  1. Thanks everyone! I booked a rental through Enterprise and through Avis while I try to figure out what locations I want to deal with. I haven’t booked a rental car in a while, so it’s interesting to see how much the price varies depending on the pickup and drop off locations. I appreciate everyone’s input. Thanks again.
  2. Thank you for the suggestion! Renting a car hadn't even crossed my mind. This seems like it could be the least stressful option.
  3. In my excitement to jump on a Casino Royale offer for Utopia, I booked a 3-night cruise on the back of a 4-night cruise on Allure before realizing that Utopia is in Port Canaveral and I’m getting off of Allure in Miami. Has anyone attempted this before? I realize how risky it is, especially given all of the moving parts it would take just to get to Orlando before the hour ride from Orlando to the port. But is it possible? Obviously, the first obstacle is getting off the ship first thing in the morning. Previous research has lead me to believe it’s possible to be off and clear of customs by 7:30 if there are no delays. Current flight options from MIA to MCO leave at 9:05 am (land at 10:25), 9:28 am (land at 10:39), but then not again until 12:03 pm (land at 1:16). FLL has a 9:30 flight. In my favor, I will have TSA and will be Team Carry-on. Other options are the Brightline: leaving 8:50, arriving 12:15 or leaving 9:45, arriving 1:15. A third option would just be a car service. Uber/Lyft seems like something that would easily be cancelled by a driver last minute. In conclusion, this seems insane, but part of me wants to attempt it. What seems like to most logical way to go? I’m open to any and all suggestions.
  4. Sailing out of Port Everglades in November. Will fly home on Friday, Nov. 11, which is a holiday. I know that FLL is near the cruise terminal, but MIA has all of the direct flights to my destination. Has anyone gone from Port Everglades to the Miami Airport? Do you have a preferred service to get you there? Would it be insane to book at 10:25am flight out of MIA on debarkation day?
  5. Apparently this is a thing now. Are you at the 45 day mark? I heard we might not get to pick a check in time until 30 days out now? (Even though we can put the other info in there earlier.)
  6. Is there a database anywhere that actually has the info everyone is referencing? It would be great to know some of fine details before boarding. I would be curious to know how much credit you get in the a la carte spots. Maybe it varies ship to ship? Does anyone know if Johnny Rockets is covered?
  7. I read up on Bernard’s. They look solid. I booked myself a placeholder tour on RCL for $26 during the weekend sale. Will book with Bernard if I make some friends ahead of the May sailing. Thanks everyone!
  8. I have never been to either St. Thomas or St. Maarten and I think taking tours of those islands would be the best excursions for me. I’m trying to figure out if I would be better off taking an RCL excursion or a tour through a 3rd party. Normally, I don’t hesitate to take a 3rd party excursion, but I am traveling solo on this sailing and have been told it might be best to stick with RCL. Does anyone have any recommendations on this topic? Whether it’s for an RCL excursion or a 3rd party. I’m open to all advice and/or recommendations. Thanks!
  9. I had those a few weeks ago on a different (mouse themed) cruise line and even those were a bit odd for me. But I would take that over a pop top.
  10. I I was planning on just picking a single park for one day. I’ve heard of people hitting all 4 parks in one day, but I am not that person!
  11. I know that Disneyland in CA does, and I’m almost sure that all 4 parks at WDW do as well. That’s part of the reason I’m looking into it now because I know it won’t be possible to wing it.
  12. Taking my first solo cruise on the Symphony out of Miami at the end of May. I have a few days free before the sailing, so I’m thinking about flying on a red-eye into Orlando 2 days prior to engage in some solo Disney fun, since I’ve never been. Here’s the preliminary plan: 1) - land at MCO early Thursday morning 2) - get a Covid test at the airport 3) - Uber to an Orlando hotel (offsite of Disney, looking for a deal) 4) - Uber to WDW, check out hotels and Downtown 5) - Do a park day Friday 6) - Uber to airport early Saturday, fly to Miami, board Symphony. Am I crazy to do this? This was an idea to add some bucket list items to my already booked bucket list solo cruise. Obviously it’s not ideal to fly on embarkation day, but I feel a little more comfortable doing it since it’s Orlando to Miami. Should I feel comfortable? Anyone have any advice or suggestions? If anyone has done this and recommends an off-site hotel, I’m all ears.
