  1. Also keep in mind not all rooms will be eligible for bids. Nor will all rooms be available. Good luck!
  2. Unless they have some pre-cruise purchase options yes.
  3. Most master baths in suites will have the shower/tub combo but if they have two bathrooms, then it's a possibility one will just be the shower.
  4. The CCL clientele is a whole other beast lol, most seem to be the type of people who will have a conversation on speaker phone out in public. I have seen plenty of people walking and using their phone speakers to play music and such. It was very annoying when I was in Key West on the HoHo bus last month. At PDCC lots of people bring their own speakers and play what they want. As long as they are respectful, they rarely are, it wouldn't be an issue.
  5. No room service on disembarkation day. WJ is a mess and the MDR is hit or miss. The Key gets you a leisurely breakfast in the MTD space.
  6. Not a theoretical physicist but I feel like the actual time on the cruise is shorter than the days you wait to lead up to them.
  7. So I'm going to be honest. I love the VB rooms but they aren't that big. They feel smaller than a regular interior because of the massive sceen. I sail solo so they are perfect for me, they give illusion of balcony but I don't have to worry about the AC going off. The feed shows the outside so it's very cool, I would randomly think birds were flying towards me. But once the sun sets you lose the luster. I would book it regardless because I hate OV rooms and low decks in general, so I'm bias.
  8. It does suck but lots of people are to blame, lol. People who pay $75k for a family room for 7 nights drive up the cost. I cruised a lot last year because the casino comps and prices were amazing. Now anything I look at is at least double what I was paying before and after covid......but it's true for everything. Cruising still provides an amazing value but I will have to do it less considering I don't live near a port.
  9. You can bring 12pack of soda or water per room with the 2 bottles of wine per room as well. You aren't allowed to share drink packages, hence the need for everyone over 21 to buy a deluxe package.
  10. I'm gonna try this. I will wear a mask to avoid sinus issues with smoke but the clothes are an issue.
  11. If I could find a way I would do it myself. I put up with the smoke to earn my free-ish cruises.
  12. I would not bank on the price going lower between now and August. I think like all things prices will continue to increase especially for summer sailings. You want an occasional wine so maybe you should get the refreshment package and pay a la carte for your wine.
  13. Also keep in mind that Allure hasn't been amped, so she has a lot less than the other Oasis ships.
  14. Yes that is not an enchilada lol, I was like it's a burrito but I can see chimichanga as well. It's probably the only thing I actually loved on the new menus beside the warm cookie and yes most desserts are tasteless.
  15. No it's lined but it's not the same as insulation in yeti or other cups.
  16. Not to hijack but @Lovetocruise2002 I don't think you can do 9 nights in MDR. Might want to use your D+ bogo. You do sky/star class a lot. I've done each once and never felt the same about the MDR and WJ after. Even if food temps and service are great, I feel like you still might be a bit dissatisfied on certain nights. After 4 nights on a 5 night cruise I was over the MDR. Granted it was the first cruise with the new menus and I cut the crew slack. It was the menu offerings. I have a 4 night Liberty and 5 night Mariner......using my D+ bogo to break up the MDR.
  17. I have met some wonderful pins, gave lots of helpful advice. But it's always the one or two that aren't nice that seems to stick with you when you go to the SL or DL. I look at least a decade younger than I am, which is why when they say things or stare I assume it's because they think I'm in my twenties. I think even without double points I would have made diamond in same time frame because of casino comps. Now going from 4pts in Oct 2022 to 186pt in Oct 2023 might not have been possible without them. But I put in the work and deserve to be there and enjoy it.
  18. I also want to say I met a solo D+ woman in the DL on my Grandeur sailing last month and she said she has been dealing with racist D+ and pinnacles since she joined the lounge, and she is at 305pts. She told me that's why I get all the stares and inquiries, I always assumed it was because I was so young. I wanted to believe she was just one of those that can't see they might be an A*hole and it has nothing to do with her skin color. But then one went on a rant about how there is so many black people cruising now and proved her point. On Oasis my brother and his young, ethnic self went several times a day to get coffee.......he was always accosted by someone and their cruise stories.
  19. While the person you are quoting is technically true in their assessment. You will have all the options available to you. They only allow so many reservations to be booked beforehand. You will be able to book the shows when you board. If you have never sailed on RC, you cannot say the food quality is downgraded: I have sailed enough to say it is not what it used to be but that is a combination of food inventory and new staff.
  20. It is true that one pinnacle or D+ close to pinnacle will loudly proclaim and complain. But I don't let them ruin my DL experience. I hate to say it, but this has been mine and my brothers experience as well. I have been asked HOW I became Diamond, told it must be nice to get it from my parents, and then just flat out asked if I was using someone else's seapass........not to mention I am often stared at by others. I am polite and ignore most of it as it is my right to enjoy the lounge as such.
  21. No, you will not benefit from her Dimond perks. Room selection is not a D perk, she would possibly get a discount and you would benefit from that.
  22. I love Aqua80 and in your suite you can see it as many times as you want. Your suite also will make a good spot for prime people watching. I don't have no rhythm so I either chair dance or have to be tipsy to try, but I am always dancing excitedly for a cruise.
  23. Yes, because you still pay taxes and fees and, in my case, I prepay gratuity. Plus, your C&A number is your Casino Royale account number.
  24. As @WAAAYTOOO said the commission sucks for a TA with most casino offers. If it is money off, I will still transfer to my TA but otherwise I think it is much better to keep a comped cruise in my hands. The casino CSR are actually not that bad, I rarely have to hold, and they can be helpful.
