  1. We cruised out of Miami and flew out of Miami back in April. We were on freedom of the Seas. We walked off of the ship carrying our own luggage, there was absolutely no line to get out of the terminal at all and we walked outside to numerous shuttles available to get on. We had nothing booked ourselves. We just hopped on a shuttle and we were the last two people to catch it and They love to immediately with us.
  2. I get what you are saying but if that's the room you have, why would you bid on something else? That would be like having a junior suite and bidding on an Oceanview cabin.
  3. I hate to say this but it seems like the app doesn't work more times than it does.
  4. We were on Freedom in April and the MDR menu in the app they showed pre-cruise was exactly what was offered on the cruise. We are doing Serenade in February and the menu is already up and I hope it changes because honestly, a few days would be a struggle for me to order something.
  5. As others have said, we've never had to sign for our drinks when we have the drink package on RCL.
  6. I live in Ohio. It's an under 3 hour flight to get to Florida from Cleveland. With the exception of 1 cruise, we have always flown in the morning of the cruise. We make sure it's a direct flight and that it's very early morning. The one time we flew to Tampa the evening before, it was a complete nightmare. We were delayed, then bad weather caused us to have to take a longer route to get around the storm, then there was a medical emergency. By the time we got to Tampa at midnight, I was very irritated and stressed. LOL We are cruising in February and we are flying in the day before because you never know how February will be in Cleveland. I also buy trip insurance and I'm well aware one day we are probably going to get dinged flying in the morning of. I've seen on the news that Delta is being sued over the delays and cancellations because of the crowd strike mess. One person in particular is complaining about missing his cruise and losing 10 grand. Should have bought insurance.
  7. We were on Freedom a couple of weeks ago. The lifeguards were very attentive to what the kids were doing and not allowing them to dive, splash, etc. I did not realize that they were looking for in the pool when they did that check. I thought they were checking for bodies. We typically cruise smaller ships and go during times when kids should be in school. I'm not intolerant of kids. I'm intolerant of parents who bring their kids on a cruise and don't watch them. Many kids I see roaming the ship by themselves shouldn't be but the parents are on vacation and don't want to deal with their kids. And they all claim their kids are good and would never cause problems. We did see a lot of kids in the hot tub by the main pool. Again, not sure why. I wouldn't even go in that bacteria bath let alone allow my child to.
  8. I was on Freedom last week. Our package went 35% off on national margarita day. I had purchased it at 30% off prior. I cancelled and repurchased and saved around 60.00. It was 25% off on the ship.
  9. Our first cruise in 2017 was on Empress. To date it was my favorite cruise. I shed a tear when they took her out of the fleet. Had I read the reviews prior, we wouldn't have gone because they were not good. The guests were a blast, the staff was amazing and the cruise director, Elvis and the activities director, Flavio, were the best I've ever had. I'm not sure what happened to Elvis but it's my understanding Flavio moved on to a larger ship.
  10. We used GoPort last April and had zero issues.
  11. I checked in for my 4/29 cruise on 3/15. I got up at midnight to do the check-in and there were problems for about 10 minutes. It wouldn't let me skip over anything though to go back later and fill it in. Luckily I was able to get the time I wanted. Now I noticed for the last few days my C&A points are missing. It says I have 0 points and am pre-gold.
  12. I literally just took my photo for checkin. It gave me no indication that the photo was accepted. My options were to continue or retake the photo.
  13. Will be on Indy at the end of April. Any idea who CD director will be? My very first cruise was on Empress in 2017 I believe and Elvis was the CD and Flavio was the activities director. We had an absolute blast with them. They were hilarious.
