  1. If you use the app you can just grab the times and then complete the rest at your leisure over the next few days, especially if you're having to input info for the whole group. One thing to bear in mind is that you need to select a time for each member of your group. The system doesn't default everyone to the same time.
  2. I wish they had a "one-way" option on there. That would include repositioning cruises but would also turn up ones that aren't, like some of the European itineraries that do (for example) Rome to Barcelona, etc.
  3. I would be really annoyed about that too. It's not much use to you now, unfortunately, but what I usually do is keep a screenshot of the description of anything I buy in the cruise planner so that I have it for reference in case something goes awry. Maybe you could do that for future trips.
  4. I had it with a "side" of vanilla ice cream...
  5. Pretty much all of my favourite desserts disappeared when they scaled back the menus. The only one that's left - the royal chocolate cake - seemed different on my last cruise so I don't know if they changed the recipe or if it was just a one-off issue. I guess I would say my current favourites are the vegan chocolate cherry tart in the MDR (on the Bon Voyage menu) and the banana split in Jamies.
  6. I have seen exactly this scenario reported in the past by people who subsequently received confirmation that they had won the "pending" bid. However, it's never happened to me so I can't say with any certainty. Not that you can say anything with any certainty where RU is concerned, mind... Fingers crossed for you anyway.
  7. Further enhanced by the fact that the OP captioned each individual pic so we know what the dishes are! Thanks @Karannk! Have an amazing trip.
  8. I see the same as @jbrinkm. I also don't see anything called a day bed.
  9. If you mean these ones: They are great and I definitely recommend them. I use them first of all to put our identification in for our flights and then switch that out for the cruise tags before boarding the ship. Don't put the cruise tags on your bags until you reach your embarkation port city. The ones with the steel rings are best (some come with plastic rings which are not as strong). The numbers, letters and symbols are for the people who will load your luggage. It tells them what area, deck and cabin number you are in so that they can deliver your luggage to you.
  10. I haven't done that yet but I have it pencilled in for my upcoming sailing on the nights when there is no royal chocolate cake in the MDR.
  11. I love baklava! Many years ago, it would show up in the MDR on longer sailings. I have never seen it in the WJ but, just in case you didn't know, it's one of the desserts at dinner in the Solarium Bistro, on the ships that have one...
  12. Yes, Oasis is due for her mandatory 5-year dry dock this year. Sometimes they do this at the start of the European season and sometimes at the end. Looks like it's going to be at the end this time round, given that gap. I can't remember seeing sailings in October but I wasn't really looking for them.
  13. That's very disappointing @Mr.Cruiser, I feel for you. It's a strange one, this. It's not uncommon for cruise lines to make changes for various operational reasons. Sometimes they're obvious like an unsafe environment (e.g. Israel and Suez), sometimes a charter will cause the cruises either side to be modified or an urgent maintenance issue might throw a spanner in the works, but this one seems to have come out of nowhere. Even though it doesn't affect me I'd be interested to know what's going on.
  14. That's crazy. Did you book direct or through a travel agent? I think you need to be proactive with this and speak to Royal or your travel agent to do something about it because if your cabin is showing available on the website then it is entirely possible that someone else could book it.
  15. I don't suppose you have travel insurance that might reimburse you for the cost of the flights?
  16. If they'd have knocked even $20 off it, I'd have bought it. Instead, I took advantage of the C&A sale they had a while back and just booked the two restaurants I specifically wanted to try.
  17. That was a great price! I'm on Symphony in 2 weeks' times and the 3 night package has never once budged from $131.99.
  18. That would usually be the case with Royal as they generally use the canal sailings to reposition ships moving seasonally between the Caribbean and Alaska. However, there are some other cruise lines that do regular canal sailings back and forwards several times a year. I know Princess and NCL do; there may well be others.
  19. I wouldn't have wanted either. Not a fan of the raw stuff.
  20. I think it kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a Chef's Table when the menu is the same across the entire fleet and irrespective of the time of year or location where the ship is sailing. It's just my opinion but I really think each individual chef should be able to give free rein to their creativity using seasonal local produce. Keeping the exact same menu going for years is just plain daft (again just my opinion).
