Adrenaline beach is often quite windy - and I understand can be rocky.  Columbus cove has lots of trees, shade, chairs, sun, food and bars nearby, it's sandy and the water is super calm (the three times we've been).   But you could do 1/2 day at one, and 1/2 day at the other for a nice change of scenery ?

When I went to Labadee, we liked Nellie’s Beach the best. It wasn’t as crowded as the nearby Columbus Cove. Also, Adrenaline Beach is super rocky, which can be a little dangerous. We collected lots of seashells while we were in Labadee as we found that they washed up on the shore of all the beaches on the private island.

We love Columbus Cove as it is more low-key and relaxed!

Looking at your picture I would say you are fair skinned.  So  please bring  some good sunscreen and use it often.  If you haven't been to the tropics,  the sun is different than the sun in Utah.  You can fry quickly in the caribbean sun    And just because you might not be in the direct sun you can still be burned from reflective rays from the white sand and water.  Don.t mean scare you but be careful and have a great cruise.

The snorkeling off the beach isn't that good at Labadee (vs. Coco Cay).  I'd suggest an excursion if you really want to see a good natural reef.  That's how I got hooked!

There is a free water shuttle to Columbus Cove directly from the pier, or take the free land based trams.  I walk it to get my steps in, it's not that far really and a pleasant walk on level ground.
I often enjoy Labadee with no additional costs involved.

Nellie's Beach and Columbus Cove are both free and also have complimentary loungers; they also have softer sand / no rocks in the water (unlike Adrenaline Beach, where water shoes are mandatory if you're going in the water). You have to walk pretty much all the way to the far end of the main path to get to Nellie's Beach, and Columbus Cove is all the way at the end. But Columbus is also usually the least-crowded because no one wants to walk that far! ?
Nice thing about being at either beach is that you're also reasonably close to the alpine coaster and have a bar in between the two beaches.

Adrenaline Beach is free and is where we usually spend the day.  Lounge Chairs are complimentary, just like on board.  You can swim, relax, and watch the Dragon's Breath Flight Line riders right in front of you...

    HI all!
We are Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we'll be sailing on Indy in Nov. As a World Wide Church we are studying the Bible (We use the King James Version). We thought it would be fun to invite anyone of ALL ages to join us in a 1 Hour Bible study/discussion on SUNDAY NOV. 10 while on board Independence of the seas! My Husband & I will be sailing with our 3 boys ages 6, 10, & 13. Let me know if you're interested, so I can plan accordingly. Here is a link to the lesson we will be studying https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/come-follow-me-for-individuals-and-families-new-testament-2019/43?lang=eng

We booked this thru RCL excursion.  It was a River Float and Zipline combo.  The organization of the day was not great.  It took awhile to get organized at the port.  There was quite a bit of waiting time between activities.  However, we loved the activities.  Be prepared to be drenched by your guides along the river float.  The ziplines are great!  The lunch was included and was delicious.  We did not have time to do the wate rslide.

We booked on Good Hope Estate through DCL last October for the House tour and lunch--as noted they operate on island time and it seems rather haphazard but everyone was wonderful. The house is quite amazing in the innovations it had for the time. The facility for lunch is a very large new pavilion which also uses old structures brilliantly. The lunch was very good. We really enjoyed the day, and driving back through Falmouth to the ship made us doubly glad we booked this trip and didn't venture into town.

We went to Nassau in Oct. 2017 and LOVED it!! We bought tickets to Atlantis on their website. Got off the ship & took a taxi to Atlantis! It was more beautiful & amazing than in the pictures! The slides & lazy river were SO fun and the beach was gorgeous! Our boys (5, 9 & 11 at the time) loved finding giant concha shells EVERYWHERE!! We walked through the aquarium & It was a perfect day! At the end of the day we were the last ones to board the ship around 8pm. Have fun, be smart & enjoy Nassau!
