  1. I just got the updated invoce from Michelle and the difference was actually $200 LESS than what I had bid to RoyalUp!!!!! Plus now I save $199 on the UDP I cancelled since we can eat at CK and saved $207 on the Voom Surf & Stream internet we get for free now!
  2. GREAT NEWS!!!! Just 1 GS became available today and Michelle Cunningham, my TA at MEI travel, was able to grab it for me!! It was available for the same exact extra amount I had bid, but now I have it. ???
  3. What currency comes out of the ATM machines on a ship that goes to both the EU and the U.K.???? I’m assuming it would be good to tip in that currency,
  4. Coke Zero with Tito’s vodka in a tall glass ....... regular short size glass is too strong lol Bahama Mama
  5. We were on the 9/14 Symphony cruise and it was the 2 sea day nights
  6. We’re doing Navigator on the 25th ..... I hope they do this on our cruise too!!!!! I’m not sure what time we’re supposed to leave there on the Sunday.
  7. So I booked the Oasis Thanksgiving week cruise (1st one after it’s amplification) for myself and my 8yo son, spouse can’t come this time ..... I wanted a GS or OS, but they only had JS, CL, and Aqua available and the 2 real suites were more than double the cost of the JS. I didn’t think it was worth the extra expense for just me and my son. The main reason I’d like a full suite is to be guaranteed dinner reservations at Coastal Kitchen and access if we feel like it for breakfast and/or lunch. If we stay in the JS, I’m just going to do the UDP for all our meals to avoid the MDR. MY questions are, 1) how likely would it be to get the upgrade to a GS making the max bid ($2,200 total)? Or to one of the others with the bids I made on them? 2) ALSO, am I being stupid to even consider paying all that to upgrade mainly for Coastal Kitchen when I can just buy the UDP and eat at all the specialty restaurants instead? 3) One other thing I’ve been wondering, what happens if Oasis isn’t finished in time and they have to cancel the cruise? How do they handle that?
  8. Personally, I’d never want some random stranger to unpack and put my stuff away. I could see if it were your own personal butler at home who does that stuff for you all the time and knows how and where you like things, but I can’t see how a stranger putting your stuff where they think is good would be convenient. I’d be going crazy after trying to figure out where everything was.
  9. In the “Important Notes” section for buying both the “one time ride” and the “all day access” to Dragon’s Tail Coaster it says the following: Children between the ages of 5 and 11 may ride with their parent/guardian. Total ride time is approximately 3-5 minutes. Purchase a ticket and take a person along in your cart for free! That leads me to believe that if I were to buy the all day access pass for myself, I can take my 8yo son on the coaster with me over and over all day long if I wanted to and would NOT need to buy him a ticket as well. Is that correct? If so, can the other “person” also be an adult and ride it with you for free too? Edited to add: I’ve also just noticed that the cruise planner won’t even let you buy a ticket for anybody under 12
  10. Miami isn’t really much farther than Fort Lauderdale and isn’t hard to sail out of at all. We just did Symphony a few weeks ago and will be doing both Navigator and Oasis out of Miami in the next 6 weeks coming from Orlando both times. The RC port there is brand new and very easy to get in and out of.
  11. Totally agree, post about this on the Royal Caribbean Twitter and/or Facebook accounts.
  12. Yes, you setup a username and a 4 digit password code when you set it up ....... anybody you give that info to can login to the Voom. Also, if you guys turn on “WiFi calling” on your phone BEFORE the cruise, and then keep your phone in “airplane mode” but connected to the Voom WiFi, you’ll be able to make and receive phone calls thru the Voom WiFi for free. Just be sure to turn on the “WiFi Calling” BEFORE the cruise, because once you’re connected to the Voom, it won’t turn on. You can actually leave WiFi calling turned on all the time, I never turn it off on my phone, it helps calls work better at home too when connected to WiFi. Yes, the Voom WiFi works on CocoCay.
  13. We were just on Symphony a few weeks ago and went in there all the time with our 7yo son ..... we didn’t eat there, but he loved playing all the games in there
  14. I now have the UDP booked for the 11/24 Oasis cruise ....... I have a couple questions though, I’ve never had the UDP when I wasn’t in a full suite before and had to make my own reservations on board. 1) Suite concierge can’t make all the UDP reservations pre-cruise for JS guests like they do for GS suite and above guests, correct? 2) Once on board, where do you go to make UDP reservations? Do you have to go to each restaurant individually to setup the date and time? Or is there a central place that you make all your UDP reservations for the week? Thanks in advance. ?
  15. Thanks! ??? One more question I forgot to ask, would it be correct that JS guests do NOT have access to the suite beach on Labadee?
  16. Thanks again!!!! Her price for a JS was over $400 less than what RC wanted!!!
  17. I’m in the process of booking the Oasis OTS cruise today for when it returns to service on 11/24. Is there anything special on RC ships for Thanksgiving Day or throughout the week? It will be just myself and my 8yo son because my spouse can’t take that week off. We’re doing a junior suite this time because the next step to grand suite is almost double the cost. Would it be best to do the UDP if we don’t want to eat in the MDR? I’m guessing on a holiday week, there probably won’t be many dinner reservations available in the Coastal Kitchen for JS guests? We’re also going to get the Key if it’s still available once we can get into the cruise planner later today to make up for the other stuff we won’t get in a JS.
  18. I’m looking to book TODAY a suite on the Oasis Thanksgiving cruise for its first cruise after the amplification ........ My current TA never gives me anything or better prices than RC even though I’ve booked 8 cruises in suites thru him ......... so I’d like to try somebody else. Thanks in advance .......
  19. And I just noticed we’re on the same cruise as you! LOL
  20. It means that you can book the shows as soon as reservations become available and up until 72 hours before the cruise ...... about 72 hours before is when they no longer allow anybody to make reservations you can usually start booking shows anywhere from 100 to 60 days before ....... it varies, so just check regularly until you see it available.
  21. You do need to do more than just link your reservation online ....... EACH party also has to call RC and say that they want to sit with the other party and have the other party’s reservation number .... it’s annoyingly to go thru the 2 phone calls, but that’s the only way to guarantee you’ll be sitting together ....... you can also ask for a specific table size ....... like a table for 4 if you don’t want to sit with strangers
  22. We’re taking our son to Coco Beach Club .... he will be 8 for some cruises next year and 9 for the one booked in 2021 so far ......... the cruise planner gives a price for children and if there’s an age limit, it wouldn’t let you book any children on your reservation who weren’t old enough.
  23. Just booked the day passes for our cruises stopping at CocoCay! I had to call in because we also had Waterpark passes for all the days too and online said I had a “calendar conflict”
  24. Your SeaPass card is your ticket for entry. They give you paper tickets on some ships, but even when you have those, you still have to scan your SeaPass card every time you enter and leave the Waterpark. On other ships you just get a letter saying to use your SeaPass card. I’m not sure why they bother giving the paper tickets at all ..... it was on Symphony 2 weeks ago that we were given paper tickets and yet had to use the SeaPass card instead. The 2 times on Mariner were where we got the letter saying to use the card instead of tickets. I thought it was weird when we got paper tickets on Symphony and then when we got to the gate, they wouldn’t take the paper tickets and made us swipe the cards instead. I could be wrong, but we’ve been there 3 times already and I’m 99.9% sure the people you’ve seen scanning their SeaPass cards are just people who already paid to get in and were probably surprised like us to be told to use the SeaPass card instead because they were also given paper tickets like we were on Symphony.
