PC surely has to be where Star is headed. 

It's looking like some of these shipyards will become quite empty once the current orders are completed by 2026. Maybe there wouldn't be a 8 year turnaround as it stands now and if it was for a current design (ie. More Icon or even another Oasis) 

More Icon-Class - most definitely. I'd say at least 2 or 3 more. I think around 2030 they might have to do some smaller vessels but no smaller than the current Voyager Class i'd say. Something like a RCL take on the Edge-Class could be a possibility. As the Radiance Class & Voyager Class will be approaching 30 years old by then. 

With Icon II due around Q2 2025, this could replace Wonder out of PC, and then Wonder would be free to head to Asia if the demand is there.

So lets say if China is out for now, where else could Utopia be going? MIA will have Icon & Oasis, PCC will have Wonder & Allure, FL will have Symphony & Odyssey, GALV will have Harmony. Could any those also support an additional OA Class?  

Wonder is confirmed until at least Apr 2025 out of Port Canaveral so even if it was still destined for China it won't be until after that, and then what to do with Utopia in 2024/25? I would therefore guess that China/Asia be best bet at this stage for Utopia, could also be homeported out of Singapore for some of the time as well. Will be interesting to see.

Am I right that there is a limit to the vessel size to dock in Melbourne? I seem to think Quantum Class won't fit as i've never seen one go there?

Interesting.. so maybe Melbourne as a home port in the future. Maybe even 2024-25 season?.. Would be perfect for a Radiance Class size vessel. 

I think Utopia is due Q2 2024.... so that timing is a possibility.. or maybe even Wonder with Utopia going to Port Canaveral. What is the LNG fuel situation in NY ?

About time the media let this go.. Funny thing was they interviewed some passengers and they all said they weren't worried and everything was handled great etc.

I like your thinking there! Go for the latest.. On a side note has anyone mentioned if Icon Class will tender? I'm guessing no as per Oasis Class but haven't seen mention of it.. 

So going by the Alaska deployment this is clues to the transpacific cruises back from Alaska after the 2024 season. So going by that it looks like its "status quo" for 2024-25 of Ovation, Quantum and Brilliance. All showing the voyage from Vancouver/Seattle to Hawaii Sept/Oct 2024. I guess no possibility of an O Class until 2025-26 then.. 

My guess is Utopia will be very similar to Wonder but with LNG power. 

So looking ahead to 24-25 with Icon & Oasis (Winter) in Miami. Fort Laud. will have Symphony, Port Canaveral has Wonder & Allure (23-24) and Galveston will have Harmony. What's your guess as to where is Utopia heading too?

Yes sure is. Email received today Eden cancelled on my Nov 9 Quantum cruise. Swapped with an overnight in Sydney instead. Interesting thing is that on the 2nd day Quantum has to move out to the "ancourage" in Sydney Harbour as the Overseas Passenger Terminal has Majestic Princess that day.

Ovation has 3 Honolulu bookings at the same time it it supposed to be doing the trans pacific and while in Sydney. 22,29 October and 5th November.

Navigator looks like it could be doing a trans pacific in February 2024, from Los Angeles-Honolulu on the 21 - westbound?

 Apparently Ovation is due for a dry dock about that time and I’m thinking it may do a couple of cruises out of Hawaii and then off to Singapore for a dry dock.
If so what’s going to replace it in sydney?

Ovation had a dry dock in March 2021 so technically it wouldn't be due again until 2026 unless there is an unscheduled one. Ovation's 3 bookings in HNL could also be a placeholder for something else too. It is interesting Navigator showing up there though. Guess we wait and see.

I have booked on the Nov 9th sailing - so i'm doing my bit to help the cause!  Got a good rate on a GS too. 

I’m on the Nov 9th sailing of Quantum out of Brisbane and going by RCI website not many rooms left.  

This season 2022/23 is restart season, so we’ll see. Quantum is coming back to Brisbane for 2023/24 that’s probably a better reflection of the demand. My thoughts are that we won’t see a Voyager or Freedom Class in Australia now. I’d say status quo for now Quantum/Ovation/(Radiance Class) and an Oasis Class for 2024/25 at the earliest coinciding with Perfect Day at Lelepa. 

I just noticed that Brilliance is now blanked out for Summer Europe 2023 bookings so sounds like something in the works here for sure.

Yes it looks like they have. I think they've gone a bit conservative for now but as long as bookings return and the ships full up then i'm sure we'll get more options in the future. Also remember Virgin is bringing the new "Resilient Lady" next year as well as "Celebrity Edge" coming down under so these are positive signs of confidence in the region. 

It would have been nice for Carnival to bring a newer ship down under like one of the Dream or Vista Class that would have been a good upgrade and a bit more competitive with other lines.

I agree. Not much variety in the South Pacific especially with Quantum or Ovation. There is also Mare island (looks like Enchantment is stopping there) and I believe a few years back there was Luganville in the Vanuatu outer island of Santo as a stop. Interesting that you say about Quantum/Ovation are too big for Isle of Pines & Lifou especially when they are both tender ports. Must be on the amount of passengers. 

All 2023-24 Australian season is now uploaded on RCI site. One interesting one is the "Circle Australia" itinerary is back with Enchantment. Otherwise the usual mix of NZ, South Pacific & Short cruises.

My guess here is they won't be year round in 2023 in the South Pacific. They'll need to build up with this now comeback season 2022-23 and once they are happy with that then get Lelepa ready. So i'd say 2024 looks more likely for a year round deployment.    

On a side note I see that the Australian deployment (23-24) has been moved up to next week, not sure if this is any coincidence of yesterdays announcement but we'll know what 23-24 holds next week at least. Going by the Alaska 23 deployment i'd say its likely to be Ovation, Quantum (Radiance?) and Enchantment. 

Yes Allure is deployed out of Port Canaveral for short cruises Nov 23 - Apr 24, so not for Australia for that season. Interesting thought about Enchantment based out of Auckland, that would be great even if it was for the winter (southern hemisphere) season only. I'm sure Enchantment could be spared for year round based out of Australia & New Zealand. 

Looks like Allure is doing short cruises from Port Canaveral then going by that test load on the site. Interesting, this will be confirmed next week anyway. Looks like Australia might just have to wait until 24-25 then, there will be another Oasis (#6) available by then.
