Dining Glitch for Odyssey November 5th, 2020
JG1209 replied to ellcee's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Why cant my cruises ever be part of a glitch .... let me rephrase that- a beneficial to the cruiser glitch. LOL I wouldnt want a glitch to mess anything up ? -
We are definitely getting the package.. theres no question about that LOL We will get our moneys worth. When best friends of 25 years have the chance to go celebrate their 40th birthdays--- without the kids and husbands.... we will take full advantage of the free time! LOL

Hi. I know it is almost always cheaper to purchase things ahead of time.. but does anyone have an idea about what the deluxe drink package runs if purchased on the ship? I have an OBC that I can use on the ship- that is not available by using the Cruise Planner. I know it varies ship to ship and date to date.. but I was just wondering a ballpark price per day. And yes, I will get my money's worth if I purchase it on this trip. Its a best friends/girls trip/celebrating 40th birthdays... yes, it will be that kind of trip LOL Thanks ?

I have to say--- I am really starting to feel like one of you guys..... ??? I have 2 cruises under my belt-- well technically 5- --- 3 of them from when I was a kid and Premier Cruise Lines was around... Recently, I have gone on Majesty and Enchantment. I am now going on Harmony in March.... Mariner in April.... and Oasis in March 2021. I always check this blog for anything cruise related.. whether it is ship questions, excursion questions, dining, etc. I always use Royal Caribbean Blog as my top resource! You guys are amazing! Thanks for always being so helpful and full of information. This forum and people are always so great! You are truly appreciated! Especially @Matt! Just wanted to say my appreciation ?

Thanks, that is what I was thinking too... one of the lower decks..

Good afternoon, Any clue what deck the life boats are on with the Mariner of the Seas? I want to book a balcony room but dont want to be obstructed by something like lifeboats .. I am all for life boats--- just not in my view LOL Thanks!

Somehow they knew it was my bday and they sang to me and gave me dessert. You could always decorate the room with a little something. Go to the Dollar Store and get a few things.. and get magnetic clips- most of the room is metal ?

If you go to hotels.com and put in Port Canaveral/Cape Canaveral or even Cocoa Beach (zipcodes 32920 and 32931) any of the hotels in the vicinity are within a 5-10 minute drive to the port. There are a bunch of restaurants within the area. Restaurants at the Port: Rusts, Grills, Fishlips, Gators Dockside. If you have a question about the area, you can always send me an email. I live right here and I grew up here. ? [email protected]

Yes, they do go up! I booked the CocoBeach club day pass for $70.... and I checked back since they are doing a new "sale" and it is now $199!! Crazy!! So glad I booked when I did! I can justify 70 for the day pass, I cannot justify 199. I look at it as paying a little extra for peace and quiet away from the busy water parks and its kinda like a specialty dining spot, since the food is supposed to be an upgrade from the rest of the island food.

I am a planner too! My family and friends tell me that I am in the wrong profession. I should be a travel agent because I do so much planning when it comes to travel! I am always about getting the best deal too! Who doesnt love saving money!!??!! I dont mind checking websites frequently, if it can save me money. I have learned to book in the cruise planner- locking in a price and then rebook if you see it lower. This way, you will never pay more than what you originally booked.... and with the excursions, you know you wont miss out on one- since they can/do sell out. Planning and checking back pays off ?
-
Me too.-- well sorta, I got more of an on board credit. I started out with none at the time of original booking and after 2 Royal Caribbean "sales"- I now have $200OBC ($100 per each balcony room) I am so thankful for Matt always keeping us up to date on any sales and for the option of repricing ?

CoCo Cay Pricing Getting Ridiculous
JG1209 replied to WannaCruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It has been consistently around the $80 mark... and all of a sudden today- it sky rocketed! I hope that we are the only ship that day- I am on the Harmony. But if we arent, I am glad that I have the passes already.. I will be secluded from the crowds ? -

I just checked. The CocoBeach Club day pass is now $199 a person my my sailing. So glad I booked when I did. 70 bucks is a lot better sounding. Lol -
That happened to me last time too.. they were so quick, I never got the chance to tip them. I was like... geez, that was quick LOL

Coco Cay, Beach Club or Beach Bed?
JG1209 replied to Mikeb1892's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
As others have posted and speculated- 450 is the max capacity for the CocoBeach Club, which includes the cabana guests. That seems like a good number compared to the 1900 capacity at Thrill Park. (all numbers came from a rep at RC.) ? -
Coco Cay, Beach Club or Beach Bed?
JG1209 replied to Mikeb1892's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Did I read somewhere that they only sell 200 passes to the beach club? I was wondering how crowded it would be. I like the idea of it being a little more relaxed and quiet.. away from the crowds. .. at least for this cruise. Next cruise in March 2021, I will deal with "crowds" because I will have my 2 kids with me (7 and 11 yrs old) -
99 days till Oasis and getting very excited!
JG1209 replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I completely know the feeling of your whole post- I am about 40 days out for my mother/daughter cruise... and then we have booked another cruise for March 2021 with my 9yr old and 5yr old. My 5yr old asks me almost every day-- mom, how many more days until we go on our cruise? I hate to break her little heart when I say- 400+ days out LOL It will be worth the wait though. She will be 7 by then and my son will be 11. These will be great memories! -
Usually about 90 days out is when you can start booking shows. , if I recall correctly.-- I will add, it is only certain class ships that you can book early.
-
Thank you @jaullram for asking this. I may visit the suite lounge more than I thought LOL .

I want to know too! LOL I will be on an Oasis ship in March. It true, I will have to take advantage of the free drinks .. I dont drink a ton, but saving any money is better than none at all . I paid enough for the cruise itself LOL ?

Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures. Golf n Gator (putt putt). Go karts right next door. Cocoa beach pier. check Groupon. They have deals on stuff in the area all the time. Dolphin sight seeing fishing. Etc. Dinosaur Store KSC is always nice too. Not sure how long you are in Port Can. But KSC is a full day.
