  1. That I did not know... Thanks...
  2. They changed pricing on me. I thought if you bought at a given price it’s locked in?
  3. 248 days til my treatment... Indy... ?
  4. Gf got a little creative with this one using the lollipop from our RCCL 50th anniversary cake...
  5. Must be nice... Only available as upcharge on last three sailings for us... Majesty or Indy?
  6. Havn't seen it offered on 5 or 7 night cruises in a couple years now... ?
  7. That's what they did... I'm Royal loyal but some things they do get under my skin...
  8. We actually went twice... First "agent" was really shifty, unfriendly and generally unhelpful. Second was friendly and accommodating but she too spoke with forked tongue...
  9. That's what they did... Exact same square footage and lay out to the last millimeter. Just further aft it had been same class cabin then designation changed. Again same thing just different designation? It has me a little bothered they said nothing in that area was available when we booked but then when I looked on line the exact one (ones) were wide open. That's what's got me a little uneasy...
  10. In April...
  11. I don't honestly know. We did it at the next cruise desk. They took away my onboard credit when we requested a specific room...
  12. While on Indy we booked for next year to mesh with dates for my GF kids spring break (April 2020). She just got a promotion at work and another may be in the works. Shes in accounting and we are booked in peak tax season. With promotions she may not be able to go on planned dates. Might have to switch dates and maybe even itineraries to possibly Oasis out of Jersey a few weeks later. How tough is his gonna be? Do I get my deposit chewed up? Do they keel haul me then hang me from yard arm? Suggestions to make a swap smooth?
  13. Costa Maya we took a taxi to their general beach area. Not much but wqas fun. Cozumel has a place called Money Bar and that was fantastic. Had an awesome lunch couple sodas and great snorkeling right there. Havn't done Roatan but hear its great. Coco Cay has good snorkeling as well..
  14. Lose the blues with a fresh booking... I do it early in the trip to make sure I don't get the blues thinking abut this one ending...
  15. G string and a "beater" t shirt might get you asked to be a bit more appropriate. I've done nice shorts with collared shirt but GF gets grumbly so usually its Khakis to fill the pants end of things...
  16. I've always packed light. Ex and Daughter never figured how to do a weekend with short of a steamer trunk. GF has it figured out. 2 swim suits, two shorts, 2 pants, 4 shirts, 2 light dresses. Mix and match will get it for a week. I often wear my formal clothes aboard so I don't get them wrinkled. Change by the pool after windjammer lunch. Then carry to cabin when its available. I too pack similar to GF. twosies that can mix and match.... We are carry on for a week.
  17. On a budget for a trip at premium time we took an ocean view with two drop down bunks. Sounds crowded but with so much going on with ship and shore activities its in the end only some place to shut your eyes for a few hours...
  18. For years I did ok without them. First time I saw them I rolled my eyes... "Another money grab..." GF got us each one and I hang my head in shame at my earlier snobbishness. Used it whole last cruise and just picked up a couple more for the kids we'll be bringing next time...
  19. Royal Caribbean has ships and passengers immediately impacted. Spokesman Owen Torres told USA TODAY in a statement, "We are aware of the announcement and are analyzing the details to understand the impact on our itineraries. In the meantime, we are adjusting the itineraries of our June 5 and June 6 sailings, which will no longer stop in Cuba. We are communicating with our guests about those changes."
  20. I have done the many in a mini thing a few times... Its not as bad as one might think. Last time happened to be on Majesty. I found we spent minimal time in the cabin. Teen club gets out at 1Am and your other is an adult. My fiancé and I were asleep by the time they got in. I know you said girls but try to pack light. We have found that we can pack in a large and small carry on type each. We do clothes in the larger carry on's and the smaller ones each get a snorkel set , a bottle of wine (in the adults), a few bottles of water (in the teens ). a smaller yet rolled up shopping bag, misc stuff... We use the little remaining space and the rolled up shopping bags to tote souvenirs. I keep my bag in the trace between the bed and wall. Fiancé does as well. The kids unpacked and left bags in closet. Where you ladies will feel the small space squeeze will be when doing hair and makeup. There is a chair at the desk and a second cushioned one across from the mirror. The bathroom is very small but a third can prep in there. We found it best to let me shower and change first and vacate the cabin to go wander around on deck while their ceremonial war paint applications takes place. I'm a boat captain by trade and understand the finer points of shower shave and dress in that small bathroom in just a very few minutes. We plan to do many in a mini on Independence next April. The GTY part makes me crazy. I too am a planning oriented person. Also being at sea so much in my job, I often don't have access to a printer for docs and set sail passes. I let them know that for our last cruise and they were good about assigning fairly quickly. That gave me time to print out our stuff before heading out to sea to work...
  21. Mine didn't show on the app til almost sailing day...
  22. I actually lived a short while in Montego Bay when I was real little kid. Took ride to Dunn's with folks a few times. Showed my blood daughter Dunn' when she was young and now with future step kids in tow looking to relive it one more time. Excursions showing up now include what I'm looking for,,, Dunn's River (Not BS "Adventure falls") and then some tubing. (No I'm not in the least worried about tubing. I love it... Now the questions shift. RCL has a Dunn's+ Tubing trip available. Past experience has taught me that "official excursions" are usually much more expensive and far less personal . In Costa Maya and Cozumel this last trip , for example , we did far better with outside vendors... Problem is you don't always know who to trust. I trust referrals. So.... If you have someone you could recommend I'd love to hear it.
  23. Now that's the kind of reply I was looking for... Thanks! Now I got to get ahold of a map pf the place so I can micro plan... I got a map this last trip but GF absconded with it... ?
  24. Did a weeklong in Alaska... Think it might have been my favorite trip to date...
  25. Wow I hit a hot topic! ?As for the newbies I never got any points. On the sailing solo, I enjoy having a baritone voice but the GF would see to it that I would become soprano if I went that direction. ? Some great ideas coming through though... Keep em coming...
