I feel like this is a really stupid question but when I go to royalcaribbeanblog.com, I can't seem to find a search function. I was looking for old cruise compasses which I believe are there but all I see is a list of articles. How do you find specific content? Or even a link to the podcasts or this message board which I have bookmarked. Thanks from the idiot!
**never mind, I get a completely different page with Edge than Chrome, must be a cookie issue.

I'm pretty sure that you pay one way or the other!
If you prepay its added onto your total and paid before you cruise.
If you decide not to prepay then its added onto your onboard account and you are charged at end off cruise.
From my understanding and hopefully someone will correct me if im wrong but your paying the daily gratuities no matter what!
No they are having them removed because they either are cheap or can't afford them.

Well IMHO I don't know how they can just an increase when there has been a definite decrease in staffing, etc. Just received the following via email. We personally have all gratuities removed and chose who deserves tips, etc.
Dear Guest,
We are excited to welcome you onboard for your upcoming Royal Caribbean sailing!
As you prepare to set sail, we wanted to notify you of an update to our daily gratuity charges. As of September 7th, 2022, the automatic daily gratuity charge will increase from $14.50 to $16.00 per guest, per day for non-suite staterooms and from $17.50 to $18.50 per guest, per day for suites. The daily gratuity is shared among dining, bar & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams.
If you’d like to pre-pray your gratuities at the current rate before your sailing, we’re happy to extend this opportunity to you. If you’d prefer to pay onboard, your gratuity charge will be applied to your onboard account at the new rate.
Other onboard gratuity policies remain the same – an 18% gratuity will be automatically added to purchases for beverages, spa & salon services, room service, and mini bar items. These will be itemized on your receipt at the end of each purchase.
To pre-pay your gratuities before your sailing at the current rate, or if you have any questions, please contact your Travel Advisor or contact us at
I think you answered your own question when you said you remove them. That's why the rest of us are having to pay more.

Good morning. My family and I are booked for a Grand Suite on Radiance of the Seas for November 2022. I am having a hard time finding out what the perks truly are with a Suite. It has been 12 years since I last cruised. This will be my 11 year olds first cruise. We picked the Suite for cabin size but several sites have alluded to perks. Any help is appreciated as I feel lost searching so many sites.
Hi, we just booked a GS B2B on Radiance in November so glad to see this. Is Voom included? I don't think so on ships w/o
sky class" but just checking. TIA! -

This "voucher" is on my seapass card? I thought it was an actual paper voucher?
Pre-covid the three drinks were just loaded on the card - I assumed it would be the same but who knows!

So the Diamond Lounge has all but been rendered useless.
I agree. It's a shame.

I asked
Hi, Gretchen. Lounges will operate at limited capacity (50%), first-come basis
Happy Hour is standardized fleetwide, 5-8 PM. Only during the Happy Hour will bar service be offered, where the lounge will be manned by staff. SeaPass card drink redemption can take place in the lounge (no open bar). Packaged food selection will be available at the Diamond Lounge during Happy Hour. -Yami -

Looks like @smokeybandit was right all along.
From the Diamond host to another guest that asked
I'm still not sure I believe it (as in they may change their minds), but I guess this about keeping crowds low in DL.
Maybe I was right too since I said that when I posted it!

Right, but the wording suggests to get a drink during the happy hour you have to use one of your vouchers
Yes, that's what I meant. I guess I wasn't clear!

Just got an email from Royal, I thought I had read Diamond would get five drinks loaded on the card but it's four. And it sounds like during HH in the lounge, you have to use them if you want a drink? Does anyone else read it that way? We used to get a couple in there then use the ones loaded on the card at dinner. Not complaining, just wondering! I do like that they are good anytime, anywhere and for the same drinks that the package gets you.
We’re thrilled to offer you additional beverage vouchers to be used at any bar, at any time or in the Diamond Lounge during the nightly Happy Hour. Each day of the cruise, Diamond members receive four vouchers, Diamond Plus members receive five vouchers, and Pinnacle Club members receive six vouchers. Each voucher is for drinks up to $13. Consider it happy hour all day long!
