This blog is absolutely biased and rightfully so. It was created and patronized by royal fans. Most people in here are realistic about any royal shortcomings generally speaking however. We view royal like a family member, we can talk smack about when appropriate but will defend it to others when appropriate as well.

I would love to know the numbers on how many pre cruise tests are positive and lead to one canceling their cruise. How many cases do the pre cruise Covid tests catch and prevent from boarding?

I would sail if the ship was a covid ward. At this point I dont care if the ship is 100% unvaxxed. I am sure my vaccines and the dirty martini's onboard would protect me.

Man the reviews of Alaskan cruises this year have been poor. Not sure if it’s selection bias or if something is afoot.

I just hope people dont bellyache on message boards when they feel like they contracted covid onboard. Covid is everywhere and can be contracted anywhere anytime. People assume some level of risk when they decide to cruise to begin with. My point is, i hope that if cases go up on ships, it doesnt lead to a reversal of these positive steps royal has now taken.

No one asked but I really enjoyed the Viking crown lounge on navigator. Man those views were impressive. Great place to chill,booze, and take in the view. Roderick the bartender made a good martini as well.

Dry bars ? Agreed little use for them

I wish royal had some stogie bars on some of the ships. The one time I sailed Disney I hit up the Meridian bar which had a nice selection of bourbons and and a deck for stoge smoking.

I hear ya but inevitably people would test when they got home and then bellyache on message boards about how they contracted rona aboard the thoughtless cruise ship. Wait, that’s already happening.

I’d prefer pre Cruise testing be repealed but from a risk and publicity standpoint for the cruise line, I would think it would be tough. One should Surmise there’d be more cases aboard which equals bad publicity regardless of how mild they may be. Perception is reality as they say.
