  1. According to the description in the CP... approximately 30 minutes in total... only 60 seconds of which is actual "ride" time...
  2. Looks good! I tried that at the Schooner Bar on Wonder... I loved the PB&J Old Fashioned from the Mason Jar on Wonder... did you notice if any of the bars offered the PB&J? My gut is that it's a MJ exclusive.
  3. For the record... me neither ... but maybe a little jealous of the attention he gets from my wife. LOL! See... I'm not kidding...
  4. I believe it will default to the current TA in their system (or to Royal if no TA was utilized on the current sailing). I also recall the telephone number they list on the Book Later reservation e-mail is the telephone number they have on file for your TA. Here is a screenshot of one of our Book Later reservation e-mail attachments:
  5. Fully agree! Sale % off is absolutely meaningless. The underlying "full" price of most items can change up to your sail date. Also, BOGO pricing is a little deceptive... a BOGO 50% sale is effectively only 25% off for two packages. As an example, the BOGO 50% sale for our last 2 sailings on Wonder and our upcoming Icon sailing for the DBP was $72.99... Just recently they had a 35% off sale for National Margarita Day and the price was $67.99. We cancelled and re-purchased at that price. Today, "Royal math" calculates BOGO 50% at $77.99 (not the usual $72.99 BOGO 50% pricing)... lol! As most would suggest, purchase when you are comfortable with the DBP price and cancel/re-purchase if the price goes down. As mentioned, you can pretend to purchase the DBP during a sale to get the current pricing to help make the decision.
  6. We've purchased 3 or 4 using the app last year for us and for family/friends between the two sailings. You will get a confirmation e-mail with the reservation number, etc. As mentioned above, you add the other names once you actually book a sailing using the NextCruise Book Later reservation number. Same guidelines... book within 60 days to keep the OBC and book within one year or you lose the $200 deposit as well (from the actual Book Later purchase date). Side note: we didn't book our 2025 cruise until 10 months or so after we purchased the Book Later reservation we used and they still gave us the OBC (YMMV). If you purchase for family or friends, make sure they call rather promptly to update to one of their names on the Book Later reservation (and change the TA if applicable... I think you only have 30 days to change/update the TA). Otherwise, you may be booking a surprise cruise for you and your family down the road!
  7. Enjoy the cruise!!! Don't worry, sail away will be here before you know it!
  8. Wow! That was really nice that they offered this with Capt. Theo! I just started collecting the models last year (Wonder). My wife was horrified when she heard that Capt. Henrik (Loy) was on vacation! She, as well as our friend, refer to him as "Capt. Hottie"! Capt. Henrik was our captain on Explorer (2013) and again on Wonder (JAN last year)... According to my wife, we have to track down Capt. Henrik, Rover, and Chris Wong during our May sailing!
  9. This is what I found just now... Here's a blog article by Matt from last year that goes into more detail: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/01/11/should-you-book-your-next-cruise-while-onboard
  10. Just an FYI if anyone wanted to book Crown's Edge... on sale now. I'm going for it at that price, but my wife wants no part of this!
  11. Bingo! I don't mind at all being the planner/organizer of the group (usually enjoy it), but it's just nice to not have to compromise at times and focus on just the two of us every now and then!
  12. Oooo! Thank you so much for sharing your experience of this tour. We too decided to go with Native Choice and the Chacchoben Extreme tour this May as we heard mostly great reviews so far! It's also less than half the price of the Royal sponsored identical excursion!
  13. Enjoy your time alone together! We don't have children, but we know that feeling as we usually travel with family and/or friends and we really do enjoy the occasional cruise for just the two of us! Our May sailing will be just my wife and I as well! No coordinating or planning for a larger group as that responsibility usually falls on me!
  14. Yes, apparently today only... National Margarita Day... Cancelled and repurchased... here's to praying RC doesn't screw up the refund process and return the funds from my cruise fare account which is paid off!
