  1. My first Transatlantic is on Odyssey from Bayonne next April/May. Looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the company of our little group of friends. I like how losing the hours gets spread out over the entire cruise which I’m assuming will mean once we end up in Rome we will feel refreshed enough to enjoy another 5-6 days exploring Italy before flying home!
  2. @FionaMG you are so right! It’s such a process! My MEI TA gives me quotes fairly quickly and his refundable price IS always cheaper than his non refundable one! His prices seem to always beat the price I am finding on the Royal website too!
  3. How’s the crossing going? I’m looking for weather info and what everyone does all day long…preparing for my first TA next year from Bayonne on Odyssey. Anyone care to shoot a little advice my way? Thanks!
  4. Our cruising friends always bring ducks…no tags. Whenever they leave their room they take a few with them and if they see a small child…sometimes crying, sometimes not…they get permission from the parent to make sure it’s ok to give the child/ren the duck/s. So awesome to see the faces light up!
  5. Staying our first night at the Embassy Suites Phoenix/Scottsdale. Doing a hot air balloon ride over the Sonoran Desert early the next morning and then taking our time while heading all the way to Flagstaff. I figure we’ll stop in Sedona along the way and possibly Arcosanti. I visited there many years ago when my best friend lived in Phoenix. Since then she moved to Nevada and is now in Tucson! My granddaughter is a few months shy of 14 and super excited for this trip! We’ve got a full day tour booked for the Grand Canyon too! Thanks for any recommendations!
  6. So many medical emergencies lately! What is going on? Hoping all the emergencies recover quickly!
  7. Where is this restaurant and the name? I will be in Phoenix mid June with my granddaughter and will be looking for someplace good to eat at. After Phoenix we will be in Flagstaff for 3 days so looking for places there as well! Your itinerary sounds awesome. Looking forward to following along!
  8. So…the connecting door can’t stay open? Is there a reason why? I was hoping it would since I will be in Symphony in a few weeks with my daughter and her 2 sons…I have my older grandson with me. I was thinking I could go out early in the morning for my walk and have the connecting door open. No?
  9. Thanks for this post @Leroyr55. I am doing an 8 night on her as soon as she arrives in Bayonne…in just 16 days and 12hours. Getting pretty excited as the days go by.
  10. Same with me! Wish I knew why! There was a time when I could find GIFs anytime and now Nothing!
  11. It’s available on my September cruise date. $34.99/pp/day
  12. How has the weather been since leaving Florida? Warm enough for poolside sunning? I am enjoying this post and look forward to your upcoming port stops! Very sorry about this new medical emergency!
  13. I’ve been on just a few classes of Royal ships and enjoyed each one for their unique style. Have truly never experienced feeling overcrowdedness (?) on any…so far. Perhaps the other cruise lines do not quite match what Royal has achieved? Since the OP mentioned Mardi Gras…I look forward to seeing it for myself as it’s going to be one of 2 larger ships for me in September! I am definitely partial to Royal! I do hope @RCVoyager will give Royal another chance by taking the advice of the above comments!
  14. As time gets closer I would think the cruise planner will add the Kennedy Space Center as an excursion. The price on my cruise planner is $149/pp ($10 less for young children) which includes: 30 minute bus ride to the center (and back to port), entry to most attractions, 5 hours for the touring, meet with an astronaut, some hands on fun, time on your own to explore, etc.
  15. So with our excursion lunch is included…thankfully! Otherwise, perhaps we will bring a few bottles of water from the ship? And a few snacks? Thanks for letting us know the facility is decent! Was it crowded at all?
  16. Ooo I cannot see the video! . I can just imagine the ‘Tango Look’ though!
  17. We did the Crystal Caves excursion and loved it! On our second day…we took the city bus to Horseshoe Beach…another great time!
  18. Glad you started this topic! Not sure why I was waiting to send my own request but your post reminded me that I needed to do so…which I also did today! Already got my reply that they are working on it
  19. It’s perfect time to send that email to the dining room! Be sure to include ship name, date of cruise, and reservation number on the subject line. Email [email protected]
  20. Oh my gosh awesome pictures Raye! Gave me the best chuckle especially the pics of you and Dan hosting the “birdies”! Oh and that scuba reflective one is !
