Alaska, -Vancouver-airlines? NY or other airport?
smokeybandit replied to Pattycruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I would try to fly into Vancouver. I assume you're looking at Delta which means you may have a flight that could connect in Detroit or Minneapolis. -
"Wifi and the costs" just sounds like the name of some modern rock/pop band.

Family use of the app
smokeybandit replied to NC Grateful Dead Dad's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We did this last week for my son who isn't old enough for his own account yet. It's not ideal due to the notification issue (though I admit I got a lot of notifications this cruise, albeit not necessarily timely), but it served its purpose for keeping tabs on each other. -

The laundry perk is great. You can pack a couple day's less stuff as a result

There is nothing different for checking in and selecting a time. Just whatever time you do select, you can show up an hour earlier than that slot.

smokeybandit replied to CruiseMsclDad's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
There really is no right answer. It varies so much for a particular ship and sailing -

Seems like you just invented a whole new time reference system -
Sufficient is very subjective. Depends how heavily you pack

Royal Up bidding process is different
smokeybandit replied to Sailor Dee's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Not in my experience. It's probably a ship by ship thing -
You don't need a raised seal anymore. Just an official copy

I had my first taste of usa menu last night. Quite disappointed in the honey fried chicken. I was expecting it to be like the night 1 fried chicken. But it was more of a bland beer battered coating. The Buffalo chicken dip was good, even if not with cream cheese like a typical American version. The lobster Mac was better than expected. They were even able to do it gluten free for my wife

Booking cruises on the app
smokeybandit replied to ScottishRobbie's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It just takes you to an embedded browser view of the web site. But it's something the app needs, albeit quite buried -
Are kids required to eat off the kids menu?
smokeybandit replied to SailAwayVacay79's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
People next to us on adventure right now are averaging about 3.5 appetizers and 2.5 entrees per night. All served one at a time
