  1. We ate at Palle Carrette and they had an egg pizza and a potato one. Prices was pretty good as I think it was around 35 Euros for my party of 4. The Pantheon was my brother's favorite site. I am so glad you get to cross all of these things off your bucket list. Does your cruise go to Israel or Egypt?
  2. Only if it is purchasable. There have been ongoing glitches that might say $198. But you can't purchase it. So they will not honor that price because it's a glitch. If it is sold out, they will more than likely not offer a discounted price.
  3. Unfortunately regardless of the severity of the sex crime, they have offender status. Given Royal just arrested someone, who didn't have sex offender status, because they were recording in the bathroom, I would imagine they are pretty strict. Some people being denied boarding because of DUIs and such is a little extreme but I stand by their policy. I mean the truth is you can book a lot of stuff and they don't flag them right away.
  4. Have a wonderful time. I did Italy as a family trip in 2017, we stayed in an aparthotel in Rome because we thought having a cooking and dining area would be great for a long trip. After all the sightseeing, the last thing we wanted was to cook but having the extra space was amazing. My grandmother made us eat McDonald's in Rome because she was homesick, it was the only fast food meal we had. I have to say I am not a fan of Quantum class but I belive it's a good ship for longer sailings.
  5. Most of the libraries have become sort of card/ game rooms and the books are few and far in-between.
  6. Keep in mind that many of the drivers know you have luggage so trunks should be empty. I say regular fits 2-3 with luggage but they sometimes lie about the XL options. A couple of years ago we were 5, we did the XL for 6 pax, and they sent us a one that held 5. They said the driver accepted the ride but was driving his smaller truck, it was a hassle. But with two people and possibly 4 bags, the standard will be fine.
  7. OMG fornicating seagulls???? The seagulls at PDCC are some bold and spicy birds. They steal food like crazy and behave like sociopaths with just a touch of food. I still think the Beach Club is not worth any amount of money. But enjoy your relaxing time away from the masses.
  8. The Premier pass was taken down less than a week after the glitch and those of us who purchased it were made more than whole.
  9. @Pooch Did your brother piss off a witch or the plane Gods??? I feel like he has no luck when it comes to flights before cruises. Hopefully it doesn't transition over to you.
  10. Nothing. I check the CP every other day or so and the sales are.......meh. Royal is having the same sale all the time now, because of supply and demand. People are paying higher prices; in fact, some people are paying full onboard prices when they board. So, the "sales" aren't nearly what they used to be. But also keep in mind, everyone has different definitions of a sale, and each sailing and itinerary is unique.
  11. I want to amend my post as it seems like the OP has a 5N sailing, which means it is the UDP and the CP is wording it funny. I would like to know what is the price for the 5N dining package for your Bermuda sailing? If it is close to $200 then it is probably the UDP, hence why it has all the information pertaining to it.
  12. The thing is that 5N packages aren't the norm. 7N sailings are the most popular, they only offer the 5N dining package on sailing at 8/9 nights or more. I think this is why the information is off. For example the 3N is offered on my upcoming sailing and this is what it says. If the 5N was more prevalent, it would read the same. Instead, it looks as though the boilerplate for the UDP is listed.
  13. This is standard boilerplate but, in your overview, the description mentioned the UDP and not a 5N.
  14. @asquared17 in regard to the soreness and stuff. I think about physical therapy. You let it do an appropriate amount of healing and then you work it, so it does not atrophy. I remember failing off the ramp at PDCC on one of my sailings and I jumped up so fast after embarrassment and went on. I did all my usual walking around and it wasn't until much later that I noticed the actual pain and bruises. But I definitely knew had I not walked a bit, it would have been worse. That sun halo is great. We have a ton of sun in Chicago right now, but it has been less than 50 degrees so that brightness is all lies!!!! Lucky for me I am packing and heading out Saturday to Palm Springs. In fast food tangent, BK is the worst, their fries taste like cardboard. When Wendy's changed theirs, I was like you might beat McD's but they aren't consistent across the locations. Even without the original frying ingredients, McD's fries are consistent no matter where you are. That's also my issue with the WJ fries, they differ in cuts, saltiness and cooking so much they disappointed me on many occasions. I hate when the last day of cruise is in sight, even if the cruise hasn't been the best.
  15. I am always trying to be sold Chef's table and I always tell them I don't eat seafood and they back away. But that soup does look amazing. Also wow at the Flowrider messing up a pedicure. I get a regular pedicure and it last about 3wks, gel last longer than I want...... that is crazy. Ooooooh I forgot that Allure has one of the nicer DL, I am excited for it in Oct. Did you play in the new smoke free casino?
  16. Typically, I do the UDP, so for larger ships (Oasis and Quantum class usually have more specialty restaurants) I cannot say whether the MDR is bad. However, I have done Freedom and Voyager class and the MDR food was pretty good. The worst dining experience I had was on Grandeur in Jan of this year. It was the first week of the new menu. The quality was bad, the portions were small and most of the items were prepared incorrectly. The service was also lackluster. The review of the MDR on the Symphony sailing seem to have to do with that particular sailing as it was transatlantic. I believe it was a lot of transitioning crew members as well. So, I would say do not go into any sailing expecting the worst; lots of things are subjective.
  17. Okay I know all of you are fancy health nuts but I am a potato person and Mcdonalds fries are like a once-a-month thing for me. I am indifferent to the rest of the foods, I had the pancakes as a teenager and get it, but the fries man!!!!! Also you will be sore but the more you use said sore limbs, the fast you will get right. Now I don't mean crazy overuse, but standard movements. I fell on my dominate hand and it is still sometimes sore over a week later, but I need to type, write and clicky clack on my devices. Thanks for the hack in regard to the water. Since I am prime on top of being D+ I don't often use all of my vouchers. Now I can. Wait I also just realized this was a Saturday-to-Saturday cruise, I was like why is she saying tomorrow is the last day????
  18. I am always afraid of the Flowrider, every time I sit and watch it is mostly wipeouts, so kudos to you all for being brave.
  19. I cruise solo a lot; I take my kindle and enjoy my meal. You could try takeout, but you would still need to make a reservation, and your server would have to put a cloche over your plate in order to take it to go. Considering they often don't put everything on one plate, you would be carrying a lot of hot ceramic plates to your destination. Most big ships don't have to-go containers, so I would imagine that a smaller ship like Vision wouldn't have the option at all.
  20. I know @Xaa answer most of your question but as a person who normally goes solo and pretty much gets the UDP all the time I will share a few things. I have it booked on most of my sailings including a Jan 2024 Wonder sailing that had the same glitch you have experienced. The $20 credit is per day, per person per venue. So, you could do JR for lunch and then Playmakers for a snack while having Izumi ($35 credit) as your actual dinner. On Oasis in Jan they kept a log of cabins with the UDP, and they would check you off to make sure you only visit that venue once per day. They will place you at a table for two. But I would definitely try to get the other package asap, when it is sold out, I have never seen it offered onboard. It can be a lot of food but on a 7N cruise, and a ship like Wonder, you will have a lot of options and enjoy the respite of a much calmer dining experience. I normally like to dine at 8:15 or later so I have never had an issue getting a reservation, if you are set on 6-ish to 7:30 be prepared to make some hard choices.
  21. Takeout isn't a thing in actuality on cruise ships as most places do not have containers to go. They will put a cloche over the plate, but you will still need to make a reservation and then sit down and ask your server to make all your food "to go."
  22. I have had Freedom's room service wings and they were the same as Harmony, and Allure's....and Indy. Maybe you got a bad batch but all my room service wings were good. But to answer your question the times I had them on Harmony they were great.
