As for me, I have been looking forward to this day the most! Hubby refused to get a cabana so he and the kids are getting off and heading to Barefoot beach “cabanaless”. @bellemichehas offered to let them store their stuff in their cabana. I am staying on board all by myself! Could not be more excited! 🙂

Entertainment miss for us tonight. I know this is a personal thing but my take 👎
All due respect to the performer Magic still not our thing. We tried to like it, we wanted to like it BUT it was a hard no for me. Again he was funny and likeable its just card tricks and shadow puppets bore me to tears.
I wish they would have maybe booked another live band or something else. The Beatlemaniacs are here but while the sets are different I would have enjoyed another choice. Labadee tomorrow. 

I really think they did try. The time was  tight from the get go. Because of our early departure time from San Juan, and the arrival time of that flight, I said to Hubby yesterday already that I was not confident it would have made it. 
 
The manager at guest services who is in charge of this ended up calling me earlier. Whoever they called to pick it up also encountered traffic so luck was not on our side.
 
It’s ok. We already accepted on Sunday that we would be cruising casual this sailing. We are enjoying ourselves, I am not back in my own kitchen making dinner, we have an amazing Genie. As long as that luggage is sitting in the Baggage Service area at MIA Sunday morning, all is good.

The saga continues! We are sailing away as I type this, and my bag is at SJU 😕
Royal called the port agent to pick it up but the pilot is here, so off we go. I think the next plan now is to have to sent to MIA before Sunday. 
 
Disappointed yes, but I am so impressed with our Genie and the GS team here. They have worked quickly, kept me informed each step of the way, and they are trying their hardest, let’s hope this bag and I meet back on 3/20. Pray for us lol. 

All week the debate among the SC peeps was watch Aqua 80 from the balcony or main seats. All week we were adamant that we wanted to watch from the main seats. Our 13 year old is short, so we usually request the first row of seats held (just behind the first 3 rows of benches). We followed tradition tonight and that where we sat.
 
Turns out Aqua 80 was pretty good, but the SC gang in the Aqua Theatre suites got a second good show watching @bellemicheand us get completely soaked! @ShakeDownCruisewas in the same row as us but closer to the left aisle and managed to stay dry. The rest of us, and no joke, where fully soaked! I pretty much looked, and felt like I fell into the pool!! And @Neesawho we ran into on the way back to the room can vouch for that! Lol
Not sure if that was supposed to happen or not, but basically near the end when the fountains where going off, one shot up sky high and rained/showered/hosed down on us.  Our friends who are the the Deck 8 ATS are wondering if it was an accident because she could see the tech team from her balcony and she said they were at first horrified and then had a good laugh 😂 so an eventful end of the evening for us. Now waiting for my hair to dry, and as luck would have it, it is past midnight and we have an early start in San Juan tomorrow. 
Side note: no divers at all in tonight’s show. Somewhat disappointing, but it is what it is. Loved the Back to the Future references.

I will definitely pass over the hello! Hossain has mentioned in our emails that he has a little boy as well - he said he is excited to meet my little one for this reason and whatever she wants, she will get! I chuckled at that comment from him 

Hossain was our genie a few weeks ago. I know he will make your cruise absolutely fantastic! Please tell him that Lori and Steve said hi. He should remember us if you mention the round lounger. Can't wait to read about your adventure. 
He has a little boy that is very close in age to your daughter.

Our cruise is now 3 days away and time is dwindling down quickly. I have 2 ½ more workdays until I am relaxing on our balcony enjoying the waves with a mimosa in hand. My parents, Big Wayne and Kelly, are leaving this afternoon from Maryland to drive down to Florida. My parents have always enjoyed long peaceful car rides and decided to start their vacation early this way. My parents visited McKenzie, my husband and I this past weekend up in PA for my birthday and offered to take our luggage with them if we were finished packing. I quickly packed up 3 suitcases (a small, medium, and large sized). I was having a little anxiety with the thought of taking an 8-month-old through the airport with a ton of luggage, so my parents taking all of our luggage early was a MAJOR help. Now the only thing we have to travel with on Friday for our flight is our daughters diaper bag, a pump bag, and our travel stroller. My brother, Little Wayne is currently in London (he is a flight attendant) and will be making his way toFlorida on Friday. DJ will be flying in from Jacksonville (where he is stationed) on Thursday evening.
 
Our Genie assigned for the cruise is Hossain and already he has been a blessing. He has been very communicative to our questions and requests so far. The only things that is up in the air is whether or not we will be able to do Chefs Table or not. Currently, Chefs Table has been discontinued on Symphony until further notice. We are not quite sure why. I was really looking forward to the wine pairing but will schedule something at Vintages perhaps. 
 
Every time I close my eye, I just imagine a mimosa in hand over looking the beautiful sea.

The time is finally approaching very quickly and I have officially decided to blog my vacation experience with the www (aka Royal Caribbean Blog)! 
 
I am Kayla (25f), a new mommy and newer wife to my wonderful husband Jake (26m). We will be cruising with our little girl, McKenzie (8 months), my mother, Kelly, father, Big Wayne., brother, Little Wayne, and brothers friend (ex boyfriend but friend still? I have no idea!), DJ.  We will ALL be cruising on the March 19th sailing on  symphony of the Seas in the 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater Suite! We are BEYOND EXCITED. 
I have so much excitement that I decided to live blog throughout our trip in order for me to calmly express my excitement for everything. 
 
I plan for this blog to mostly be about our experience with sailing Star Class mixed with sailing on Symphony mixed with sailing as first time parents. As you can read this trip is about all firsts!

Beautiful day in St. Thomas today. Got off just briefly to walk around but for those of you who know me well, that is actually code for, “Let’s go to Effy.” 😁 In case you did not know, I truly have the most wonderful Hubby. 
 

And I am starting to think I have the most wonderful and thoughtful Genie as well. I have no clue how Allan knew that Numi is my most favourite brand of tea. I cannot remember if it was on my survey, but I don’t think it was. This is such a small gesture but so impressed.
