  1. That’s a lot. Bayonne is upon check in and then when exiting the terminal to get to the escalator/elevator to the ship.I hate the set sail on the phone but gave up printing it.
  2. If you log into the website, select your cruise, plan my cruise, you’ll see the 3 lines on the top left, click on that snd your OBC shows at the bottom of the list. It does not delineate who gave it to you.
  3. If booked with Royal Directly contact them. If you used a travel agent, call them. be aware that the cost of the cabin may have gone up and your daughter will not get your rate. I’d do a mock booking snd see how much it costs to add her to a cheap cabin as a solo as opposed to repricing your cabin (mock book that) at the prevailing rate. If it’s cheaper to book her as a solo (if possible-she needs to be of age and if not if she sh needs to be adjacent or directly across from your cabin) then book her solo. You’d both get double crown and anchor points if booked solo.
  4. If you do not see the card invite in your cabin go to the loyalty ambassador and make an inquiry. That’s how I learned it’s not offered on a 4 night cruise. I was on the same ship 2 weeks later for a 9 night and no invite. I went to the loyalty ambassador and made an inquiry, the lunch would be day 9 and I’d get an invite another day. That was odd as I’ve always found my invite, along with the Top tier event invite, in my cabin on day 1. also be sure to pick your gifts and follow up. On my last sailing I had my fruit platter/cheese but no wine (supposed to have wine) and I never received my tote bag. I addressed the wine on day 1 and it was delivered the next day. On day 8 I asked about my tote and she said it should have been delivered earlier in the week, so she had that taken care of.
  5. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/dos-and-donts-of-royal-caribbean-cococay I do not see a “cove beach” listed is that the name of the area that looks like a bay/kiddie area? personally I prefer Chill beach.at the end of the pier you have 3 choices- 1-turn left turn left and cross over the bridge 2- go straight and enter the water park (tickets required) 3- go right snd there you will find the free tram that you can use to take you to South beach, Oasis lagoon (pool), and Chill beach as well as the beach club (ticket required). I do #1 and walk over the bridge then turn left into the straw market, walk straight towards the water and turn right snd continue walking for a bit longer. Once I see the chill grill on the right (and the tram station) I grab a chair. There is a bar on the beach, there’s a “silver trailer/camper” that’s a bar too-most people don’t seem to know that as there’s rarely a line. Slightly past that beach is the bathroom snd a little further along is the snack shack which has their infamous chicken sand which, mozzarella sticks, fried dough and more. Also located by the tram area is chill grill with standard BBQ fare and a taco bar. I’ll typically tram back as it gets hotter during the day which brings out my “lazy”. I don’t think there are trails to walk. I see people walk along the tram road and those trams kick up quite a bit of dust. I’m sure you can find maps if you google. The ship will also have a map of the island. The floating bar was not at chill beach last month, I imagine it is still located at South beach. It does not hold a lot of people.
  6. No. look at Oasis 7 day menu. It will be the same as that. If you are sailing on a longer cruise they’ll add another menu.
  7. You could Uber to a breakfast place in the area and then Uber back to catch your shuttle
  8. No you cannot book a second cabin. You need someone booked in that cabin, each person can only be on one reservation.
  9. So you’ve not tried the menu and are already mad? I sailed Radiance in April, the food was very good, way better than the larger ships. I’m currently on Liberty and can say the same. I’ve griped about chicken parm and chicken Marsala on the larger ships. Both were perfect this week on Liberty, so good that if I were inclined I’d have asked for seconds!
  10. As a city girl I’d never leave my luggage in the car overnight, even if it were out of sight in the trunk.
  11. As with any major city watch for pickpockets. Actually don’t watch for them, you’d never see them, instead keep your hand on your purse and wallets in the front pocket, make it difficult for them.
  12. That occurred on Oasis last May. I don’t use butter but my table mates were disappointed in the pats of butter saying it didn’t taste right. I imagine it may have been an unsalted butter but I have no idea. My concern was the one night I chose to have bread I could have knocked someone out with it.
  13. I flew into IAH and stayed at a hotel that offered an airport shuttle. Shuttled back to the airport the morning of the cruise and took the Royal Caribbean shuttle (able to book that by telling Royal I was flying in the day of the cruise). Royal shuttle did not leave at 9:30 as I was told-they did not have enough people so we had to wait til almost 12 to leave the airport., which was disappointing. My upcoming cruise I booked Galveston Express to take us to the port, I’m hopeful they will leave from the airport on time.
  14. I could not find the post with this discussion but thought it had been “settled” that Diamond vouchers were valid on disembarking day. on my May 23 Liberty sailing I was told “it’s a new policy that the Diamond vouchers cannot be used on disembarkation day”. When I ordered my iced coffee at cafe promenade. I questioned this because I had just done this on my May 7 Oasis sailing. He, gave me the coffee-did my tip$ showing help? im back on Liberty and inquired of this new policy. They reached out to the beverage head who stated something to the effect that we cannot use the voucher on the last day and coffee is provided in the lounges on the last day. Additionally something to the effect they are awaiting clarification on this policy but as it stands this went into effect on March 10 this year. I’ve not experienced this new policy in April or May on other ships. does anyone have info on this? It is not in writing, as the C&A ambassador tried looking.
  15. Depends on length of sailing. 4 day cruise no. I don’t recall 5 day, 6 day. 7 day or longer yes.
  16. I’m currently on Liberty and the one lady at our table is gluten free. They bring her her own plate of gluten free bread and she has enjoyed a gluten free dessert every night. They look pretty amazing.
  17. I can understand your concern. Royal was put through the wringer during Covid. They need to pay back massive loans, and when you add in the cost of inflation it’s a recipe for disaster if they didn’t cut corners. Overall demand for sailing is up. Yes, the regular Royal patron will notice the difference and may even vote with their feet but that’s not the current case. The alternative was to keep spending as was and go deeper into debt, then what? I’ve been fortunate to sail almost monthly since the restart. Sadly the food isn’t always up to par,. I was on Symphony during its transatlantic and had plenty of lousy meals. However I’ve been on other ships and most meals have been good, with some exceptions., and I’m glad I’m not saying most meals have been bad, with some exceptions! Perhaps give a different ship a try. The smaller ships seem to have better quality/consistency of food.
  18. I’m on Liberty 9 night out of NJ. No cheese plate on the menu.
  19. Do those comp offers allow you to enter a next cruise reservation # if you had one?
  20. I’ve read if people boarding with a pic of their birth certificate. I believe this just happened on my current cruise. Someone got to port without their birth certificate and had someone send a copy to them via phone. Not something I’d want to try though
  21. Symphony shows would be different. When the entertainment opens to book be ready to book : Hairspray, -Hiro(aqua show), ice show and the comedy club
  22. Thankfully you have travel insurance! this is a fan page, not an official RC page. Personally I doubt they will do a switch, but you won’t know until you ask. Maybe email the CEO? [email protected] and plead your case. Include reservation #, ship and sail date as well as desired replacement, it can’t hurt.
  23. Yes, you can book for 2, you both pay port fees and taxes as well as gratuities. if you hit prime level there’s a good chance you will have other free cruise offers in your Club Royale account. check www.club Royale offers.com