  15. Just checked! Dropped to $67.99... has not dropped below $72.99 until today... We're on Icon this May (5/11/24 sailing)...
  16. Agree that the ambience is best at 150 CP... much more intimate! Loved the chairs next to the windows in Central Park! Not listed and just as an FYI... Chef's Table is IMO is the nicest/fanciest dining experience (excluding Empire Supper Club on Icon), but it is not intimate as you will be seated with a group of strangers at a large table.
  17. We noticed the same... the first couple of times at PDCC we heard that song walking to the entrance, but last OCT we never heard it broadcast our entire time on the island. I love the song too... gets you in that chill vacation mood!
  18. That's true! Maybe they'll add a Portside BBQ in addition to a Playmaker's to mirror Oasis... we'll see...
  19. Just my opinion, but I'm assuming they will continue to show the current deck plans until they actually commit to (or make public) any upcoming changes. I'd be extremely surprised if they did not add Playmaker's at a minimum for consistency and due it's huge popularity.
  20. For us, it was neat the first couple of times we went down the slide, but like the Bionic Bar, the novelty eventually wears off. My gut tells me they will still put it on Allure since all of the other Oasis class ships (Wonder and Utopia included) have the Ultimate Abyss. They may tweak it, but my guess is that a dry slide will be added. Unless Oasis 7 is dropping the slide, I'd expect it to be there for consistency. We're booked for May 2025, so of course we're hoping for a significant amplification at least to the level of Oasis. I'm sure they will integrate new ideas (learned from recent Oasis and Icon class ships per Jason Liberty's recent comment) and can't wait to see what those changes will encompass! I bet new dining options/experiences like Utopia, Playmaker's, etc., at a minimum.
  21. I think they do (Oasis)... Funny, I did not take too many pictures of the Royal Promenade on that sailing. However, when we sailed in OCT 2021, the Starbuck's "basic" or limited menu was not available in the Cafe Promenade. I just watched a recent video of Allure last evening and they have added the Starbuck's menu (and they definitely have the kiosk), so possibly Oasis has added the limited menu as well (printed menu board not TV monitor). Main point is that you cannot use a beverage package at the branded kiosks (only charge to ship account or SB gift cards accepted), but you can use it in the Cafe Promenade for Starbuck's products on the ships that offer the limited menu. We rarely stop for Starbucks at home, but we do take advantage while onboard.
  22. Hi @CoffeeNoodle! We've sailed both recently (Oasis in late 2021 and Wonder twice last year) and absolutely loved both. I agree with all of the comments above. A couple of other very minor differences... Wonder has a "regular" Starbuck's full kiosk in the middle of the Royal Promenade too, but they also offer a basic Starbuck's menu (coffee/tea/cappuccino/Frappuccino, etc.) in the Cafe Promenade which is included in the beverage packages. My wife and I normally do not go to Starbuck's at home, but of course we took full advantage of our DBP on both sailings! Oasis has a real Escape room (Apollo 18), unlike Wonder which offers a lame puzzle break exercise in one of the rooms in Adventure Ocean (we booked it and immediately cancelled once we realized). Naturally, Wonder is completely new throughout. Oasis was amplified, but only the common areas really received an overhaul. The majority of the cabins have the same original decor/furniture which is somewhat dated and still slightly worn. They did repair/replace damaged carpet/furniture, etc. throughout, but it is dated. They did add additional cabins, but I believe they are suites in the forward of the ship below the bridge. We too love the midship Oceanview balconies on Deck 8! No cabins across the hall (back of the restaurants and shops in CP) and on the same deck as Central Park! Enjoyed one on that Oasis sailing in 2021 and booked another for our Allure sailing next year! Can't wait!
  23. Commodore 64... that was a huge upgrade over my first PC. The Commodore PET! Loved the cassette tape drive for saving files!
  24. ... and here's Matt's article from just this morning ... Royal Caribbean announces order for new Oasis Class ship | Royal Caribbean Blog
