What ship?

I was on a B2B in January with wife. The day we got off 2nd cruise, we tested positive for COVID. Only reason I did a test was for a colonoscopy (following week)and before I started taking the crappy tasting stuff. I would prefer to have the test than require people to have the shots. I prefer neither overall.

We did a free Casino cruise 1 - 8 April on the Wonder.

Go with an open mind. It is a cruise, so never too bad. I am a tad spoiled.

Of my 10 or so cruises since October 2021, Mariner has been the worst. For the first time ever, we had crew members telling us how bad the ship management was. The ship did not have positive vibes. We cancelled a subsequent cruise last month on her. Brilliance, Independence, and Wonder were all pretty good. I want to hear the bad and the good to help me make informed decisions.

On the Explorer now with the Key. You get the "Chops" lunch and free room service. Shorts 24X7 if you so desire. The lunch was kinda weak and we skipped it the second part of our B2B. The departure breakfast has been good on Explorer and the Mariner.

I made Prime last December on the Independence. My wife made Prime in January on the Brilliance. Within minutes of making Prime the casino hosts put a sticker on our Seapass Card and the free drinks started flowing. Here on the Explorer the casino host is telling people that the Prime Status does not start until April 1st. I think he is wrong. Even the Club Royale Terms and Condition document states "Members are eligible for benefits, as identified by the Club Royale Reward Program benefit grid, when the Member earns the required minimum Tier Credits associated with the tier level during the annual evaluation period." This is unlike waiting for the next cruise when you tier up in the C&A world. Anybody ever had this issue?

If it is available for your cruise, look under the internet tab on your particular cruise. or call RCL. It does sell out sometimes.

Best port so far! Beautiful island. We did the catamaran to the Pitons. Incredible. First island that we would seriously think of coming back to as a standalone trip. Looking at a week at Ti Kaye Resort.

Generally, double the price but u only pay tax and gratuity for one.

Nothing special. Same as on the Mariner. Room for about 25-30 peeps. An outdoor area that is noisy due to looking out over the basketball court. The staff is amazing though and very helpful.

As long as the porters are accepting luggage, drop it off. We usually drop off luggage, park, and leave carry on baggage in vehicle. If way to early for boarding, we go to Grills. GREAT place for a meal.

Try to buy the upgrade outright first. It may be cheaper and you get the double points.

You can also try to use the money off codes to pay for the cruise. I have used the online redeem button and just checked off the complementary cruise circle. Never been turned down. My wife and I also usually book two rooms on the same cruise. We invite friends or just get double points.

Just don't answer the questions the wrong way. I abhor the fact that they can ask such questions. A negative covid test should be the only proof needed. My opinion.

Plenty of room for 2 fully loaded ships. So far ships are running closer to half full.

My wife and I like water, snorkeling, rain forests, drinking, eating, beautiful sites, and rum. Do not like tour buses, guided city tours. Going to the following islands (out of San Juan) starting 13 March on an Explorer B2B. Recommendation on at least 2 fun things to do on each island. Never been to any of these places. THANKS! Windjammer dinner was not so great last week on the Mariner. Tried it once and hit Playmakers and pizza place after that. Breakfast was good enough.

I ordered kits 2 days ago. Out for delivery to me now. I'm near Tampa and the kits seem to be coming from the Miami area.

Go to the MDR, after boarding, and talk to the peeps there. You can try before cruise, but not sure how that works.

We are on B2B - 13-27 March.

We are getting tons of Royal Up offers. We book two rooms. You only pay tax and gratuities for 2 people whether in one or two rooms (more if u have over 2 peeps). We then upgrade one room to a balcony with Royal Up. Made Diamond last week. Was Gold 4 months ago.

6 cruises since December - @50% full.

Throw in Prime and you really do not need the UDP.
