 4 so family shows we will have to be in the unvaccinated area but if he is not with us and in the kids area then we can do vaccinated stuff because my two girls will be vaccinated. I did notice the only restaurant my kids would want is vax only and I don't want to do it without my son because he loves sushi and hibachi too.
  16. I actually now realize it was CVS I took my daughter and had the results within an hour. They are right across the street from each other so I mix them up all the time. But CVS is also antigen so they should work too. I plan to make an appointment for all 5 of us at CVS on Christmas Eve since my son's test has to be in person I might as well do all of us in person and get it done for free. That way we will have the results within an hour and then enjoy the rest of our Christmas holiday.
  17. Not sure if you could do that. But CVS is another option and I know the one near us is not drive thru, it is a separate building off to the side.
  18. If you don't get them uploaded I imagine you can show them at the port? I am noticing my kids don't have the upload option, but they can't be fully vaxed until mid-December so maybe they will open it up then for them? We are sailing Dec 26th.
  19. Is there long lines for stuff or the decks packed? Christmas I am thinking would be max like Thanksgiving and RC said they are shooting for 65% in December. Hoping it isn't too crazy at 65%
  20. No doubt there is some hesitancy, but what I am saying is that hesitancy only hurts cruises if it is their demographics. Everyone I know that does cruises on a regular basis are getting their kids vaccinated. So will it hurt their demographic is the question? I don't think it will.
  21. It is filtered right? I can't drink tap water from most locations as I get really sick. I wish I didn't, but unfortunately I do. I believe someone said all boats are reverse osmosis which is the same process Dasani uses and I can drink their water with no issues.
  22. I looks at over 100 PP and said nope. We will bring Snorkling gear and teach the kids how to snorkle and enjoy the beach for free.
  23. This. We go to a resort that some older people are amazing with the kids and other ones wish we didn't exist and this was long before Covid. I feel like saying to them, "weren't you a kids once?" or "didn't you have young kids once?" Like I have every right to be in this pool lol My kids are well behaved so typically anyone that gives us that look or whisper loosen up. We also get that look at nicer restaurants. I am like what? We aren't allowed to have nicer meals once we have kids? But we also get a TON of comments from people about how refreshing it is to see well behaved kids and most that give us that stink eye also tend to say those things at the end of their meal. My guess if they have had bad experiences with kids and so they tend to brace for the worse.
  24. When I had my daughter tested due to exposure they had the results to me in an hour. I just figured I would make an appointment for all 5 of us for Christmas Eve morning to do our test and have the results back within an hour. Christmas day I expect them to be closed, but not Christmas Eve morning.
  25. I keep hearing this, but I live in a neighborhood with lots of families that can afford Disney and other cruises and vacation a decent amount. I have yet to find a parent who isn't vaccinating their child. Almost everyone got appointments within the first 7 days they were released. A few waited due to their schedules or they had to wait 90 days from a Covid case. But everyone now has their first shot done. The only people who didn't get their kids vaccinated are the same that didn't get themselves vaccinated which is very few people and they wouldn't be able to cruise anyways since they are not vaccinated.
