  1. Thank you. It’s been a horrible 6 months. it’s independence of the seas, 3 nights, we have separate rooms. Because we are 55 days out, the most they would do is offer a change of date, otherwise we loose 75% of the room fee.
  2. We don’t really have a lot of friends. Especially friends who can find childcare for almost a week (we were going to spend a few days in Orlando too). We also lost my 22 year old sister in July. We considered her to be a daughter and she was living with us. There haven’t been many people who are willing to have fun but honor those moments of grief. (We aren’t crying all over the place, I swear. It’s just not comfortable to spend long periods of time with many people right now.)
  3. We invited our best friends to come on a 3 night cruise to celebrate my 40th birthday. We paid for everything. They just had to show up. Now they can’t come, we are 55 days out and no travel insurance. I really don’t even want to go anymore because the whole point was to spend a long weekend with our friends. I realize we stand to lose 75% of our room fee if we outright cancel. Help! We would really use some suggestions.
  4. Early March 2023. And yes, I’m sure they are not sold out. I’d like a south beach cabana and it says there are 5 left at the top of the picture. All excursions for cocoa cay are greyed out. I called last week and customer service said they needed to change stuff in the system because of the Nassau cancelation but our day at cocoa cay hasn’t changed dates.
  5. Our Nassau port day in our 3 night cruise was canceled, making cocoa cay our only stop. I’d like to reserve a cabana but the reservation buttons are greyed for the cabanas. When can I expect them to be turned on again? It’s been about a week. I can see they have some available.
  6. How wonderful that your daughters are so loving and encouraging! Rock those scars. I have a large one that looks like it’s from open heart surgery. I actually needed to have my ribs surgically broken and reshaped but the only precaution I take is using good sunscreen. Scars burn easier. You go live that life you fought for.
  7. I’ve never had a problem on a cruise ship other then walking in heels after sharing a martini sampler with my husband ?. We did run into an interesting situation on a train to Windsor recently though. Thousands of people packed themselves onto the same train as us to get to a rugby match. They were all in costumes and I had to stand, hugging my husband because there was no space. The guys next to us were a friendly bunch though and were trying to finish a shopping bag full of Fosters before their stop.??. We wished them well and were a little jealous. Looked like fun.
