I don't know if i was just lucky or not, but I had reserved a couple of activities on CocoCay on separate trips...I didn't show up to those and it was refunded back to me.

Can we get a list of which ships have the Freestyle machines? I am looking at Rhapsody right now and not seeing where it would be located, other than maybe in WJ. -
Sailing out of NYC questions vs Florida
D Alt replied to gi333's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
i cruise out of Bayonne NJ and it's not really that bad weather wise. I have sailed from there in May, October and December. October I was on a smaller ship and we went through a storm overnight, so yes we felt it. But as far as seas go, you don't really feel it unless there is some weather system in the area especially on Oasis class ships. August is a good month, the pools should be open. But yes it is usually more money to sail from NJ than FL. if you are leaving during a colder weather month then bundle up. -
It was true when I was on my Xmas cruise in December. If this is now no longer the case, then lobster night is not worth it. They are so small to begin with.
-
The lobster tails on the lobster tail night doesn't cost any extra money. You can order a few of them, but yes the last time I was onboard they were quite small.
-
They are both free on Port days. Cost money on Sea days. IMO the Northstar is worth the $19 on the sea day. Nothing like going in that thing over open water on a moving ship. Trying to reserve a spot may be the difficult part if it is a packed cruise. I believe they come out by 7 pm each night for the next day or you can go to guest services and they can email the sports manager. I had to do this when they canceled my reservation on Day 1. You can book the sea days one before your cruise.

Water spilling into Central Park on Harmony(?)
D Alt replied to PG Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
So where does all this water go to? I mean seems like the drains can only handle so much. Must have been some extensive clean up, some water damage on that deck if it got into the restaurants or shops. -
So does Celebrity have a cruise planner similar to RCL? I haven't booked a cruise with them yet and wondering if I can purchase those extras like internet and shore excursions after i book my cruise.
-
you can definitely cruise without paying for all the extras but at what point does doing that spoil part of the vacation experience. Almost like cutting off your nose to spite your face. I will shave these costs where it makes sense, ie. on smaller ships or itineraries where I've been before, but sometimes I want to enjoy something new.

Where is this on their website? -
I called RCCL and they added Consecutive to my bookings. Thanks all!

I just booked a 3 night cruise to back on to my 4 night Penang cruise. 4 nights was just too low when going to Asia, so I added a B2B of a 3-nighter after that one. I luckily got the same exact room too! So for those who regularly do B2B's I had some questions: 1- Obviously since I didn't book them at the same time, mine shows up separately in the cruise planner, but wondering if those who book these together somehow does it share a number or no? Do they show up as separate reservations in the cruise planner usually? Is there some special B2B designation? 2- Will RCCL and subsequently, the crew, know that I am on a B2B somehow since I did book these at different times? Or do I need to bring it to their attention by calling them up and having them flag it somehow? (for purposes of B2B embark/disembarking) 3- Anything else I need to know or do before these cruises?

Water spilling into Central Park on Harmony(?)
D Alt replied to PG Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
When I was on Oasis, one of the water slides had a small leak coming from it that landed into Central Park. I'd love to say it adds to the ambience but in reality I bet some bolts needed tightening above. -
that's a sneaky little trick, aint it?

After reading all this, I would avoid going to the medical center at all costs. Barring any real emergency, wait til you get home to go to the doctor.
