  1. idk why but I'm getting quite a tickle out of the bridge part being constructed over there on the side.
  2. hmm....if you go to the items directly as though trying to purchase, do they show "reserved" or greyed out from purchasing? If so, it may just be a glitch on the Royal IT side.
  3. I do hope it comes back then...or at the very least is still tied to me check-in information on their end...i like effortless check-in
  4. Didn't it save time though? That was the impression I was under. That if you didn't have it uploaded they had to manually enter the information then and there...at least...that's what I remember happening last year...
  5. The sun beds (the giant square bed with a linen-like canopy) are a paid feature and if you try to use any open ones without paying, you will be asked to leave. However, there are plenty of free lounger chairs all over the Labadee beaches in or out of the sun for your use.
  6. When I heard that Spectrum had hot pot I was SO jealous! Hot pot is Soooo good! In the same vein, I'd love it if Royal took a page from Virgin and got a KBBQ place. Korean BBQ is my favorite cuisine but it's really pricey on land so I can only go a couple times a year. If I could combine that culinary treat with my other cruise/vacation treats it would be awesome!
  7. definitely wish we could do this for the cruise we want to take in 2024 but alas August isn't open yet
  8. Interesting.....I have the same lack of vaccination card area...which makes me a teeny bit concerned seeing as we definitely still need it for our cruise next Saturday AND we uploaded them AND got them confirmed....AND the health protocols page still says we need them... hopefully just another example of Royal IT.
  9. We have a sailing to Labadee that leaves in 10 days and we have gotten no notice that is going to change. I really hope it doesn't...we picked this itinerary specifically for Labadee because we (1) missed out on it on our Odyssey due to the issues and what not and (2) got a GREAT deal on a bungalow
  10. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/the-healthy-sail-center?icid=hlthys_wrnssn_hlt_nbrdxp_pghdr_3467 From the royal site
  11. Yes the age restriction is 13. Snagged this from a video (since I didn't personally take any photos of the restrictions/warnings they have posted at the entrance). You sign up with your seapass account which will have all passengers ages so there's probably no real way to get around it. Video is here and Zone Zero info starts at 4:50:
  12. We successfully booked our RTT appointments. I'm still debating if we should try to make back up appointments or order the Emed tests...I would hate to SOL in the event something goes wrong.
  13. When Covid first started and we were still in the office at my old job - I sent this to my boss and said we need to play it on the screens around the building I was denied....and then I quit
  14. I chose Freedom because it's been the best I've been on so far. The Vision class was too small for me personally with a lot less to do even on sea days and while the Quantum was fun in its own way, there was an elegant note to the whole thing that was nice but sometimes not as chill (ie it felt so weird having a brightly decorated door). I think I would like Voyager as well since it's so similar. And trying my first Oasis Class in 2 weeks.
  15. I just double checked - it was in my planner for my cruise in a few weeks but I can confirm it has also been removed for me. I wish I had paid enough attention to give you a timeline of when I last saw it....(a month+ easily though)
  16. Anything you carry on is yours to carry. If you plan to carry on a lot and don't want to lug it through crowds, I'd advise choosing a check-in time closer to 1 as the rooms usually open around 1:30. Otherwise, there is The Key but that may be a lot if you're only interested in the carry-on storage perk
  17. Following this to hear from more people. This sounds like a great alternative to the $70 abbot set and also comes with the benefit of not having to stress over shipping dates.
  18. I was literally just back on the forums to ask if anyone had experience with this. I saw a horror story from JJ cruise with one of these types of sites so I'm cautious. Glad to hear it worked well at the port.
  19. Hello cruisers! Can anyone update me on actual shipping times for the abbot tests? Expedited says 2-4 days ...is this accurate? (To Chicago/midwest if that helps)
  20. This particular one of the about isn't accepted because it's not monitored by a medical professional. The BinaxNow they're accepting is the "Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag Card Test"
  21. I would love for this to be an option....there's so much that doesn't show up on the app calendar. Who do we poke about RC app suggestions? Twitter? Survey? email?
  22. Basically echoing what the others have said. Usually, there's been a sign somewhere on or in the not-fridge that says "this is not a refrigerator, this is a cooler". And I have found that they absolutely highly vary in coolness level. On our 2015 freedom and 2017 enchantment, they got cold enough for my mom who loves ice cold water. but Liberty it was barely below room temp. Then on Odyssey everything was perfectly chilled.
  23. Royal does offer excursions at the return port and from what I understand they will make sure your luggage is taken care of and that you get a ride to our airport if you elect to do one.
  24. Griff from Griff and Alyssa and the J's from JJ Cruise made good points about the mattresses being very firm when purchased so that they hold up better to the high usage. I don't have anything to indicate if this is true or not (and I don't even know if i would notice as I'm a fan of extra firm mattresses and the only new ship I've been on was Odyssey and I was quite happy) but I thought it was worth mentioning in case that helps your future bookings. May be that the recently amped ships have gotten the new mattresses?
  25. *Stares in midwest*...so...landlocked in Illinois..with NJ 12 hours, Galveston 18 hours and FL 24 hours by car away....I...just should never cruise...? That.....is a REALLY blind and privileged thing to say....The US is bigger than just the coasts....
