  1. Is it possible to buy the Refreshment Package onboard for one or two days only? I don't think it would make sense for me to have a package for the entire sailing since I won't drink that much soda or other drinks. But, it might be nice to have it for a sea day, or Cococay. On cruise planner, you can only buy it for all days, but can you buy it for individual days when you get on the ship, or maybe buy it near the end of the cruise? (I do expect the price to be higher than cruise planner, though)
  2. Royal's website says that the COVID 19 protection program, which includes a refund of the cruise fare if you test positive, is only until December 31. Does that mean cruises booked after December 31 don't have this protection? I can't imagine that they won't extend it since that would mean if you have a cruise after that date, you won't be able to get a refund if you test positive, and they won't cover medical care if you test positive onboard.
  3. Oops didn't read the website correctly
  4. The Royal website says there needs to be at least 28 days between doses. Does this include the day the vaccine was administered? Also, is it really being enforced?
  5. How does the limited capacity work? For example, Symphony of the Seas was already supposed to be sailing Eastern/Western Caribbean sailings this summer, even before they announced the restart plan. Then they announced that Symphony would be part of the restart plan and the sailings that were available to book were Eastern/Western Caribbean sailings. However, there is currently limited capacity onboard Symphony. How did they do this even though the sailings were available to book before the restart plan was announced?
  6. I've never been to Port Everglades and I know that there is a security checkpoint at each entrance of the port. Does this mean anyone entering the port must be there for a cruise? And does this mean that you can't get an uber/lyft from the cruise terminal?
  7. Congrats, you're getting moved to the biggest cruise ship in the world
  8. I guess it really never hurts to ask, because... I CAN'T WAIT! We also upgraded from a Central Park View Balcony to a LARGE Ocean View Balcony. Let me repeat that... LARGE OCEAN VIEW BALCONY. It was somehow cheaper too, and hopefully I can soon say I went on the world's largest cruise ship! Just fingers crossed that it doesn't get cancelled. They didn't charge any ship change fee (not sure why, but I'm cool with that ) and I didn't have to deal with any future cruise credits either. Also, thanks to all of you who helped me out!
  9. I am not past final payment, however I unfortunately have a non-refundable deposit.
  10. Would the deposit be refunded when I get my FCC and apply it to the booking?
  11. We have a cruise booked on Symphony, but the prices for Wonder right now are cheaper (An ocean view is currently cheaper than our central park view on symphony). Also, we want to get on Wonder which of course is a new ship. What would be the best way to move from Symphony to Wonder. I'm currently thinking cancelling for an FCC then rebooking for Wonder but I'm afraid the rates will go up or it will be sold out.
  12. I love Wonder of the Seas, but also kinda hate it. We currently have a cruise booked on Symphony for March 12, 2022. That means we can't say we went on the world's largest cruise ship since Wonder will already be sailing by then
  13. Here's the PDF if anyone needs it: https://www.rclinvestor.com/content/uploads/2019/07/RCL-Shareholder-Onboard-Credit-Offer-Request-Form.pdf
  14. If you want to see the planes, make sure you check the air traffic. There are many air traffic apps that you can download and they might be handy.
  15. It's probably going to be more of a hassle, and cost you more money, to switch ships than to just stay with freedom. To change ships, you would need to pay a ship change fee which I recall is ~$100pp. You could also cancel the cruise for a future cruise credit and rebook, but by the time you get the credit, the offer/discount would probably be gone. And, we all know how frustrating the FCC process is.
  16. The extra charge thing started only recently so you'll be our "guinea pig"
  17. Before covid, the rooms were ready at 1:00 PM. Since your boarding time is 1:30 they'll probably be ready when you board. It might be before 1:00 due to reduced capacity but I'm not sure.
  18. The Whirlpools are not actually part of the solarium which means you can take your kid there. It's located right next to the entrance of the solarium, but it isn't inside of it. I'm not sure what you mean by Sun Garden, but, if you are referring to the area at the very front of the ship, then that is part of the solarium. Before the amplification, it was a separate area, but during the amp, they added staterooms there and moved the area one deck higher, which is the solarium.
  19. Also no. They can't be transferred and must be used by the person who's name is on the FCC. However, you can sort of use someone else's FCC if they are in the same booking, but that's essentially just paying for their share of the cruise fare.
  20. Unfortunately, FCCs are only for booking cruises and cannot be used as onboard credit (ex. cruise planner purchases)
  21. We used the best price guarantee last year, but that was before our final payment. It went extremely smoothly and they were able to verify the lower price, then simply change the final payment amount. However, in your situation your cruise is already passed final payment, I'm not sure how the onboard credit thing works. It's definitely a good idea to call them again and explain that your cruise is very soon.
  22. Regarding this, if we are driving to the cruise port and will have our car parked in a parking garage for the duration of the cruise, how would we get our car in the event that we need to fly home on a private charter?
